Anyone has lyrics for Baby. I articulation pronunciation in this song is really bad. I can not determine what is being said in the chorus. I played some of the songs for my wife and she is not a big fan but she saying that there are a few songs that she cannot decifer what celine is singing

It is not just streaming. Many cd shops gone bust and physical cds are only available if you order them online. Even walmart and bestbuy no longer sell cd in stores and celine traditionally is not strong in digital download and streaming. So really we have to rely on audience claim the cd bundle from ticket. Also, that is given the audience is internet savy enough to proceed, or the audience does not forget to redeem or the audience just could not bother. Lol too many factors on play...argggggg

 

Celine has never done a tour bundle before to the best of my knowledge, so we have no way of knowing what the redemption rate will be. Its possible that she'll get a significantly higher percentage because of the assumed quality of the product by casual fans. For example, lots of people might buy tickets to a Pink show just to have the concert experience, but might not be as motivated to redeem the album because they assume it won't be worth the effort.

I really like how certain songs are liked by some and hated by others. I havn't listen to the album yet 'cause I'll wait 'til the 15th but with all these positive reviews my excitement goes even higher and I can't wait to finally listen to all these songs. And that we'll get actually 21 new songs, including the japan bonus track "soul" all in all, baffles me. Remember when we all discussed about that our highest hopes are what? Something like 12 tracks (maybe 16 but then including you`re the voice, ashes, recovering etc.) haha Though I wouldn't mind ashes on the album 'cause it really fits the concept of the album in my opinion. And the different opinions about "lovers never die" are interesting, someone compared it with "love is all we need" which would be great 'cause it's one of my very favorits on OH. If critics are on board then maybe the album may have some legs despite the lack of radio support (besides AC).

If we take the average arena size of the tour with Celines set up (i assume around 12-13,000) and multiply that by all the dates shes doing (71 i think?) then thats 887,500 tickets, if 20% of that comes through, we’re looking at 177,500 based off of a statistic, imo, remove about 40,000 from that for those who ordered more than 1 ticket, ans thats 137,500, add on another 40-50,000 she sold without tour bundle (if Mariah can do it, Celine definitely can) then id guess ~~180,000

IMO, they want people to buy the Deluxe Edition, because it contains awesome additional tracks for the same price and they want them to be aware of them, and the Standard version was released to make collectors and hardcore fans to buy both versions. Would that be in line with today’s music companies’ strategies?

The price for the Standard and the Deluxe Edition is equal. I wonder why the Deluxe is not more expensive. What are your thoughts?

 

IMO, they want people to buy the Deluxe Edition, because it contains awesome additional tracks for the same price and they want them to be aware of them, and the Standard version was released to make collectors and hardcore fans to buy both versions. Would that be in line with today’s music companies’ strategies?

 

Physical at retailers I have seen have it at 12 dollars for normal and 16 for deluxe.

 

iTunes also has it at 13.99 Standard and 16.99 deluxe.

I don’t know with Amazon, i only tried Spotify and Apple Music and AM has the better sound quality. More richer and more bass. It’s like listening to SACD, you hear more instruments

Well on Amazon France the deluxe edition is 2 euros more expensive.

In Poland standard Version costs 42 PLN and Deluxe 70 PLN.

Was it Spotify Premium? You may also have to adjust the compression settings on Spotify. By default I think Spotify lowers quality unless you change settings. Edited November 10, 2019 at 10:28 AM by zeopower6

Yup, spotify premium. I noticed it has more highs (treble) than lows (bass).. in short, bright sound while on apple music warmer sound

 

You should compare same song and you’ll noticed the difference in sound quality

I’m sure I read that somewhere but can’t quite remember. If so, I may now also pre-order the standard version as I normally always end up with all versions anyway, including Japanese import etc for collector purposes. However, this time I had only ordered the deluxe as I know longer have a cd player and will just be streaming it when it’s released but may prefer the booklet to the poster in all honesty.

I think it might be a poster in all editions which is a bit sad since probably it won't include lyrics, just credits and photos, but who knows. I've only pre-ordered the Japanese deluxe edition at the moment and will be streaming on Apple Music on release date. Japanese editions usually come with separate booklets in Japanese and English and contain all the lyrics to the songs, so hopefully this time it will be the same.

Do we think this album has the potential to commercially scale the heights that only Adele has done recently and perhaps surpass? Do we think there is a potential explosive synergy coming our way fusing her iconic status and this beautifully crafted, personal album...

I do not see that happening due to lack of airplay and hit singles. Also Celine is 51 years old. But I think we are definitely looking at one of the best selling albums of 2019.

That’s what I’ve been saying, first time in a long time probably since (ANDHC) where I don’t have a favorite song from the 20 songs. Everyday I listen, I like one better. “Falling In Love Again” is my favorite today, yesterday it was “For The Lover I Lost” and the day before that “The Chase”

Etc. I haven’t enjoyed new music from Celine like that in probably 15 years!

it's true that many people here not buying anymore physical copies

but it's nice to know that we can support Celine by doing so.

I still can't find any information on that online, just unbelievable.

 

Having the Tour-bundle, standard and deluxe edition and seeing how well the album does on Amazon

chances are high Celine will have #1 album on Billboard.

 

I want to hope that at least this time, since she will come over here during next year

major important radio/tv will review her album.

I forgot that it had to be redeemed! It should had been sent automatically. But I guess those are the rules.

 

With that in mind she should has promoted it more in the concert (yet another reason for it!) performing more new songs and pushing for people to remember to redeem it....

 

 

 

Well, if you multiply the number of US dates by 15,000 (average arena size) that works out to about 800,000. Now let's estimate that 2/3 of those tickets have already been sold, and that 30% redeemed the album. That's 200,000 physical copies sold through the tour bundle. So I would estimate first week sales of 250k.

As much as I want a new single to be released and promoted, I think the wiser choice is to promote Imperfections.

 

The song has proven us to be a grower, not only on radio but with ourselves. I think now it's one of the best songs on the album and probably the most modern.

 

Who knows what a couple of tv performances would do for this song!

I just read. For streaming, 1250 is counted as 1 album unit, if it is a paid service. But free streaming i.e with ads in spotify, it will take 3750 streams to count as 1. Luckily i paid for the service. Going to stream all night long!.
