incognito Posted February 1, 2020 at 01:20 AM Posted February 1, 2020 at 01:20 AM If Celine was of the younger generation, she’d have the same number of views that her younger counterparts have. Why does nobody get this? Music while all inclusive, is generational as well. Times change. When I was young I wanted to listen to people maybe no more than 15 years older than me. I wanted to be able to identify with them. Quote
smw Posted February 1, 2020 at 01:27 AM Posted February 1, 2020 at 01:27 AM Guys look what I found! https://itunes.apple...1y09hGa91Yw-2OQ (you have to klick on the trailer) They did so many shoots! It looks like it's taken from a music video. I did the free 3 month trail so I could watch. She looks phenomenal in this video! She really took her time creating this album -- choosing songs that felt like true representations of who she is and where she's at. Insane that her most personal English album came in her 50s. When Rene passed away, Celine chose to rise up and be completely HERSELF for the first time in her life. Loved this video!! This is such a special time in her life and it's a very special time to be her fan. 1 Quote

scielle Posted February 1, 2020 at 05:22 AM Posted February 1, 2020 at 05:22 AM This video is waaaaaay better than Courage and Imperfections music video that is so generic and boring. I find it very strange that her music videos of Courage era are so lame when her commercials are fantastic (colors!). Beg to differ.Courage and Imperfections are the most thoughtful, interesting, meaningful, beautiful videos she's ever done. This is just cheesy, and, as some on here already said, downright uncomfortable to watch. The Bizet was a highlight. Too bad they had to superimpose voice over and ruin it. But hey, I’m glad we got something. 2 Quote
SlovakClark Posted February 1, 2020 at 05:24 AM Posted February 1, 2020 at 05:24 AM Hum OK streaming didn't exist at this time, but basically Bieber, Swift, Katy Perry's number are maybe even lower in comparison to what was doing Celine at the same age. Please question those same people when they will have Celine's age that's ridiculous. This. Many of us had a privilege to live through Titanic era and that was something that has never happened again since. I mean that song was literally requested on radios so much, at some points they had to play it every 20 minutes. One would say this era is even worse for a new artists because in order to know them you have to be on social media or YouTube, but that's just me being petty 😅 Quote http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/320x240q90/853/qwz9.jpg
SantiagoColorado Posted February 1, 2020 at 05:26 AM Posted February 1, 2020 at 05:26 AM Question- Does anyone think that maybe celine is not as confident in her voice as she used to be and maybe that's why shes not singing new songs from the album in her tour? Like when she sang "Loved me back to life" live on a few appearances and it was very pitchy - could it be that there is so much production and editing on the album that she doesnt feel she can recreate a good live version of the new songs? This is a genuine question- not a statement. But it did cross my mind. I know she also feels she needs to do her hits but there is nothing from the Courage album in a tour that is called Courage. So I'm baffled! What do u guys think? I think so. She can't even do FOMO. Quote
AdrienneM Posted February 1, 2020 at 09:35 AM Posted February 1, 2020 at 09:35 AM I think so. She can't even do FOMO. She can. Its just unfortunate that literally every time she sang the song live she was ill and not at her best. As for Vegas and Hyde Park she lipped the choruses, give it to her now to do and IMO she could pull it off zero problems 2 Quote

Ajax Posted February 1, 2020 at 12:27 PM Posted February 1, 2020 at 12:27 PM I have difficulties understanding how we can find this promo video uncomfortable while thinking that Courage and Imperfection are meaningful and thoughtful. I mean it looks like the same director did all those video. Similar production travelling, picture. More or less the same moves from Celine. At least they try to present her interview now in a small movie form. With amazing visuals and production. That is an amazing improvement. At least if it s just a teaser to something more. 5 Quote

Completely agree with you. The first time I saw Imperfections video I waited something to happen. That suddenly some colors burst. That the scene changed. Same with Courage. She’s just there. Almost the same since the beginning of the video until the very end. 1 Quote

Ncarbia Posted February 1, 2020 at 08:55 PM Posted February 1, 2020 at 08:55 PM 'Courage' by Celine Dion 12,000 / 556,000 WW She's doing good enough, with no promo at all I would've expected it to drop sooner. It's not great, but she's still selling 12/15k each week, almost three months after its release. Enviado desde mi SM-A305G mediante Tapatalk 3 Quote

Just like we did. I mean its great that the now generation sees Celine as a cool, iconic throwback and (thats about th extent of it to be fair) as did I growing up about people like Barbra, Tina and Aretha and Patti. I dont get why some people cant realise, Celine is still a post-prime artist, a legend yes but shes not at the top anymore, and to expect crazy numbers and crazy budgets for all sorts of media and tours and videos just isnt realistic 4 Quote
