I need someone to loves m like Celine loved René... And just like she sang in LTAL track # 16, I ask for that exact same thing

When I first heard the song, what really grabbed my attention was: "don't need to understand if God's got a plan", "it's out of our hands", "after midnight", "if you need me, I'll be in your memory" and "let's save this love before we go and hurt it". What kind of omen is this? I was like: is this about two people saying goodbye or about witch craft???

Sorry, I just don't see what you see at all.

"Omen" is an interesting choice of word.

And because a lyric includes the words "after midnight"... it's about witchcraft?

And even if it were (which again, I don't see whatsoever), that would be a problem?

Now I'm even more perplexed.

:wow:

I respect your opinion, but honestly I think you miss the mark on so many levels.

I sure hope so! I hope there’ll be some in-depth interviews so we can better understand her state of mind when she recorded these songs

So tonight Celine is nominated at the People choice awards for fashion star of the year. It would be amazing if she'd won but at least she got a nomination :)

Look, ultimately this is just a matter of taste, which you cannot rationalize or explain away. I was just trying to defend the few fans who said they didn’t like this or that song. If my comments offended someone in the process, I certainly apologize

The part “After Midnight, the stars in the sky this is the perfect goodbye”

I view it as just a way of saying the night sky and stars is the time she looks back on the end of a relationship, be it a death she’s mourning (like probably how Celine views it) or anyone else listening may view it as a failed relationship... I like that the song leaves it open to the listener and whatever transcended in their particular life.

Mine too! But never heard it live except som bootleg video (I actually think it's MUCH better than the studio track - maybe coz of all the reverb?). I can only imagine how amazing it must have been hearing it live!

Was magical to hear it in concert. I'm so thankful she did that. Still one of my all-time favorite Celine songs. It's just so beautiful.

Peace and love to all.

Damn! Someone posted a clip of The Chase on her facebook group and I accidentally clicked and heard it!

Am I no longer a Proud Waiter now??

Same happened to me and Change Your Mind. I was going through Instagram stories and thought what is this song and then I realised what it was and swiftly moved on. Just a few more days is what I keep telling myself.

I was like: "This title with a photo. Is it an official clip? A play button? Is it clickable or a screenshot? Oops I clicked! New music! Should I turn it off? Well I've listened this far. Wonder how long this goes on? Oh ok it was a snippet" then "WHAT HAAAVE I DOOONEE!!"

😂

One of the most stupidest moments of my life. A bit selfdestructive.

Weeellll... oh God I dare not. Not after all these rave reviews.

The soundquality of the snippet was SUPERBAD. Like an old radio... almost only treble.

I thought when I realised it was the real deal and thought if I should turnnit off or not: "I must hear some seconds more of what this is to get some sort of perception and see what the fuss is about." Then I thougt "This doesn' sound like anything really knew". It sounded a bit like some sort of midtempo light rock song from OH. Almost similar to Faith. I have nothing against Faith. But I thought this sounded old, cheap and booring. Hope it was just the lousy quality though and that it also sounds better in full!

I still have hope for this album since so many have spoken so highly of it.

Nope. You spoiled all the fun now :giggle:

Now you have to tell us what you thought.

Peace and love to all.

I just want to say that I’m glad that Celine is branching out and is exploring new territory, I certainly want her to remain successful and most importantly fulfill her artistic desires.

That being said, Perfect Goodbye is ABSOLUTELY the worst song of her repertoire. I may be in the minority on this one but from what I can see I’m far from being alone on it too. The whole song is ABSOLUTELY designed to be a shock to the fans on purpose. It does not represent artistic growth for me in any way. I listen to Pink, Avril Lavigne and Lil Wayne on occasion. These people can make PG look like Sunday church choir. But I know what to expect when I buy their music, that means I’m in a certain mood. On the flip side, I listen to Celine when I need a safe haven, to brighten up my day, to cancel out any stress that was imposed on me throughout the day. So when after a long wait and lots of false hope from the first four tracks I turn on the CD and I hear THIS!! You have to understand, this is highly upsetting to a lot of people. Again by no means do I want to restrict her artistic aspirations (especially if she executive produced the whole thing). However as much as y’all will disagree with me, Celine has a responsibility to maintain her brand. The whole “I don’t have to prove anything anymore and just do this for fun” idea is just small talk and I’m not buying it for a second. If not, then why sing any old hits during the tour at all?? This to me feels like deliberate and gross disregard for the legacy she and Rene worked so hard to build.

Was trying to keep it short and failed miserably lol. Anyway my point is, you can evolve as an artist without stepping on the core fan base who’s been there for you for decades. If you like the song so much, by all means sing it in the shower or maybe release it as one-off. But having it as an album closer just makes me want to throw up.

On a positive note, I finally brought myself to listen to all the songs over again and a few did stand out in a good way. Will be happy to share my view once the album is out, if the mods don’t kick me out by then LOL

Yes, I still consider myself as waiting. What I heard didn't fully register and I can't remember what the melody or lyrics from the 5 seconds I heard were like.

That is correct. I didn't say Lil Wayne was bubbly and cheerful. I'm just saying if I'm in a mood for a strong drink I'm gonna go with Tequila. But when I want a milk shake I don't expect to get drunk

Actually when I was in Rome, I did get drunk off of a milk shake. It was hilarious But I digress

Even though I don't love every song on every album, one of my favorite things about Celine (and all my other favorite artists) is that each has a very prolific and diverse body of work. That way I can get the voice and personality I love on a wide range of emotions and song styles and can choose whether it's a "tequila" or a "milkshake" I'm in the mood to have.

It's also why many of Celine's fans, even ones who don't fully understand French, really appreciate her French catalog and the contrast it offers in both tone and style to her English one.

An artist can reach a much wider fanbase and be appreciated by many more types of people if their work isn't just one-dimensional.

I thought people were overwhelmingly in love with Perfect Goodbye, lol. I only saw like one or two recent comments condemning it. Everyone else was like "This is amaaazing!"

Also I think she says the "S" word a good bit in interviews... she did it when she was talking about doing My Heart Will Go On the first time I think in a pre-Courage interview?

Will be happy to. And thank you for actually taking the time to read my comments by the way 👍

Obviously the lyrics are very abstract and may be interpreted in many different ways. When I first heard the song, what really grabbed my attention was: “don’t need to understand if God’s got a plan”, “it’s out of our hands”, “after midnight”, “if you need me, I’ll be in your memory” and “let’s save this love before we go and hurt it”. What kind of omen is this? I was like: is this about two people saying goodbye or about witch craft??? The way she sings it only adds to the agony, very loud and deep and generic, rather than soft and emotional. The ghostly wind at the end... I mean the whole this is just messed up

Again, I RESPECT individual opinions, all I’m doing is sharing mine. After all wouldn’t it be boring to see 50 comments and they’re all the same?

I was trying to understand your point of view seriously and carefully, until I read the word witch craft.

Perfect Goodbye sounds sad but gave me positive message, two adults separate in a positive way because they don’t want to hurt each other. The melody is so beautiful and haunting.

I didn't have much time and I'm not a professional translator :) So I focused on translating "the spirit" of this article, pushing the rest to the background.

I repeat that I have never seen such a text in the Polish press before. The author is not a music journalist, so this article refers first to who Céline is as a human being. In general, I was surprised in several places, for example the author points to significant benefits for her musical career, resulting from her fascination with fashion, which I personally did not notice before.

Information about the autor:

She (Zofia Fabjanowska-Micyk, born in 1980) is "head of the department of culture" of this magazine. Her texts were published by many newspapers known in Poland, also in "National Geographic: Traveler", she is also a co-author of at least one book.

"THE HIGHEST BID GAME"

You can not deny her vigor/momentum.

And it's not just about stage costumes, setting of concerts or her weakness for Haute-Couture clothes.

Céline Dion, with a record number of albums sold, has only a handful of competitors in the music industry. Her life has never spared her strong impressions, including the most tragic ones. She proved that when needed, she has the courage to step back into the shadows, but she can also come back in style.

====

Friday, July 5, 2019. Dusk falls, and almost the entire Hyde Park, with its 150 hectares of area, rumbles from the bass. Last concert on the summer stage is coming to an end. Céline Dion is in a canary yellow dress, the fourth creation of the evening, after a fancy sapphire gin with large buffs, a green dress and an extravagant red ink sequin suit. As a farewell, Céline sings a cover of John Lenoan's hit "Imagine", bows and disappears behind the scenes. There are shouts from the audience: "We love you Céline!", someone is crying with emotion. The concert staff start directing everyone to leave. The view is amazing, because the spreading audience - 70,000 people - floods this part of London in almost one moment. Sidewalks are not able to accommodate such a crowd, columns of people occupy part of the road. Buses and cars try to avoid them, traffic jams begin to form. Rickshaw drivers have noticed the opportunity to earn and luring people with loudly played Dion hits (rickshaws, illuminated by disco lights, with speakers installed are recently a tourist hit in London). And even without it, the whole street shouts the words of her songs. You can see that people missed her. The only concert this year in Europe is clearly not enough. After all, we're talking about an artist who, with a record number of over 200 million albums sold, can be compared only with such music giants as The Beatels, Abba, Queen, Michael Jackson or Madonna. That July evening in Hyde Park, nobody knows what Dion is up to. How long will her fans have to wait until she reappears on this side of the ocean again.

GOODBYE VEGAS

Some time later, we got to know the release date of the new album and further plans for the tour. Céline Dion announced that she is extending the tour and will be on the road for the next year. After North America she will tour Europe. Let the four concerts in Paris, three in Amsterdam, two in London and Glasgow and, among others, also in May in Poland, in Łódź and Kraków, testify to the scale of the intensity of this undertaking.

For Dion it is also the beginning of something new, and the closing of an important chapter of her life. She finished her own so-called Las Vegas residence. Her contract with Caesars Palace, a luxury hotel and casino in one, is said to be the most expensive contract that has been signed in the history of music.

The adventure in Vegas began for Dion 16 years ago. Especially for the artist the Colosseum was built, a Roman-style musical theater (or rather very Vegas style) for 4,000 seats, and her performances there was not inferior to outdoor concerts. Dion performed in the Colosseum well over a thousand such concerts for 4.5 million people, earning about 0.5 million dollars for each. This unimaginable success meant that many others decided to do the same, including Elton John, Cher, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Bruno Mars and Britney Spears.

On June 8 this year, during the final concert of her contract, usually very emotional Dion, had tears in her eyes, but she did not cry. The whole team/crew and her three sonson appears on stage, and behind them, on the screen, was a black and white photo of Céline with her late husband. When René Angélil was alive, he had his favorite place at her concerts in the Colosseum, in the back, next to the sound engineers, in a chair behind the console, which after his death was left empty as a sign of memory of him.

LEAVE THE TITANIC ALONE (in this case it is also a reference to the hit of one of the best Polish rock bands: Lady Pank)

Dion's late husband is remembered as an excellent agent, a master of strategy, but these 16 years ago, when the news of the Vegas contract reached the media, the industry thought he was crazy. What agent at high point in the career of his star will takes her to a place that perhaps offers the highest rates, but has a not so good reputation at that time. To a place associated more with a retirement in the style of Sinatra, Liberace or with Elvis and this tragic chapter of his career when sick, addicted and with overweight, Presley was on the Vegas stage a caricature of himself.

Funny today are all irony and catastrophic comments of people from show business, that if Céline actually "goes out with performances in the desert" then "this Titanic will definitely sink". Dion has not only moved out there without any harm to her image, but also Vegas - the city of casinos - has improved its image thanks to her. Not to mention, for example, 7,000 new jobs, without which her "concert machine" would not work.

IF WE'RE TALKING ABOUT GAMBLING

In order to understand Céline Dion's choices and career path, we must go back to the 90s. When everything, whatever she touches, turns into gold. From a song recorded for a Disney fairy tale ("Beauty and the Beast" sung along with Peablo Bryson); through hits such as "The Power of Love"; "Because You Loved Me", "Pour que tu m'aimes encore"; up to "My Heart Will Go On" from the Titanic.

Dion was at the peak of her career. In the race for popularity in POP music, only centimeters separated her from Madonna, who is older than her by a decade. And suddenly she told the world that she would take a break. And in 1999 she gave the famous interview to Barbara Walters, a legend of American television, known for her insight and ruthlessness (such us in the famous interview with Monika Lewinsky, which ultimately plunged President Clinton).

Walters visited Dion on her Florida property. "Marble Palace", as she quite aptly called this house during the interview (sitting on a chair in the style of Louis XVI). Céline told her, among other things, about the need for a break, the dream of a child, as well as with enthusiasm and hope that she was over thirty: "I am young enough to start again, and mature enough not to feel stupid - [in a sense of life wisdom] "It's a fantastic time." A few weeks later, even before the material was edited and released on air, her husband was diagnosed with throat cancer. They also had to fight for a child. Céline became pregnant in Vitro.

She desperately needed something that in show business, paradoxically just when you are at the very top, is practically impossible. A permanent place of work and a predictable graphic, read: stability for a family with a small child and with experience of fighting a serious illness.

Although a keen observer would also see another one here. In another interview with Barbara Walters in 2002 (after René 's first fight with cancer and just before starting her residency in Vegas), Dion agreed to answer a question of rumors about her husband's weakness in poker and blackjack.

René himself did not hide it. In addition to casino betting, he participated in poker tournaments and his blackjack win system apparently repaired budget of Céline and René more than once when her career was just growing. There are legends about how much, already living in Vegas, he could lose or how much he could win in one evening.

In that conversation with Walters, Céline showed diplomacy as well as good reflexes. Thus, answering a journalist's question about her husband's addiction to gambling: "Of course, that René is a gambler [...] When I was 12, he pawned his own home so I could release my first album. And since we're talking about gambling, it was probably the highest stake we've ever played."

ZERO RISK

A shy 12-year-old girl - with jet-black hair and coal-like eyes - appeared in the office of the renowned Canadian music agent René Angélil and led him to tears by performing a song. And he risks his own property-home so that the world hears Céline's voice. In fact, this story was more complicated. His former friend admits to the loan for the first album in an unauthorized biography of René Angélil. And Dion already had an agent, but not determined enough. He thought that for 12-year-old the best place was in school, not a stage.

As for René. At the time when he decided to take care of Céline's career (it was 1980), he was 39 years old, with a short music career (he was the vocalist of "Les Baronets" - the boy band popular in Francophone Canada in the 60s) and with a lot of experience as an agent of musical stars . With successes, but also with a painful failure on the account, because one of the singers ended their cooperation in a rather unceremonious way. When he met Céline, he felt lost. He was in debt and disappointed so much that he considered leaving the profession. But he thought that this 12-year-old girl with a brilliant voice was reason enough to take the risk again. Although here the risk of another failure seemed to him smaller. His previous protegee/client gave up his guardianship because she fell in love. His second wife was a singer and when they got married she ended her career. Celine had the advantage of being a child - easy to shape, absorbent. So, according to him, conflict of feelings was out of the question.

ALMOST ROYAL COUPLE

Life writes the most strangest scenarios, although this one was not so strange. Céline grew up with René. In the meantime, his second marriage broke up. In 1986, for some time, there was no hearing about Dion, and when she returns, it becomes clear that she is no longer a child. A brilliant image move of her agent, who silenced her career for a moment, hired stylists and paid for the orthodontist (to which we will return later), and above all he made sure that French-speaking Céline learned English. With a fashionable hairstyle, in bolder dresses and too large (from today's perspective) jackets she came back not as a childish but an adult star.

The student-master arrangement was over. They were two people who stayed together almost constantly and had common goals, as well as a similar disposition. They both earned workaholic labels. Therefore, if today Céline, invited to the popular program of the British comedian James Corden says: "It's nice that we managed to meet, because it's my only vacation day of the year", the strength of this joke is that it's quite close to the truth.

In one of the interviews, Dion mentions that her mother, who accompanied them on their concert tours to their daughter's adulthood, saw what was coming. She convinced Céline that she should not be associated with an elderly man who had already been married twice. "It was so strong [the feeling] - said the star not so long ago in "Access Hollywood "- that finally all my family loved him too." Those who knew them closer confirm that her fascination with René was visible at first glance.

Both of them claimed that their relationship began in 1988 (when she was 20), just after Dion won in Eurovision, in which, by coincidence, she represented Switzerland. For some time they did not speak officially about what was happening between them. Then their wedding in 1994 at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal was broadcast on Canadian television. Pomp, a few meters long tren, cameras everywhere. Some might have thought that Canada had its royal pair.

Their older son was born in 2001. The twins were born - also thanks to in vitro - nine years later, when Dion was 42 years old. Until her husband's death in January 2016 (when Angélil lost his second fight against throat cancer), they were considered to be one of the more successful and loveable marriages in show business. Certainly, it is thanks to Dion. In interviews, she always spoke about her husband with impressive loyalty and devotion, she was not ashamed to show him affection in public.

Also significant are her statements after his death, which, if combined with each other, clearly testify to what she must face today. For example, in one of the interviews the artist answers the question of whether she had said goodbye to him. She says yes, in a way it was. That evening her concert lasted until late at night and when she came back she didn't want to wake him up. But before the performance they talked, and then he sent her an SMS: "I love you" and she wrote back to him. And then in the morning he was dead. Meanwhile, in another conversation, casually, but with each word more and more moved Céline says that she is trying hard not to blame herself, that René did not die in her arms.

IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME?

The phenomenon of her popularity is not based only on her music. Dion has unquestionable ability to make people really like her. Or maybe: she is simply nice. You can find on the internet a video filmed with a cell phone from one of her concerts, during which a drunk woman (luckily a fan) uninvited entered the stage. The woman hugs and then with all her weight hangs on a much lighter Dion. Céline stops bodyguards from intervening, hugs her fan and helps to lead her backstage, after which she doesn't forget about bodyguards and thank them for their work.

On a daily basis, she avoids political statements, it is not known exactly on which side she places her sympathies (apparently even her relationship with Clinton does not give certainty in this matter). She caused more serious political controversy only once, in 1990, when she refused to accept the Canadian Felix statuette for the best "English-speaking singer", after releasing an album with all songs in English. She said then: "My audience understands that I am not an English-speaking artist. I am proud to be "Québécoise". It is a sensitive issue of national identity that can still divide the inhabitants of the Franconian province of Quebec and the rest of the country because some Quebec citizens have always strived for autonomy. It is different with Dion. On the one hand, she emphasizes her roots, on the other - she feels as a citizen of the whole country, uniting Canadian fans regardless of the language and values they adhere to.

Openly supports LGBT. The fact that she is an inspiration for many drag queens with her stage style is a source of pride for her. One of her younger sons she named Nelson in honor of Nelson Mandela, whom she once visited with her husband. Besides, we don't know much. It's probably because Dion has her media strategies and habits. In interviews she often balances between pathos and humor, it is difficult to tell what she really thinks about many things. Despite this, or maybe that's why she is winning the hearts of people en masse. Her private story is also significant here. Céline does not exaggerate when she tells how she was the youngest of 14 siblings, how they slept several people in one bed, and the kids at school laughed at her thin, and cruelly called her "Canin Dion" because of her "canine fangs".

She managed to straighten her teeth, but many still criticizes her of being too skinny. Sometimes she tries to explain, sometimes she prefers to fool around ("My figure?! Is there something wrong?!"). And it's really hard not to love her, watching such interviews as the one given right after she became the face of the L'Oreal Paris brand: "Why don't you paint your lips with dark lipsticks?" - The journalist wants to know - "You know" - Dion replies with a note of resignation - "because my lips are ..."- not being able to find the right word, she begins to sing: "They are only in my heart and will remain there forever". Then he adds with a smile: "But I have eyes and it's great that I can underline them".

At a time when many famous people denied using botox, Dion declared that sees nothing wrong with that. Everything for people. But now she says that she is afraid that one treatment entails another, that it can be unhealthy and addictive. And today you can see with your naked eye that the 51-year-old artist has chosen a different path. By the way, she exposes the duplicity of portals and tabloids, as well as those who write offensive posts about her, who at the same time fiercely follow and point out plastic surgery to famous people, and at the same time are unable to accept someone who does not fill their lips, does not enlarge their breasts and does not stretch the skin.

COURAGEOUSLY

After René's death, the media watched her mourning closely. In the air hangs the question in which direction will her career go without half of a once functioning tandem. She called the new album and concert tour "Courage". She thinks that the word best suits the circumstances she is in now. This is the first English-language (and therefore addressed to the largest possible audience) album recorded without René. And the first such a long tour without him.

It might seem that she was suddenly thrown into deep water, but this is not entirely true. Increasingly, piece by piece, from her speech emerges a picture of what her reality has been like over the past few years. Feeding René for three years only through the tube - chemistry, radiology, operations. It is very likely that the story of Dion's emancipation lasts longer than you might think.

Some of its effects can already be seen. Like saying goodbye to the Vegas scene. The fact that for some time she has been associated with haute couture fashion and increasingly extravagant projects can be considered as a new hobby, but when you think about it more deeply, it's also an excellent marketing move that guarantees reaching people who would otherwise be difficult to reach.

In the era of social media and photo scrolling, Céline's photos in the original stylizations from the Paris Fashion Week or the opening of MET Gala reach users for whom what happened in music in the 90s or even the early 2000s is a distant past. Because of "Courage" she now gives many interviews, while journalists ask over and over if she is dating someone. And she always tells them the same, that she is not ready yet.

Her calendar up to September next year is filled with concerts. And what does Céline plan after the tour? Near Las Vegas, she still has a home where her sons grow up. But lately, in front of the camera, she talked with Canadian Tom Power about a longer stay in the homeland with her sons, admiring: "It is wonderful to see how great they feel in the place where I grew up and where they stayed so rarely. Great to see how closely they are with their uncles and grandmothers. [...] this is my heritage that I can give them. "

And some could already bet how certain it is that in a next chapter in her life Céline Dion will return to Canada.

I think it's actually about Celine saying goodbye to Rene ... like it's written for her based on what actually happened when Rene died.

It was late at night and she got home, he had texted her goodnight earlier and she wanted to go in and kiss him goodnight but he was sleeping, and then the next day he was gone. It sounds sad, but she said something like it was the perfect way to go because of how peaceful it was. So it's almost like a dramatization of that story in a way.

Oh no! I hope I didn’t offend anyone...

Seriously some of the most preposterous posts I’ve ever seen on this forum. Grow up. It’s far from profane.

Same happened to me and Change Your Mind. I was going through Instagram stories and thought what is this song and then I realised what it was and swiftly moved on. Just a few more days is what I keep telling myself.

I just want to say that I'm glad that Celine is branching out and is exploring new territory, I certainly want her to remain successful and most importantly fulfill her artistic desires.

That being said, Perfect Goodbye is ABSOLUTELY the worst song of her repertoire. I may be in the minority on this one but from what I can see I'm far from being alone on it too. The whole song is ABSOLUTELY designed to be a shock to the fans on purpose. It does not represent artistic growth for me in any way. I listen to Pink, Avril Lavigne and Lil Wayne on occasion. These people can make PG look like Sunday church choir. But I know what to expect when I buy their music, that means I'm in a certain mood. However as much as y'all will disagree with me, Celine has a responsibility to maintain her brand. The whole "I don't have to prove anything anymore and just do this for fun" idea is just small talk and I'm not buying it for a second. If not, then why sing any old hits during the tour at all?? This to me feels like deliberate and gross disregard for the legacy she and Rene worked so hard to build.

Was trying to keep it short and failed miserably lol. Anyway my point is, you can evolve as an artist without stepping on the core fan base who's been there for you for decades. If you like the song so much, by all means sing it in the shower or maybe release it as one-off. But having it as an album closer just makes me want to throw up.

On a positive note, I finally brought myself to listen to all the songs over again and a few did stand out in a good way. Will be happy to share my view once the album is out, if the mods don't kick me out by then LOL

We're all adults no? What's so offensive about the word that makes it the worst song of her repertoire? You're saying that her saying the word is somehow a slap to her core fanbase and some kind of insult, you realise she isn't swearing AT US?? It's just another way of expressing oneself :)

But I will respect your opinion, after all differences make this forum more interesting

So I ordered the album on Amazon.de and it's supposed to arrive on release date, but I really hope that I won't have to wait until Saturday, because with Amazon you never know. Sometimes they are late. What I like about Amazon is that you also get the digital version for download.

It is just a different taste... I'm definitely in love on perfect goodbye and to me this is Celine version of Beyonce halo, Kelly Clackson already gone

I really love this song

Okay so after listening to the album for some times now my final review.

Flying on my own: Nice BOP but i don't feel it belongs on this album. Nice summer vibe this album has a completely different vibe to it. 7/10

Lovers never die: This song is growing on me the more i listen to it. Still not one of my favorites on this album though. Sound like soundtrack of 50 shades of grey or James Bond indeed. 7.5/10

Falling in love again: This song is the one that grew most for me this week beautiful lyrics ballad and melody. Nice simple recording. 8/10

Lying Down: Love this song. Most reminiscent of a Celine dion bombastic ballad. Love the vocals and the recording orchestration. 9/10

Courage: Beautiful ballad the most heartfelt one for me on this album, maybe because you can relate to it seen everybody knows its about Rene. The vocals were beautifully registered and the melody and orchestration is gorgeous. For me one of the best recorded songs on the album. Powerful and think this one will end up to be a classic Celine track. 10/10

Imperfections: Nice BOP. Love the way they made her sound more current, for me its a feel good song love the positive vibe it gives and shows a different side of Celine. Think it is one of the songs with the most radio appeal. I understand why they, might have chosen this one to put out as first single. Gives a nice message and with a nice vibe. It is a repetitive song but for me that does not matter when you have a nice beat to the song 8/10

Change my Mind: I love that when the song comes in it sounds immediately something different. This is one of my favorite songs on this album. Got a soulful vibe and powerful vocals. Really love the orchestration and backing vocals from LP. It's a vibe I have not yet heard from Celine. And that note at the end made me just go into extasy. 10/10

Say yes: Very moody song for a rainy afternoon maybe or Sunday mornings laying in bed, I like this song a lot. It has such a chill vibe and soft vocals. I would even describe it as a bit of a sexy song the way the vocals are whispered. I love that it has a different vibe than any other song on this album but still coherent to the album. 8/10

Nobody's Watching: First i did not like this song and I love make you happy. I still do not think it compares to make you happy love that song a bit more. But I must say it is growing on me. That is quite a thing with this album its really a grower. Did think she executed this song well. 7.5/10

The Chase: This song is one of the popular ones that I'm still not completely convinced. Honestly when I first heard it the first verse I thought this was going to be one of my favorites. The chorus is a bit of a let down for me misses a bit more bass or oomph in the chorus. So for me it is one of the songs that has more potential but falls a bit flat for me. Although the lyrics and melody are nice. 7/10

For the lover that i loved: I like the song itself but production wise and vocals are not my favorite bit of a Cher articulation and sound bit of frog singing as they call it. But song and melody very beautiful. 6/10

Baby: Love the melody and the beat of this song. I wished they had articulated a bit more in the chorus or that the chorus was a bit bigger (not as much repetitive, but love the overall vibe and upbeat of the song. But overall nice song for the car hehe. 7.5/10

I will be stronger: Beautiful soulful song and lyrics. Chorus is also beautiful just not really connecting with this one. But the vocal takes are good. 7/10

How did you get here: Love this one there is one part in the bridge that is a bit odd for me. But love this song the choirs

come in perfectly love the soulful vibe of this song.. I was waiting for Celine to release something soulful again like call the man ish. This sound like a modern throwback. Love the lyrics the melody.. The brass in this exceptional.. Production great. I could listen to this every day 10/10

Look At Us now: I think this might be my favorite song from the album. Articulation and production is amazing. The choir comes in again at the perfect moment, we get to hear different colors of her voice in one song. I really hope she does this one live on the tour. It think it can be a real moment. 10/10 Love the lyrics the vocals.

Perfect goodbye: Love the organs in this it gives it kind of a haunted feeling. The chorus is everything. Piano sounds a bit like Ryan tedder (apologize). Love the song the dynamics this one grew on me a lot. When she modulates to higher chorus perfect. Also very moody song love it, uses the cher voice a bit again here but it is not as prominent as the for all the lovers that i lost. 9/10

Best of all: Same when song opens with soulful vibe Sunday morning vibe. I though was gonna be one of my favorites, but once the chorus kicks in it sounds like a cheesy 90 backstreet boys song. So that kinda ruins it for me production could have been a bit different around the chorus. Second verse starts a bit better but pity about chorus. 6/10

Heart of Glass: This one is growing on me still. It has something very special, sound like a soundtrack song. But i cant put my hand on what it is that is missing for me but liking it a lot more.In the bridge i Love what they did there 7.5/10

Boundaries: Beautiful ballad, this is my second favorite ballad on this album. Again vocals and orchestration are exceptionally done. Stephan moccio should maybe produce more songs for her. 9/10

The Hard Way: I love the lyrics and love the melody of this song. I do feel like if they recorded the song a half step lower than it would be better. Than this would be one of my favorite songs. Especially when the choir comes in. For me i dont even recognize what she sings in the highest parts of the chorus. 8/10

Overal most cohesive album from her in years, maybe ever. I like that she is experimenting but still finding things that do fit her and her voice. November release for this album is perfect. The mood fits it better that had this be released in spring time or summer. So cuddos to her team. Actually type of songs are very important to the period it gets released cause if they had released this like spring maybe will not get a lot of airplay nor streams due to the gloomier type of mood the album has. But one of the better albums in my opinion she has released.
