i’d rather see her stand for her music and evolve as an artist instead of singing only a couple of songs even when you have so much brandnew stuff to show. I became a fan because of her incredible singing, not because of her perfumes, her handbags, or being an actress; if she likes to act then make a incredible musicvideo! there are no boundaries for her to do that! If she likes to dance, then show that on stage!

 

In the best of both worlds, she could take that acting passion and make good music videos.

She can practice in her music videos and prove that she can do it to make some movie directors aware.

 

But quite frankly, there is no way that she hasn't been approached to participate in movie projects so far. She has been mentioning that she wants to act for a good few years now. And she still just talks about it, instead of activly doing it. Maybe she looks for a project like A Star Was Born.

I hope so too. There was this written interview where she mentioned that there were a few offers so I take that to mean recent offers. But she also said she was in no rush so either the offers are for movies not yet in production or are on hold or something because no way she can make people wait for when she has the time. Perhaps they aren't offers she likes but I mean, if this is something she really wants, just saying all the time that she wants to act isn't gonna do anything.

Well, who knows, maybe the perfect script will just fall into her lap. Fingers crossed

 

And please, lets not go with the "she's a singer, she needs to sing" mentality again. She can do it all, she's allowed to have different interests and enjoy developing artistically in other areas if she feels like it. It always comes back to performing for her anyway. She loves fashion so we get great looks on stage, loves dancing so now we have a great ballet interlude, and perhaps her interest in acting is the reason we've gotten 2 music videos (whether you like the mv or not is a matter of opinion) for this album plus a short film.

I understand where some fans are coming from with this mentality but she can also dip her toe into other ventures. I embrace those wholeheartedly. Some I pass on but most I enjoy.

I kind of hope it never happens. Not because I think Céline has to stick to music, but because there are certain personalities that are just too outsized, too exhibitionist, and too ingrained in the public's mind to be able to do it successfully. Madonna's acting is terrible. Kylie's acting is terrible. (Note that I am NOT comparing their music here or trying to create the usual fanbase conflict.) Céline has always been about performing, yes, but subtlety is not exactly her strong suit, and her public persona is over-the-top, goofy, EXTRA.

 

I'm sure some of you will be horrified and offended by the above, and I would be more than happy to be proven wrong. There are certainly many singers who've shown themselves to be strong actors as well; I just don't feel that Céline would be one of them. Maybe she could do it in French? That would give her a greater sense of ease and possibly a more natural performance. But I wouldn't bet on it.

There’s a tweet about another video coming up in apple music. The one tweeted that is part of the team who made that video. So, maybe they made it by parts instead of an hour behind the scenes?

I like the video and I prefer getting random things than nothing at all. However, I don’t quite get why it’s called a “behind the scenes” video when it’s not really showing any “behind the scenes” footage (e.g. tour, recording sessions). That would truly be amazing! There was an alternate photoshoot for the LMBTL album? I though the only difference was they replaced the name Water and a Flame to LMBTL.

So that's 100% confirmation no deluxe tracks on the vinyl, then. Looks good, but I still don't get why they didn't choose a fire-orange color for the discs rather than ruby red. Also, do the four sides have no label copy on them or can I just not see it on my screen?
