ryba Posted January 30, 2020 at 06:27 PM Posted January 30, 2020 at 06:27 PM (edited) Why is it a shame? She released an album with 20 (or 21) brand new tracks, no covers, for the fans! She doesn’t care about giant numbers, or #1’s. She released that music for us. No other reason. And we’re the ones listening to it. So it has served its purpose.she is a professional singer signed at a record company. Of course she and Sony care about numbers (they must care, it’s their business). Numbers are an indicator of the success as a recording artist. And letting her quality album get off the charts due to poor promotion after a weak is a real shame. Moreover, if she released everything „just for the fans“ we would have already received the remaining 20+ songs from the recording sessions as well as her last three summer tours on DVD and the EUS video lol. It not just for the fans. It’s business! Edited January 30, 2020 at 06:32 PM by ryba 1 Quote

It not just for the fans. It’s business! It's kinda of funny how you think about music industry. You call it "business" to blame on Celine but disregard that this same business status explains a lot of what you complain about her. Yeah, it's a business. As a business EVERYTHING COSTS MONEY. An artist doesn't sit one day and decide to drop a song and that's it. They have to pay, A LOT. She can't just decide to release 40 songs just because you want. Who's gonna pay for it? That's why the artists have a budget, base on what they generate. Have you ever thought that Celine it's not a number one artist anymore? As so, her budget must be quite limited? It's a simple mathematic: you can't spend more then you earn. She probably expended most of the budget for the Courage era just to drop an album with 20 tracks, leaving her with a little amount of money to spend on promotion, videos and etc. Only if she pays with her own money. But it would be a stupid business move. Would you invest your money on something with almost no chance of return? Neither she. Albums don't sell anymore and she's never going to compete with the younger generation on the streams. Do you guys want to blame Celine for the lack of songs on tour, ok. But, please, let's not blame her for how the music industry works. Edited January 30, 2020 at 09:02 PM by guigafs15 3 Quote

jpatdeleon09 Posted January 31, 2020 at 10:33 AM Posted January 31, 2020 at 10:33 AM (edited) It’s just talking and doing some hand movements, dramatic movements. There’s no recording sessions. But she looks great there. FLAWLESS and she’s doing Opera on that set. Vocal warmup. She sounded amazing. And at the end they just showed her performance “Flying On My Own” in Las Vegas. Oh also at the beginning, “Lovers Never Die” instrumentals are playing in background. It’s very short. Only 7 mins Edited January 31, 2020 at 10:37 AM by jpatdeleon09 Quote

joaofilho Posted January 31, 2020 at 11:25 AM Posted January 31, 2020 at 11:25 AM The whole budget was this mini documentary and the video clips! They are modernizing, this should be some kind of test, we will see Celine on Netflix soon. Quote
ryba Posted January 31, 2020 at 11:29 AM Posted January 31, 2020 at 11:29 AM I believe that there will be a full documentary about the album and tour and this is just a short excerpt! 1 Quote

Unisono Posted January 31, 2020 at 12:01 PM Posted January 31, 2020 at 12:01 PM This trailer is really beautiful! There's elegance and peace. Beautiful colours and settings! Nothing exaggerated. It would be perfect for a music video. It reminds me of "if you asked me to" where we see celine posing for the cover of the album! Quote
Taking Chances Posted January 31, 2020 at 12:01 PM Posted January 31, 2020 at 12:01 PM So, it was nothing we haven't heard before. It was literally the same thing she repeats in every interview. How about those recording sessions? 5 Quote

Otherwise DSPs become a commodity, can only compete on price, drive down ARPUs (which are already getting dangerous unsustainable) and the industry melts down. Quote
jpatdeleon09 Posted January 31, 2020 at 12:19 PM Posted January 31, 2020 at 12:19 PM Actually, this is what i’m waiting for.. to have a céline dion movie/docu/concert on Apple Music. But it’s short but it’s ok. I will think of it as a test or a preparation for the netflix series as joaofilho said earlier Taylor Swift already released her new movie from netlfix called “Miss Americana” maybe for Céline ”Queen Québécois” Quote

Sure, I get it, but 7 minutes it's hardly anything, and there was nothing we hadn't heard before there. It's not like this will gain much interest from the general public. If they want to go for an exclusive thing, at least make it recording sessions, or a full documentary. Make it worth it. This, they could have posted on Twitter. 3 Quote

Otherwise it would be pure nonsense to just put that up months after the album was released. I think that it has sth to do with Valentines Day coming up and Humbertos post about PMLALS. And moreover I think that on the same set they shot the LND music video. 1 Quote
