"Courage" album - Official Topic

I think she could also have a personal album by having songwriters write specifically for her, like P!nk did with “Recovering,” like Linda Perry did with “My Love,” like David Foster did with “Tell Him” and “Miracle.” These always end up being some of her best, as opposed to just selecting stock songs.

 

I’m excited to hear what Sia wrote for this album, as they will likely be personal for Céline.

 

Personally, I think it should be half and half. I mean, Celine doesn't chose songs randomly, but for a reason. Since A New Day Has Come era she has released plenty of personal albums. So, let's see something 'different'. Don't get me wrong, I am more than happy to know that personal feelings get shared but from time to time it would nice to listen to different stories, realities and sounds as well.

Well we could have more "Les yeux au ciel's" (or 'Encore un soir').... as in Céline has a certain theme/subject in her head, and songwriters will then write a song about it.

I'm just glad Chris Hanna is a Celine fan...I think he's one of the main reasons a lot of this quirky Celine stuff ends picked up by other English-language media outlets. (Chris is a web producer for one of Canada's largest newspaper chains and often is a bridge between the French coverage and the English, and he gets this stuff from JDM and TVA out there to all the millennials writing culture / lifestyle pieces for the major English online media.)

Plus his Celine-related Twitter content is always fab. This is one of my vintage favorites:

9 pop-rock, dance, uptempo songs + 9 balads or unplugged songs.

I certainly hope we'll be good surprised. I mean we heard about Ma Faille, like what, 10 months before EUS was actually released?? So maybe they're keeping it under wraps because it's such a good album!

because they did. I think that it was in 2011 when she said she is gonna do a "evening gown album", which makes sense when you look at the second part of the tracklist. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to judge because we haven't heard any of the songs yet, but I think that it's a shame that she is collaborating with the same songwriters like for the LMBTL album (Linda Perry, Eg White, Diane Warren) because I personally was never crazy about the songs they wrote for LMBTL. She should work with writers she worked with for the ANDHC album. Those songs were fresh and amazing!

I'm sure that Celine Dion's next album will be released in 2018. I type on her 50th birthday. I can already see the headline: No fountain of eternal youth, no Madonna - BUT a woman of flesh and blood with the unbroken power of an angel an icebreaker....

And then a promotion tour through Europe and Asia (Focus on England and Ireland, because France will get the next album in 2019 or 2020. - Germany? No, forget them, they have Helene Fischer and no really good taste... and US-people can go to the Celine-Dion-Show to Las Vegas till 2046...)

Celine does not "need" any duet with no one. Period. In fact I don't want any duet or covers. Just original material with Celine and herself. And as far as "making the hot 100 again" Who cares. She's above that anyway.

And the plus (+) could work very well to promote it.

Yes, I remember that. Back then, Susan Boyle stormed the charts everywhere in the world, so they wanted to follow suit and make a similar album. Then Adele appeared and they changed their plans and started with the grainy voice thing.

I know! Since when did Celine have to be anyone but herself? I'm hoping with this new album Sony see that people love Celine because she is different! When her voice is one of the best in the world why sing like someone else?
