Ive always want to hear this in her LV shows, got the crowd up and dancing then moved onto with LCMM/RDMH ,it would have been epic

She's constantly said she does not consider herself a songwriter, and that it's an art form of it's own, in which she is not part of the club.

And there's nothing wrong with that. The insinuation that somehow it makes her an inferior artist is, frankly, a little offensive.

Celine Dion writing songs like "Don't Save It All For Christmas Day" hardly makes her more of an artist. :giggle: Songs she's written are hardly compelling, artistic songs! I would much rather her have songs written for her by people who bask in the CRAFT of songwriting. Sia, Adele -- those are true pop song writers.

 

Celine Dion's sheer vocals and interpretations of songs are more than enough for to be considered one of the GREATS.

I don't want to be a Debby downer here... but I don't think it's coming this year. There was something about this fall but that was a rumor. It just seems like they're just really early in the process still, from the way they're holding back nearly everything.

Both articles sound like it's early days and that she'll keep working on it in the fall, so I don't expect an imminent release.

 

Dennis says that yes, Le Ballet was Celine's idea. As was the B&W rap segment with the boys.

 

And (burn!) he also says "Aldo's absence wasn't really felt".

Not every singer is a songwriter. I have made a living as a singer for 20 years - I couldn't write my own songs if you (wait for it....) paid me! :giggle: We know that Celine has sung a line of a song (DSIAFCD) and then other songwriters took that and created an entire song from it. But no where, from anything that I have ever read about Celine, from other sources, or herself, has said that she considers herself a songwriter. She seems to actively not want to write songs. It's not in her. It's not her thing. Right? I know that many of us here would like for Celine to be a different person - a songwriter. But she only sees herself as a singer. And, I think she probably knows herself better than any of us do!

The Raiders NFL team is also heading to Vegas next season in 2018. Usually after a new stadium is built they do a SuperBowl in the new arena within the first couple years who better than the queen of Vegas to do finally get her halftime show...Vegas will be the best chance for it to happen.
