It really is SO good.

 

Hopefully Celine's team will continue to find new ways in order to share this album. There's a lot of easy ways to keep promoting it via her social media.

I really wish they’d share the behind the scenes EPK a fan here in the forum saw at a release party! They could chop it up song by song and post one a day or so 3 a day, line they’re doing with Live à Paris! It would be wonderful and would require little to no work at this point. It would just show how connected she is to the music, because I truly believe she is.

I know this has been posted here a lot of times, but where the hell is Lying Down music video? I mean, we’re at quarentene, her shows has been postponed (for now), there is no promotion of the album. I assume they decided to scrap the Lying Down music video. But maybe now that the tour isn’t happening (at least for a while) — her team can focus on the Courage album again. They can easily come up with some juicy stuff to share with us!

 

I don’t mind these flashbacks they’re posting but they have an entire new album that deserves more attention.

1) This May be the single Celine actually cares about promoting or at least her label does, so they may wait until they actually can

 

2) She’s recently JUST released the Imperfections track and the Wicked Games Spotify Exclusive

 

3) You need to have some sort of pace with the release of singles, they released Imperfections, LD and Courage on Sep 18, Imperfections video came soon after, then in November Courage MV came, December Soul was released worldwide, January Change My Mind rolled out on radio and most recently Imperfections acoustic and wicked games came out

And now we are 6 months after the release of LD as single. I think it’s too late for them to had planned this as a normal release for the video. They’ve probably let it down for some reason.

And now we are 6 months after the release of LD as single. I think it's too late for them to had planned this as a normal release for the video. They've probably let it down for some reason.

Don't ask me why, but as soon as I learnt that she was shooting the video for Lying Down in the red dress and in that Mars-ambienced studio, I instantly had the feeling that we would never watch that video. I don't know, it's like they're afraid of doing something different than the black and white clips for this album

 

In fact, I remember telling my friends "I've got the feeling that this video is going to end up the same way as the Encore Un Soir video..."

The least they could do is repost some of the content that’s already out there. And hopefully they’ll come up with a couple new things too!

 

There really was a good bit of promo for Courage. Her team just didn’t do a great job building momentum.

 

They could post clips from the Tom Power interview, the Today Show interview, other TV interviews, clips from the Céline A to Z radio show, clips from the music videos, footage from the LA event last year and from the Courage tour. They have a lot to work with to remind her general fans / new fans that she’s got a fabulous new album out!

 

 

 

But they’d really blow us all away if they released the Lying Down music video. She could also put out a live performance of a song that speaks to this strange time we’re all living through.

I know a lot are waiting / hoping for Lying Down MV to be released but personally i'd love to see "Baby" be released for a summer single. Feels more fresh and less winterish than lying down or a slow one.

 

She can still service some songs to AC radio and do an interview in early summer when this lifts. Reignite some interest for the album before tour launches again.

 

Mind you; i'm probably dreaming. We'll probably get "Flashback to 1 file et 4 types" videos and photo shots all summer. Lol.

But knowing her and her team well by now, I highly doubt it. See, this is the big mistery behind the current Celine Dion: She records songs and shoots music videos only to keep them unreleased in a vault. Why the hell dont you put out everything you have for your fans to enjoy???? Come on!

Well, with the Lying Down video, in particular, which so many seem to keep asking about: if it's true that she shot the video on a "Mars-themed set," the video probably had special effects/visual effects to complete it. Plus it would be need to be edited together, etc. Since the album tanked so hard in the states after the first week, and the song Lying Down didn't even take off with the public - it was Imperfections that become a Top 10 hit - the record company probably didn't want to spend the money it would take to complete the video for a song that got no traction.

The song got as much if not more traction than Courage. The audio video on youtube has as much as the Imperfections music video and is among the most streamed on Spotify.

 

I have no idea why they didn't release the video but I doubt it's because the song didn't do well or because it needed special effects. I don't think the video was a special effects type video and the "mars set" thing came from a person working there and yet the guy didn't even know if it was for a music video. Seemed to me like he just used the word mars because it's what it looked like to him, not because that's what it was.

Her videos for this album were pretty simple, and the only effects used were practical. A play with lights and water (both used in the live shows and photoshoots), perhaps the LD video had fire elements which goes well with the red theme it had going (red set and Celine in a red dress).

 

It's a shame promotion fell flat because production-wise they did really good. There are so many little details and themes carried throughout.
