Songs like A New day has come, that's the way it is and i'm alive have been hits and they still are fresh and pop. The Rita Ora song sounds okay but it is instantly forgettable. Off course it is nice for her to reinvent herself but the loved me back to life album was not a huge hit.

Ballads are not always boring. The songs just have to have a fresh vibe, have to stand the time, need to be great popsongs. New ones..no covers i hope.

And not only ballads, uptempo songs too but i hope they become her new tourmaterial later on and part of the songs that people want to hear live, just as because you loved me and mhwgo.

I think ALL Celine "uptempo" pop songs sounds outdated, sillies and cheap. Something designed for a childish boys band...very poor for her status... But reading your posts in general I say again that it doesn't matter, she will never please everybody... there is three big fanbases:

 

1) "I want the jazzy-soul-"rock" ballad diva" in the way of the big names like Aretha, Carole King, Sarah Vaughn, Diana Krall, Streisand, Etta james, Whitney ... or of course her beloved Adele (I include myself in this group of fans)

 

2) "I want the coolest Celine ever" in the way of EDM, Madonna, Rihanna, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Cher, dance music, top of the pop charts, poppy girl bands or of course Sia...

 

3) "Celine is GOD" it doesn't matter... everything is perfect if it is Celine.

 

So she makes everything and nothing so she please everybody with something and she is one of the most undefined artist or she becomes the Titanic ballad lady and nothing more, nothing less... at the end... "she has nothing to prove".. meh-...

 

I have my chances in this musical director and also producer in the album, I think he takes the most classy Celine, and I think that's what she is.. But, I'm in the first fanbase group.. ahahaha

Sorry.. but One Heart is everything but timeless.

Coulda Woulda Shoulda, One Heart, Sorry For Love, Love is All We Need... those songs sound very dated.

The man who once tried to sell Amy Winehouse a slowed-down version of Puppet On A String is currently punting a song he hopes Celine Dion will want to record (she just doesn’t know it yet).

He's born in 1939, so 77 years old. Not wishing that he will die anytime soon! He's got 5 children, who will probably inherit him and control his music... unless there is some rule that the music goes to Céline or something. I've got no idea... but hopefully

I definately want another Xmas album (with mostly new songs - including the 5 by David Foster which are still hidden away in a vault), but first a new English album.

 

Or maybe her new manager will discover something that is called an "EP"........

Céline's English album is now expected for 2017's Q4.

 

Rob Stringer's Sony Music (26.8% YTD) will likely be led by RCA, which has albums on deck from P!nk, Miley Cyrus, Foo Fighters and possibly Justin Timberlake, (though it probably won’t drop until Q1), while sizzling Epic preps releases from Meghan Trainor and Fifth Harmony, and Columbia will release Celine Dion’s first album since 2013.
