I don't think it's fair to judge Celine's gifts to fans by her Quebec shows. That's her home crowd. And in general, yes her French fans have always gotten better treats and setlists.

 

In the case of the Courage World Tour, she happened to carry the French songs over to the Ottawa show. But I still think it's hard to defend her CWT choices based on that, especially since she later cut Lying Down, right?

 

Ziggy was performed in 2016 and 2013. Regarde-Moi was in 2013. A Vous was performed in 2017. I understand you got the best deal, but yeah all these stats are just things to think about when debating setlist.

 

I certainly understand your point but for me the only shows I have attended in the last few years have been in Quebec so I can only compare it to the ones I have seen. Most of the people attending the shows would not have heard these either unless they had traveled outside Quebec.

 

I guess we will only know what they have in mind for Europe once the tour resumes.

I interpreted it as just Celine being her very quirky self and having fun with her band. I'm sad she stopped doing the band introduction songs, like Le Ballet, as she did in the 1990s

 

Not sure if her 1993 world tour did the same thing. It didn't appear on the video recording we have.

Here is the link for those wondering. Starts at 2:15 ... it sounds great to me! The first verse impressed me more than the chorus, but I love when Celine gives attitude.

It could be perhaps one single show every two months or whatever that is advertised and marketed specifically to include tracks such as this. Advertised that it won’t contain “the hits.” Surely it’s worth a try even just once to see if there’s any interest in it.

She's definitely not going to lose money in any significant sense when she does this. Even if only 10,000 people worldwide paid 5 dollars to see the live show online, that would clearly mean that people were compensated enough for their time.

 

Celine gets 10k, and the 20 people who worked on the show otherwise can get 2k each for their work.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why people would rather have a forum where it’s all agreement and #ss kissing of Celine day after day.

 

I myself will be taking a break from the forum for a little, at least until something new and major to talk about comes to light.

It’s sad that plenty of people here want a forum to be a place where it’s all rainbows, unicorns, and butterflies when it comes to Celine’s career decisions . You get ridiculed, named called and bullied when you say something that is true even if it’s harsh. A forum should be a place to speak your opinion no matter what it is, as long as kindness and respect is given to others.

 

The way some here still ridicule a member who no longer posts is just wrong, whether you agree with Javito or not. I always enjoyed his posts and take on his Celine career. Listen, he might have been harsh at times with his opinion of the teams faults but most of the time it was true. Nobody would be spending the time to even post if they weren’t a true Celine fan, but fans are also critics, usually the critics are the biggest fans because they know of what she’s capable of and want only the best. At the end of the day it’s a opinion, we know it won’t “change anything” her and her team does but sometimes in a FORUM, we use this Avenue to speak anyways of what should’ve been, could’ve been, missed opportunities etc... there nothing wrong with that.

 

Hopefully when and if i return to the forum people will learn to discuss differences rather than attack, name call and block others.
