Celine would be completely overshadowed with these releases. Not that they are competition per say, but they would be such strong sellers they would and will dominate over the season. brisbaneboy Posted August 24, 2017 at 01:22 AM Posted August 24, 2017 at 01:22 AM So have been thinking... lately I've been listening to TCOML and FIY albums... what stands out on both is the best single was the second single - so the album had hype (TPOL and FIY respectively) but then also longevity (TT and IACBTMN respectively) It gave the albums depth and colour - not to mention the vast number of other amazing tracks on each. No album since AND has truly had an equally good or better second single. This was never more true than LMBTL. I really wish the title track was single number 2 and a better lead was sourced.. so they could have built hype and then said "but wait, there's more" and showcased her depth with the beat-drop badass-ness of the Sia-penned tune. It also greatly bothered me in interviews when she spoke about the single LMBTL that it was about when a loved one is in a coma and that there have been cases where people have awoken because of the love of others. She either really took the lyrics literally or just didn't articulate it well. Her latest comments today outside her bag launch tell me she's in a super creative place, so hopefully we get a kickass live DVD for Christmas, then a new album for her 50th. I'm really sick and tired of her English albums debuting in November, without ever failing the album gets put away by the holiday and Christmas season. Her only radio play usually comes from AC radio which goes to a month long Christmas song station. I hope we get it in March like we had ANDHC and OH and I hope the album contains some "summery songs". Songs like " A New Day Has Come" , "I'm Alive", " Reveal" etc. These songs are the perfect driving with the windows down, shades on type of songs which would be perfect if she did the album in March with summer right around the corner, also with the current trend shes been doing she usally is out of Vegas during the summer months which would give her LOTS of time to do a decent promotion. 3 Quote

It's a perfect time to release an album, especially for an artist in Céline's calibre. BUT....it depends what the goal is. If they want to go for sales, Fall/holiday season is the perfect period, if they want to go for a #1, it isn't. If they want to for a Grammy nomination, it should be released before the end of September.
