That’s why I don’t care if she goes through this entire pandemic without singing a single song for “the fans.” They got enough from her over the years. She’s earned the time off.

She was at the peak of her career and she and Rene wanted to keep her at the very top and gain the most of her status at that time, which - from a business perspective - is what you should do while you are at the top. I think she wanted to stay relevant and not "allow" people to say that her previous work was better that what she offers now, so she was on a constant race. I think it's just natural. if you achieve this success and status on a global scale, you want to keep it and not get to a point where your work gets worse and makes you stop. Did I say she did? She worked her #ss off to make money and to catapult herself to the top of her career. And she did that. So there’s no longer a reason for her to work so hard. She also worked her #ss off from 2002-2007. But it’s never enough for the fans. “Work harder! Sing for us! Dance for us! Release this! Release that! Why are you so lazy? Céline did a lot of work during the 90’s and she’s non stop working since late 80’s. It’s so stressful for an artist to build a career like that. Thank god it did great!

 

I’m curious if Rene didn’t get sick back in Late 90’s. Will she keep on going or was it really the time to relax and try to have a baby - maybe this since they have been married since 1994 and yet no baby. Being busy and stressed won’t make you pregnant. I think she will still take a break even if Rene didn’t get sick. Since in her comeback she is nonstop talking about Rene Charles in interviews lol

I think demands from fans are normal but I always see Céline like Apple - instead of listening to the fans. She controls the fans.

 

That is what Apple is doing but still I’m an apple user since it’s simple yet very organized haha

You're right. But it might require Sony to do something. We don't know. And if it does fall to a company which Celine owns...maybe Celine saw the footage and, just like the Millennium concert, she didn't like what she saw and so doesn't want it released. If it's her property, it's her decision as to whether she wants that to be made public. Not yours. She's not going to do something to please you. She doesn't know you. Again...none of us have any inside knowledge into what's going on and why these things aren't being released. I can understand your frustration but, if you don't find a way to let it go, you're just going to stay frustrated for possibly years...over what? That a concert you want isn't being released? Or a music video? Is it really worth it to get upset over that?

 

These things will probably never see the light of day. And I've said this before...none of us will ever know the business reasons why. There could be a million reasons (give me a million reasons.)

They initially wanted to take a break at the end of 1997, way before René got sick but because of Titanic they had to keep going. Also, they had already planned the Millennium Concert and knew that it was going to be the last show long before René got sick. I don’t think it had much to do with that.

No. They weren't going to release Let's Talk About Love. She'd just spent 3 years touring her most successful French and English albums to date and she wanted a break. However, James Horner approached with MHWGO. Once they decided to record it, they knew (because of how music worked at that time) that she needed to have an album for it to go on. So they began work on another album to build on the success of Falling Into You with the understanding that she'd have to embark on another world tour to support it. Exactly. She was going to take her break without releasing any album. Because back in those days, she still had to tour in order to sell the album. After MHWGO of course, everything changed. She can tour an album off of just her name if she wants to. The only reason I think Courage came about was because it had been six years since her last English album, the album was ready to release, and by having a world tour named after Courage, she could hide that it was simply another greatest hits tour and sell tickets through Europe, where she'd been recently essentially doing a greatest hits tour.

Indeed! All they have to do is drop the existing footage on iTunes, Amazon Prime, Google Play and Netflix. Celine would have noting to do.

That particular reviewer always seemed like a fraud to me lol. I laughed to myself at the possibility that she is just passing off opinions as if she were a voice coach just to get views and a little bit of money.

 

Probably not the case, but has she ever actually sung? And if so, has she sung as good as you would expect a voice teacher to?
