PuraVida Posted December 21, 2020 at 06:46 PM Posted December 21, 2020 at 06:46 PM She doesnt own you any information do you wanna go over her contracts also to check? if you agree? lol please stop being so ..... Lol Huh? I couldn’t make sense of your comment. No. I do not want to go over her contracts. I am saying sometimes artists give hints or talk explicitly about projects that they are in talks with or or working on, and then later on se come to find out (sometimes because fans or interviewers ask) they didn’t work out. If I am not mistaken, the dream of playing Maria Callas was one such thing Celine mentioned to us. For example. But nowadays, we don’t get the same level of communication from Celine, so a lot of the fan rumors about her projects are just rumors! Then we never know what was true or false 2 Quote
Xpresso Posted December 21, 2020 at 07:11 PM Posted December 21, 2020 at 07:11 PM (edited) Celine used to talk about projects before but since many didn't materialize (or were not officially released, ie. that duet with Luis Miguel), she decided to stop talking about any possible projects it seems. And I can't blame her. Edited December 21, 2020 at 07:12 PM by Xpresso Quote

ryba Posted December 21, 2020 at 08:06 PM Posted December 21, 2020 at 08:06 PM I think she talks about wishing to do things (i.e. acting with R Raynolds) because she wants producers attention and basically communicated to the industry that she is available and willing to. Then people send her offers and she chooses. 1 Quote
Alex_Incognito Posted December 21, 2020 at 08:10 PM Posted December 21, 2020 at 08:10 PM (edited) Well a year after Courage’s release I honestly feel that this album is my least favorite English album. It is pretty weak . To the point that I don’t even remember many of the songs by their names. The second half of the album is such a sleeper and the bonus songs are nothing special. That said, there are some songs I really do like. « Imperfections » is nice. « For The Lover That I lost » as well. “Courage” being the gem on the album. I fear we will have to wait another decade for a follow up English album. What a shame that she is in such a marvelous voice and has recorded so few albums in the last 15 years. The industry is full of mediocre music. And this album is more of that. Edited December 21, 2020 at 08:13 PM by Alex_Incognito 1 Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
ryba Posted December 21, 2020 at 09:07 PM Posted December 21, 2020 at 09:07 PM (edited) My favourite tracks are The Hard Way and Heart Of Glass. I also like FOMO and Imperfections. I never listen to Say Yes (the electric and artificial arrangement is horrible. A beautiful guitarr arrangement would take this sing to a totally different level). Falling in love once again is boring as well. I don't like Nobodys Watching. How did you get here is too repetitive and gets awfully boring after the first chours. The same with Baby. But overall, the production is really clean and top notch! Edited December 21, 2020 at 09:21 PM by ryba Quote

Dancing_Queen Posted December 21, 2020 at 09:38 PM Posted December 21, 2020 at 09:38 PM I'm sure I've said it before, but Courage has zero skips for me. 'Lying Down' is easily one of her best English tracks ever. I can't pick my other favourites because they keep changing (though The Chase holds a special place in my heart ♥️). There's something I like about each and every song (e.g. I've recently fallen in love with her interpretation on Lovers Never Die). And (most of) the lyrics aren't super generic/cheesy for once, I could connect with so many of them, which is rare for me. Courage is her only English album I can listen to as a whole. 7 Quote

sarit_celine Posted December 21, 2020 at 11:46 PM Posted December 21, 2020 at 11:46 PM (edited) Oh don't get your hopes up love her team are a f****** joke! Knowing her team, most of fans feeling turned out to be untrue. Apple collaboration, Netflix documentary, Play Me Like a Love Song release date, James Bond soundtrack, LD music video, etc. I mean for her status to not to do something special for this 2021 after she was in complete hush during all this yearwill be against any logic and the virtual events she did took part in- were all forgettable and didn't put her as the important mega star she is. She faded away so quick from the public eye after Courage was out, until this day I can't believe the lack of importance by her team, only the diehard fans know she has new album. Yes her team is bunch of usless, most uncreative people she could ever had but after all this absence they have to find ways how to bring her just a bit back into the public eye when it comes to music. I'm still looking foward for new music by her, what approach she will take. I think how her team handled this album affected on (my) the connection with the album, but after some time it's definitely a grower. On many songs she did fantastic job, delivering her emocions, that's the most important thing for me in a Celine song. The effectsthey add to her lovely raw vocals should be taken away, they must stop ruining her vocals. She still has this amazing voice, I wish one day they will release all the unreleased songs, she should have so much, adding that she recorded so many songs only for Courage 1 Quote "Needed in the chaos and confusion, from the plains to City HallNeeded where the proud who walk the wire are set to fall"
PuraVida Posted December 22, 2020 at 01:14 AM Posted December 22, 2020 at 01:14 AM (edited) I think the album has flaws, but if you cut a few tracks off of this album (it’s too long to be cohesive and perfect play flow) and fix her diction—a big problem I have—it’s probably her best album in English since at least ANDHC. That said, Taking Chances is also very underrated Edited December 22, 2020 at 01:15 AM by PuraVida 2 Quote
maki_Dion-er Posted December 22, 2020 at 03:37 AM Posted December 22, 2020 at 03:37 AM ANDHC, Taking Chances, LMBTL, and Courage are the English albums I have listened to from start to finish without skipping. But out of all Courage is the most cohesive imo. Musically and/or in lyrics there's a thematic thread through almost every song. I don't have an issue with her pronunciation, perhaps it's because I'm used to other artists who don't perform with perfect diction. I also can't imagine some of these songs if she sang them with pristine pronunciation. 2 Quote

I listen to it regularly. Courage had everything to be a great album, but the production of her vocals made unbearable to me and, overall, it's a forgettable album. And it got old really quickly, probably because it's too pop, and that's the thing with pop albums. These younger artists drop an album every 8 months, one year tops, because pop productions usually get old in a couple months. 5 Quote

Céline RO Posted December 22, 2020 at 07:03 AM Posted December 22, 2020 at 07:03 AM Taking Chances is, for me, her best English album of the 21st century. Courage is also great but, as other have said, the lack of promotion made it lose its energy. My least favorite song is definitely “Nobody’s Watching”, the album would be better without it. Falling into You remains the best English album she’s ever released, it deserves to be the best-selling one too. 2 Quote The best is yet to come...
