I think it will be interesting to see if they decide to add Recovering, The Show Must Go On and How Does A Moment Last Forever to the album or will they leave the songs as digital singles only. I personally would love these even as bonus song, but The Show Must Go On would need vocals reworked (just a certain part...)

IMO, the new album should include only brand-new songs.

"Recovering" and "How Does a Moment Last Forever", only as a bonus or on a future compilation like The Collector's Series Vol. 2.

Maybe they could release an EP with the album, like a special edition release, with the live versions of these songs from this years tour? That's if the full tour isn't released by itself.

I say no to TSMGO. Recovering only with new arrangements and HDAMLF as a bonus track.

i feel like they will include "How Does A Moment Last Forever" to this album like "Beauty and the Beast" on Celine Dion Album 1992

 

I hope none of these takes up any valuable space, they've had their moments / still do. They are ALL currently performed in her live shows, good enough.

The Swedish team knows how to make pop hits but I don't think they know how to work with Celine voice. They are too bland and somehow sounds aggressive (maybe not the best adjective).

Well considering she used to work a LOT with Swedish songwriters/composers (Aldo Nova?) in the past and some great songs came out of it, I think they do. As long as Humberto is in the house.

Somebody Loves Somebody is only 4 years old and it already sounds way more dated (if any) than any song included in One Heart or ANDHC.

 

I don't even want to mention Save Your Soul, what's that song even about? It always amazes me that any fan mentions this track when we submit our list of songs that we wish to be performed live lol. How can a song be more forgettable than this one?

 

What a junk of an album they did with LMBTL, sorry Only Sia and Thankful can be saved for future references IMO.

I agree. I have to admit that I actually never listen to the LMBTL album. Can't remember the last time I listened to it actually. Sometimes I listen to the song LMBTL or unfinished songs, but that's it

I was so surprised the other day reading the producer of the last Lana del Rey album (Rick Nowels) was the guy who co-wrote ........FALLING INTO YOU ...whaaaat!! and he also wrote songs for Florence and the machine, Dido, Likke li, Cee-lo... and other great artist... why aren't they taking the phoneeeee???????????

If i were celine i'll bring back her old teams (producers, writers, etc) and make a new hit even if this era only (for this upcoming album) The A New Day Has Come writer wants to work with her again. i love kara to make her a new song David Foster? her team in 1995-2002? “Somebody Loves Somebody” could’ve worked live and better on record if they had played up the fact that it has a late 80s - early 90s vibe. They didn’t go far enough in the production to make it be a true throwback which is what would’ve needed to happen...

 

“Save Your Soul” is the definition of “filler track”... fine to listen to but I could never see her singing it live.

 

I would add “Breakaway,” “Didn’t Know Love,” and even “Water and a Flame” to your list (even tho 2/3 of the songs I listed are covers!) as I think Céline did a fantastic job on these and it would’ve been amazing to hear her do “Breakaway” fully live (although, it probably would’ve been cut after Copenhagen lol)

The cover subject always gives me a bittersweet taste. I simply can't see why she shouldn't cover other songs...

 

Here is how I see things : she receives songs, her team does a first filter and then she must choose between what... maybe 50 songs ?

 

In all fairness, her team has always been wiser in picking good covers than good original songs. I mean statistically speaking,...

 

Of course, there were some wrong steps but still.

 

2 days ago, I discovered that "A new dawn" was a cover. Well, I knew that Linda Perry had sung it before but I thought it was not on any official record but it is. And well...Linda's version is awful.

 

So I'm glad when she covers some obscur song that nobody knows. Because she is the proof that a song can be good depending on who sings it.

Yes, Somebody loves somebody, Breakaway and Didn’t Know Love would have been amazing live .
