So about the vinyl, does it have the bonus tracks? Different sites all have different listings for it - but the video I watched of it released last week from Greece did not include them.

Now that Valentine's Day has passed without any news about PMLALS it's time to think about LD's music video again. It has to be released, especially after Celine herself told us about the concept.

Keep in mind, Lying Down didn’t take off as a single in the US. Unexpectedly, it was Imperfections that radio audiences became enamored with. I think it’s still doing well on the AC charts, yes? So no need to release a new single yet. They may decide to release LD and the music video eventually or they may choose another song as a single release. Am a little confused as to why they took the time for a music video for Courage - although that’s the one consistent song she sings in the tour and it’s the title track of the album.

I might be wrong, but I recall they released 3 songs (Courage, Imperfections, & Lying Down) as single simultaneously on 18 September 2019.

they just released them for download just like FOMO, but I’m not sure if all were „singles“

Exactly. Other artists do this all the time it’s just that Celine had never done it before. But with, Kelly Clarkson, let’s say, you could pre-order the album on iTunes and immediately download 2 or 3 tracks off of it. Those weren’t necessarily singles. Why do the record companies do that? Only they know. I’m sure there’s a reason and they’re tracking something but I have no idea what.

The photos are also beautiful.

 

I just love how we finally have an English album that actually represents Celine Dion as a fully rounded human rather than just Celine Dion the untouchable vocalist. None of her previous English albums feel particularly personal, especially now in comparison to Courage.

 

In some ways, we as fans are probably more connected to her previous English material than Celine herself. Since we were the ones who experienced life while listening to those songs, playing them on repeat for years and years, and they're embedded into our memories.

 

Courage feels like an honest glimpse into her journey / emotions.

Been primarily streaming on Amazon Music -- and either listening on my computer, my iPhone or on a little portable Bose speaker.

I think at this point they won’t release LD music video. I mean, it was clear from the start that LD was meant to be the first single. Months before Courage is out, they talked that Sia penned three songs for Celine. Then they ‘released’ LD snippet in Karaoke Carpool. At that point some fans called it Poison. Then there was behind the scene of the making LD video where Celine talked about the concept of video in red dress, something about red and Mars theme. But once Courage released, suddenly they dropped three songs as single. Then there was nothing. They even dropped LD from Courage World Tour setlist.

 

So at this point, just like EUS, I think LD music video will never see the light of day. What is the point of release it now? Marketing and promo is about momentum. And the momentum has gone. Even if they release it now, I think it’s already too late to boost Courage sales.

 

Her team is a big mess, promotional wise. But that is the fact that we have to accept. We’re just lucky to get 20 brand new songs in this era. Don’t expect a brilliant promo of Courage because tour is their and only priority now. Pity, they called it Courage World Tour when in reality it is more like greatest hits tour with only 2 songs from Courage, out of 20’s songs performed.

Or maybe just the fact like with every other artist, they want to space release of singles and music videos out so its not all condensed.

 

September 18th - 3 Songs are released

September 26th - Imperfections Music Video Released

November 13th - Courage Music Video Released

November 15th - Courage Album released

January ?? - Soul released to rest of the world

February 14th - Courage Red Vinyl released

I think so. Whether we like it or not, Courage promo has dead. Seems like there will be no second wave of promo. It’s too bad because Courage has so many single materials. Heart of Glass, Change My Mind, etc.

Promo has been awful though and through with this amazing album. I’m very disappointed.

I’m still curious about the music video for LD. The concept seems to be very interesting and unprecedented.

 

It looks like the song didn’t take off as they expect and maybe they decided not to promote the song any further. However, quite frankly, how do they expect people to love it if she doesn’t promote it on tv or elsewhere. Only singing it on tour a few times is not enough. They need to drumm it up!

Same thing is happened here. Celine is a very big name in Indonesia. Most of Indonesian know her, love her, praise her. But ask them about Courage, they really have no idea.

My guess is that some (big) people at Sony were not happy with the LD music video, otherwise they would release it. Same with EUS.

they should be informed first before the shoot took place and they paid for it. If they didn’t like the concept, they would look for another direction for the video.

well, quite frankly, that footage is beyond amateur and cringeworthy. I wonder why they haven’t chosen some good directors for that music video, same people they had for Goodbyes.
