What does Celine really think about this album, because I have no idea Kev xShe LOVES it and is so proud of it. That is all. ajguerras Posted February 24, 2020 at 10:21 PM Posted February 24, 2020 at 10:21 PM I think that this story would be totally different if Céline was a songwriter. When I see songwriters, I feel love for every song ... They want them all to be heard, none to be hidden. Songs are like child for them. They always find a way, a little place to sing at least 80% of the songs in their albums. And the most important thing, a songwriter takes a big part of the royalties each time their song is performed. I hope she shows a little more love for the songs in Courage, It is a wonderful effort that should not be wasted. 1 Quote I need someone to loves m like Celine loved René... And just like she sang in LTAL track # 16, I ask for that exact same thingwww.twitter.com/ajguerras
celinefan1985 Posted February 25, 2020 at 02:01 AM Posted February 25, 2020 at 02:01 AM (edited) In the past, Celine was always aware to thank writers who would send her songs. Without their songs, there would be no Celine. But I wonder how, with each successive album being less and less successful, who would want to send her songs? If, at a minimum, her songs are not released as singles and on top of it, she doesn’t bother signing them on a tour that bears the album’s title, which writer would waste an opportunity? I attended her concert in Montreal and for the first time in all the times I have seen her, I was bored. Even my partner thought the concert was lame. He even noticed the lipping on IACBTMN and TPOL. Standout moment was the Prayer which was divine. And I hated the new version on PQTME. One of her biggest hits that no one could sing to because she changed it up so much... Such a waste because there are 5 exceptional songs on Courage. Edited February 25, 2020 at 02:02 AM by celinefan1985 1 Quote
ajguerras Posted February 25, 2020 at 03:41 AM Posted February 25, 2020 at 03:41 AM I believe you when you say you got bored, because I can see her bored, monotonous. Forcedly triyng to be funny and to give her best. I have not seen her enjoying her work in years, she needs to rest, need time to cry her mother, and then rest again. She has been working so hard that, suddenly, it does not look enjoyable anymore. IMHO. Quote I need someone to loves m like Celine loved René... And just like she sang in LTAL track # 16, I ask for that exact same thingwww.twitter.com/ajguerras
Chantemoi Posted February 25, 2020 at 06:29 AM Posted February 25, 2020 at 06:29 AM (edited) If you think she looked bored on this tour, you obviously didn’t see her in the last few weeks of her residency... THAT was a disappointment. The only songs I truly enjoyed were “You’re the Voice” & PQTME (my first time hearing it live). Even “Can’t Help Falling in Love” was boring. On the contrary, this tour has been mostly good. I attended the Chicago show —she was on FIRE— and I didn’t think she’d top that. But the clips I saw from Atlantic City the other night have proven me wrong. Her voice is even better, and her movements on stage are much more fluid. And I hate to say it, but the medley was really good (if not because it was 100% live and full of new vocal improvisations). One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen from her —vocally— especially on this tour. Edited February 25, 2020 at 06:33 AM by Chantemoi 2 Quote

Popular Post giannislyber Posted March 1, 2020 at 09:01 AM Popular Post Posted March 1, 2020 at 09:01 AM Celine gave a very nice interview in a Greek newspaper that came out yesterday. I tried to translate it for you. A few months ago you released your first English album in six years. When did you start writing "Courage"? Did you have a vision of what you want to explore, both musically and lyrically? Basically, I feel like I've been working on this album my whole life, but it was actually two years ago when I started working on it. I had no specific vision of what I would like to do or get from this record. It is my first English-language album since my husband's death. So it was the first time I sang in English without him by my side. However, when the songs started coming to me, they put me in a mood to want to record them and be pretty excited about them. I don't write my own songs and people know that. Not that I'll never write. I hope one day I can do it. But at the moment I'm not writing my own pieces. So, in a way, I'm always curious. I am very proud of this album because we have new artists, composers and producers. This album has a sense of savagery. Many people go through difficult times. I too - for the sake of precision all my family - had a hard time, after losing one of my brothers. And when you have songs to hold on to and you can show yourself to people, knowing that it's very therapeutic for you, it's kind of liberating. In a way - and I want you to believe it - it helps people, because music is not just an expression, you get married. It doesn't matter what music you like when you're getting married or losing people. You just find support for a song and it helps. So, I hope "Courage" like the rest of the album's songs help people get through some "happy" moments. I would not like to say sad moments, even though we all know they exist in life. I am proud of this album and I hope the fans have not been disappointed. What was the biggest challenge you faced in recording "Courage"? I did not face any particular challenges because it was fun to work with new people, as well as a different sound and approach. Especially at the point where my career is right now. You know, I don't need to sound in a specific way. I don't need to avoid specific things. Basically, I can do anything. I have my own band, which supports me and we choose my songs together, but I will always say the last word. If I don't feel or dislike a song, I won't interpret it. As for the album process, it was very creative. For example, I choose to sing the whole album with a microphone, but this time we chose different microphones. We've tried things like playing with technology and sound just a little bit more. We chose a particular approach, more immediate and more inspiring. We took some risks because when you are in this phase of creativity, you can take as many as you want, as the album is not yet released. Something I've done more than ever on this record. "Flying On My Own" coincided with the closing of your concert in Las Vegas and the announcement of the tour and the album. Aside from being a great, dynamic song, does it represent a newly discovered life that you can have? "Flying On My Own" is a great and powerful song. At first, I am very happy to have an uplifting song and "Flying On My Own" was very representative. I'm not going to tell you the whole story because, as you know, I went through a lot. Some difficult times. And it meant a lot to me to say to myself and the world that my wings were not trapped. I can fly on my own. With the help of many people, don't get me wrong, but even though René has died, I can still fly, I can still sail, I can still sing, I can still have dreams, I can still feel the need, the love and the passion to sing. "Flying On My Own" represents a beautiful, joyful and powerful energy, which I feel and recall within each time I interpret it. I'm very happy that this song has gone so well. "Courage" really talks about your ambitions, a new chapter and an evolution of yourself. Was there anything that you felt you needed courage to call the album that way? I didn't know that a song like this would come. But when it came, it affected me emotionally, because before the song came we had received some pretty songs and I feel very blessed to have people in the process writing for me. However, when "Courage" came into my hands, it somehow represented the whole journey I had gone through, as I explained to you a while ago. Consequently, "Courage", as a song, has this message, which represents not only the album and the tour, but also the three years I've been trying to find the strength within me, among my friends, of the people we work with. , as well as through my fans and their support. And it was quite natural for us to call the tour that way too. And I'm ready. I feel strong because it takes courage to be able to perform songs like this. Tell us, what is the message behind the song "Imperfections" included on your new album... "Imperfections", both musically and lyrically, is something different to interpret. I didn't want to say the song verse by verse, but whole. You may have many dreams and goals, but at some point the situations are stacked on top of each other. When I say in the song that "I have my own imperfections", as well as "I can't hold your heart when I'm fixing mine," it's like you're still mourning your man's loss and it's hard to see light. It's hard to put yourself in touch with other people. Some people ask me "do you have someone in your life?" or "Do you think you'll fall in love again?". It's hard to fall in love again. I'm not saying it won't happen to me, but at the moment I am trying to heal my own feelings, my own problems, my own 'imperfections' before I put myself in the process of making you feel part of the problem. So one thing at a time. Family has always played a key role in your life. Will it be more of a challenge now that you won't be in Las Vegas? It will be difficult for me, not because it will not be my base in Las Vegas, but because it will be the first time I will not have all three of my children with me on the tour. The reason we decided to do this is because all three were smaller in the past. However, the way the tour is designed means that we will move much faster and much more often. We used to have a base in the past. For example, on a tour we did in Europe, our base was Paris for two to three months. So I could get on the plane, travel to whichever country I had to travel in Europe, and then the same night get on the plane and go back to sleep with my kids. This time we are moving a lot more and it would not be healthy for my sons to lose their lessons. It would be tiring. It is difficult, but sometimes you have to forget what you want or want ideally and think about what is most important. And for me it is my children and what is best for them. And with this plan we are all okay. Some time ago I did a little test with them. When I went to Paris with my stylists and left for about eight to ten days, we were talking on Skype and they usually had little time. This has shown me that everything will go well, because two or three times during the tour I will not be able to be with them for about two and a half weeks. You should not lose yourself. Look in the mirror, but don't see you in the mirror. Really seek help from yourself. You will find some strength and you will be good through it. I think we can make it work. It will be healthy for all of us and everything will go well. After all, we'll talk via Skype. Surely everything will go well. You have said in an earlier interview that you enjoy dancing a lot. What does dance offer you? Will it be part of the show in some way? At some point, I stopped for a while and basically had a reflection of myself. And I would say, 'What am I doing for me? Nothing". I always loved dancing, even though I never showed it. For example, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, just to name a few, who love dance so much, say, "Since you love dancing, why don't you dance?" I suppose the songs I chose to perform on stage were not suitable for incorporating a dance number. So finally, when I started "A New Day" in Las Vegas, instead of myself dancing, I said let's hire fifty dancers, it would be so easy and simple. So I had some people do this job for me. However, they were so amazing, so unique and fantastical that I thought, "Jesus, this is the dance after all." And then I thought, 'Well done, Celine. Smart move. " Of course, that was Franco Dragone's idea, and I wouldn't want to receive the credit for it myself. It was really enviable to see all this dedication and warm-up. Get inside the training area and smell the hard work, perseverance and sweat. It was just great. Therefore, I have always loved dance. However, to keep me going, I do ballet and Pepe comes with me and improvises. He is very generous because he really has no time to do this with me. But she's a great dance partner. As well as being my stylist along with Sydney Lopez. I'm addicted to dance. Obviously you have a great sense of humor. Do you think that is why your admirers feel so attached to you? The fact that I get to feel that we are connected is a huge benefit to me and I really enjoy it. I believe we know each other for more reasons than songs and music. So I think I love when I'm on stage and I'm touring. Because I don't feel like I'm singing one song after another. I feel, among my songs, when I talk to them, when they look at me, they really know me and I like that. I come from a large family, so it's like talking to my brothers. I love that. They make me feel comfortable. I try to be absolutely sure that I make them feel comfortable. They sing with me and many times when I forget my words, they shout words to me to remember. Really, they know the lyrics of my songs better than I know them. So yes, this is definitely a great help. However, I do feel that I do have a connection. I don't know if it's because of my humor or because I talk too much or because I wear great outfits or if it's all the above. One thing is for sure, though, that I love them very much. What do you think is the key of being confident and maintaining a positive attitude towards life? It is not easy to maintain a positive attitude towards life and overcome difficulties, but as I said during the interview, we all have had bad times. And, you know, when life decides to give you something, to impose it on you, it's not something you choose. But you have the choice of how to overcome it. There are always two sides to a coin and for me it is one positive and one negative. It doesn't mean it's easy. Some people have a lot of help, while others meditate or are quite extroverted. However, I find that being very spiritual is a great advantage. Having a spirit helps you. You have to stay strong for your friends, family, and yourself. You should not lose yourself. Look in the mirror, but don't see your mirror. Really seek help from yourself. You will find some strength and you will be good through it. Everything will be fine.
