This. 2016/2017 was even a better time.

When she went to all those TV shows, they even could have dropped an EP or at least something.

 

But instead they promoting Recovering as a new song from her yet to be released new album

 

For me she should just stay where she is now. So used of not seeing or hearing a thing from her.

Stay in that forest for another year, get some inspiration, finally write your own music and create some magic and comeback.

I'm shocked not many recognized it immediately or remember it. It was released as a single. It was done as group collab song on Annie's 2007 album Songs of Mass Destruction. You could miss Celine's vocals if you didn't know to listen for them.

 

I think there was a video on Youtube before this VEVO one that had many more views.

yea this song was from 2007 (over 13 years ago,) i remember when it came out & saw the original video of the song on youtube & facebook back in the day (& instagram & twitter did not exist quite yet back then,) & read about the song being a charity single for HIV/AIDS research...

 

the thing is, while the song is ok (but not great compared to the other charity songs celine had been a part of in the past, such as "voices that care" & "what more can i give?", now i LOVE those 2 songs,) i remember listening to "SING" several times & i had NEVER heard celines voice @ all in that song!! & i had listened to it many times since then, & STILL to this day have never heard celines voice @ all!! it was "drowned out" by the other singers, especially annie lennox & madonna!! may i ask have you heard celines voice in this song?? in fact i wonder if anybody else on this forum has heard celines voice in this song or not?? im just curious lol... thanks so much!! 😊👍

I mean, if that's where Celine's music journey takes her, then that's where it takes her. A chanting album is no less weird than a gospel album....they are both part of religious practice.

Yes i could hear her at certain moments. Madonna was not special in this song imo.

Well, considering the album was released in 2019 I think it's pretty decent results in 2020. Probably December 2019 numbers are included for the above results though, but still I think not bad.

But let's face it: nobody, except diehard fans or her older fanbase, buy cd's anymore! Even my parents are streaming their favorite music on Spotify on a Bluetooth speakerset. The times that cds were important are way over.
