Very true, let them hold onto songs, if she doesn’t release another album after this for like 5-6 years hopefully they saved a few strong tracks to release as singles in the next couple years. I’m also glad she didn’t do any duets for this album, but hope she’ll record a big duet and release it as well in the upcoming future. Quote
ryba Posted November 9, 2019 at 05:36 PM Posted November 9, 2019 at 05:36 PM (edited) I really wonder how people carelessly write in the official Team Celine Facebook group to demand PMLALS to be released. It just annoys her team, and will work against us fans, because they might enhance the confidential regulations and in future no producers will post any snippets on social media anymore. Chill, it will come one day! Exactly! It's time to enjoy the new album. And, if the song PMLALS is as good as it sounds it would be a mistake to release it as a mere bonus in one country (Japan). It would soon be forgotten because only the big fans would know of its existence.I believe PMLALS was kept for an upcoming project. 5 Quote My Webpage >>> TRIBUTE TO CELINE DION

Popular Post smw Posted November 9, 2019 at 07:59 PM Popular Post Posted November 9, 2019 at 07:59 PM This new album has taught me that I had no clue what I really wanted from Celine. I always thought that I wanted her to work with producers like David Foster who would bring out perfection in Celine. Soaring vocals. Fluid tone. No strange pronunciation / diction issues. But Celine's been there / done that / shattered ceilings / broken records and proven to the world over & over that she's more than capable of perfection. We've also seen that she is STILL capable of sounding like her iconic self. Just listen to many of the performances of The Prayer on the Courage tour, for instance. But with this album, we got something different. Now Celine's purposefully shining light on her imperfections and that makes this album... Perfect. Celine is clearly at the center of this album. The song choices. The delivery / interpretation. Her vocals are all so honest -- but still with hints of classic Celine style and mind blowing moments. Before, with her past English albums, it was a more manufactured image / sound. And I always luuuuuurved how she was able to sound so darn crystalline and powerful. But this album is personal. Raw. Real. It's completely her. We've never had that before and how lucky are we to have it now? This album is as Celine Dion as it gets.I'm proud of her her. I'm happy for us. And I hope that general fans, who perhaps haven't bought a Celine album since A New Day Has Come or earlier, will find Celine again with this beautiful, personal new album. People understand that Celine's been through a lot of pain over the past few years, so they'll know the delivery of these songs is coming from an honest place. I understand why the Courage tour is designed the way it is -- to please the masses. But perhaps Celine can do a One Night Only concert of her new songs. Like Annie Lennox did a few years ago with her album Nostalgia. That way, we'll always have at least one live performance of each new song. 13 Quote

Popular Post Frankiboy Posted November 9, 2019 at 08:40 PM Popular Post Posted November 9, 2019 at 08:40 PM I have always followed and admired Céline's career. Since these beginnings in English with 'Unison'. In the 90s, I used her albums, in particular 'The Colour Of My Love', 'Falling Into You' and 'D'eux' which, in my opinion, is the best vocal and creative era of our singer. At that moment, she was singing as if her life depended on it, we could only admire her dazzling trajectory and watch her conquer one country after another. She sang as if her life depended on it, to convince, to dominate. Subsequently, with the Vegas adventure, she sang to satisfy her audience, out of duty. After winning them, you had to give them what they want. And it seemed with his albums. I always listened to what she did afterwards, but very honestly, few times I wanted to listen to her albums in a loop. Sometimes one or two pieces hooked my ear, and after a few listenings, I had enough. I was present at its premiere at the Videotron Center in Quebec City and once again I admired the singer and the woman much more than her repertoire that offered us nothing new for the ear. It was, however, a great lesson of charisma, generosity and professionalism that I saw that night. Fascinating to look at, she looked good and her shining eyes showed she was still on fire. Yesterday, I let myself try to listen to his latest album Courage. It had been a long time since I had had a crush like that. Initially, first impression: a coherence between each of the songs. We do not shoot everywhere at once as before (a dance-flavored song, a jazz ballad, another classic, then a sweet pop). No, all songs work one after the other. Like a thread that connects them. 'Courage' seems to me the right title for this wonderful bouquet of songs that could also have been 'Recovering' at the level of meaning. Some mentioned a darker album, I do not agree. I find it bright on the contrary. It exudes the resilience, faith, richness and complexity of the human soul. It is through the faults that light appears. And Céline, with her great generosity did not sit on her laurels. I notice once again an evolution. She does not want to do what she has done before, that is perfection. What she accustomed us in the 90s. No, this time, we feel a desire for authenticity, it opens the doors of its fragility. I have never felt so much emotion listening to his songs, nuances, color palettes, grains, textures. His extended vocal is even richer than before. More fluid too, more nuanced. She jumps from a low note to a high note and we do not know what is asking for effort. One slap after another. This woman is simply a force of nature, a Stradivarius of vocal prowess. How can a human sing like that? It is true that a few times, I would have liked a less typed, more natural pronunciation. But at the same time, I can only bow to the evolution it proposes. Again, those who think that the recording was botched and misdirected are in error. Celine is a hard worker, she must have done at least twenty to thirty takes for each song. And if she says it like that, it's because she wants it. It's its color, the sound it wants to transmit. She is a master in her art, she is what Louis Armstrong was on the trumpet. We do not tell her how to play, we take her as she comes and if you do not like, you do not have to listen. At the level of production, there again a great consistency, excellent choices to bring the timeless piano on almost all songs. Very modern and in the same classic. We do not denature the diva here, we dress her great designers of sound. We make it shine. Some songs are downright shattering. I think of 'Falling In Love Again', 'For The Lover That I Lost' and 'Boundaries'. Wow! She completely invested herself. 'The Hard Way' and 'Heart Of Glass' are bombs, I wanted to shout and applaud while listening to them. 'The Chase' is bright. And I do not understand why many do not like 'Lovers Never Die' ... For me, this song is powerful and sung in an extraordinary way. She reminds me of the irreverent side of Amy Winehouse. It could be a song that would convince non-converts. I also find that the texts are deeper, more subtle and original. They offer once again a great theme of substance, which she had never done on these English albums. It was worth it to take her time to offer us this little gem. This time, no filling song, no song to satisfy others, to convince. There is a real risk here, more successful than 'Taking Chances' and 'Loved Me Back To Life' which were sometimes made of concession ... of half-assumed risks. She was pleased, she went to the end of his idea and that is understood. In short, an artistic renaissance for me! As I said at the beginning, it's been a long time since I've listened to Celine Dion in my headphones and put a song on repeat. This time, the album is running in a loop and not just one song! Thank you Céline for the shivers and tears that came by listening to the different pictures of your courage. I missed you. Welcome back to my ears! Signed: An old fan. 21 Quote

JulienMcbeal Posted November 9, 2019 at 10:33 PM Posted November 9, 2019 at 10:33 PM (edited) I have always followed and admired Céline's career. Thank you for your beautiful message. For my part, the last time I listened to an album en boucle was Sans Attendre.I think Sans attendre and Courage are her best works post hiatus.
