For some reason the thing Céline does at 3:00 really sticks with me and gets stuck in my head lol

That particular reviewer always seemed like a fraud to me lol. I laughed to myself at the possibility that she is just passing off opinions as if she were a voice coach just to get views and a little bit of money.

 

Probably not the case, but has she ever actually sung? And if so, has she sung as good as you would expect a voice teacher to?

 

1. She is definitely not a fraud. She’s one of the most legit vocal coaches on YouTube. She’s trained in every vocal technique out there and has been teaching real classes for many years.

 

2. Yes she has sung and does so very often. She’s also very good, better than most singers out there.

 

She really is a professional and knows what she’s talking about. She also seems like a very nice person (I watched a 50 minute Q&A with her haha).

She has some bias though. But I have to admit that even when she criticises Celine, I kinda agree with what she says.

I'll take your word! I just never heard her sing in the several videos that I watched, and what she said didn't seem like it required an inordinate amount of knowledge. But that doesn't mean one should generalize and assume.

She says that Céline, Mariah and Whitney were her favorite singers growing up and they’re the ones who inspired her to sing. I don’t know why she seemed against Céline at the beginning but nowadays she seems more biased towards Céline than against her.

Scott also understands that, when you lower a song’s key it makes it sound slower to people’s ears. If you’re going to lower an uptempo, you have to speed it up. He did that with both TTWII and IDAN.

I just love the chemistry they have together! And the high note she does at 2:55 is one of my favorite ones she's done. Also, I think this song make her completely believable in the alternative/soft rock mood she was really going for on LTAL album, in tracks like Miles to Go and others.
