TommKat22 Posted November 8, 2019 at 05:38 AM Posted November 8, 2019 at 05:38 AM So the Frozen 2 soundtrack comes out 2 days after Celine’s, I hope it won’t be a big competitor since the film doesn’t come out until the 22nd! I feel this week would have been an easy week for her to get a number 1!! Quote Tommy
zeopower6 Posted November 8, 2019 at 05:53 AM Posted November 8, 2019 at 05:53 AM (edited) Oh that is very possible that Frozen 2 will take over. However, the first one debuted at 18 before slowly going up cause of people seeing the movie. Edited November 8, 2019 at 05:55 AM by zeopower6 Quote
shahilpanj Posted November 8, 2019 at 06:38 AM Posted November 8, 2019 at 06:38 AM Look at us Now my absolute favourite. Should be a follow on single after Imperfections. Courage must also be a single and For the Lover that I lost, its a subtle melody Quote

However, the first one debuted at 18 before slowly going up cause of people seeing the movie. Yes, but the first one was such a blockbuster that this second album will open with much higher numbers. It would be tragic if Celine debuts at #2 because of this... Quote
zeopower6 Posted November 8, 2019 at 07:19 AM Posted November 8, 2019 at 07:19 AM Still, I think Frozen 2 will mostly have longer legs as opposed to exploding out the gate. People don't usually buy it till they've seen the movie so if it does hit big, it probably will be the weeks after. Quote

Popular Post LVCeline Posted November 8, 2019 at 08:14 AM Popular Post Posted November 8, 2019 at 08:14 AM I haven't been strong, forgive me mother for I have sinned. This album is phenomenal. I couldn't have imagined such an album from her. It's so modern and current, there are no cheeseball songs or Rain, Tax equivalents. It flows so nicely. She uses lots of different aspects of her voice, it's incredible. I could see how the people still expecting a FIY voice would be disappointed, but this album showcases her evolution. Most songs use a lot of fast phrasing, I could imagine it was difficult for her not being a native English speaker. I really FELT the songs, you could nitpick her voice here and there but honestly I am so satisfied in a way I never thought possible. Change My Mind will BLOW YOUR MIND. The 2nd half of the song, ho-ly-crap. Those high notes are freaking HIGH, it absolutely blew me out of my chair! 17 Quote
mirage Posted November 8, 2019 at 09:52 AM Posted November 8, 2019 at 09:52 AM Lol since I absolutely don't like Ma Force, and I absolutely LOVE Reveal & AGLTOW I'm very curious what I think of The Hard Way few more days!!! The Hard Way has the same vibe as Ma Force from Encore Un Soir. Similar message. And somewhat bombastic. Both deluxe edition tracks too. Reminds me somehow of a cross between Reveal and Aint Gonna Look The Other Way a bit. Verstuurd vanaf mijn CLT-L29 met Tapatalk 3 Quote

marc-02 Posted November 8, 2019 at 10:10 AM Posted November 8, 2019 at 10:10 AM (edited) I've always been a sucker for background vocals and subtle background harmonies in her records. In that regard, can somebody tell me what exactly the backup singers are singing in the last part of Boundaries, exactly at 2:55. Before that, you can hear the regular "Now you've found me / There's no boundaries" but at 2:55, you can hear a second layer of backup vocals, singing something like "I could never, I could never give some ???" marc-02 Posted November 8, 2019 at 10:57 AM Posted November 8, 2019 at 10:57 AM BTW, the stars of Frozen 2 have started doing their rounds of talk show interviews (Kimmel, Corden), and the theme song has officially dropped. Any day now, I hope the round of interviews Celine did for the press a few months back starts coming out. And that she starts making the rounds in talk shows. 1 Quote

The article is a narrative about her life and career, her life after the loss of Rene, her love for haute couture. There are also some anecdotes, like the story of how she handled that woman who entered the stage during a concert in LV.There's a two-page piece about her "beautiful hair" LOL and an advert for the new album. 12 Quote
Neddo Posted November 8, 2019 at 11:24 AM Posted November 8, 2019 at 11:24 AM Here is my review.FOMO- This is probably the most divaish song on this album. Vocals are crystal clear and song is one of most energetic. It kinda doesnt fit to album, but its probably the one that has the most impact of first listen. 9/10LND- This should have been longer. PMLALS would be a better followup to FOMO. But this one could be a successful single. 8/10FILA- Very nice ballad, a nice break between these songs. 8/10LD- Most Celinish song on album. Most single potential. 10/10C-Best lyrics on album. 9/10I-Very relaxing and instrumental ending makes it complete 8/10CMM-Those notes make it single friendly. 8/10SY-Very relaxing and simple. 8/10NW-Catchy and relatable. 8/10TC-Kinda drags on and on, but its good. 7/10FTLTIL-NIce melody, but it should have been longer 8/10B-Weakest Sia song IMO. 6/10IWBS-Kinda fillerish but its properly executed 6/10HDYGH-This one also feels a bit repetitive, and not that unique. But its catchy. 7/10LAUN-Most single potential of all. 9/10PG- A bit boring but its a nice ending. 8/10BOA- A filler that could have been replaced by Ashes, but its not bad. 6/10HOG- After LAUN, this is very single friendly. It should have replaced Baby 10/10B- One of the best ballads on album. 9/10THW- Most powerful chorus since LMBTL. 9/10 Overall, this albums has less filler than usual english albums. Singing is very tecnhical yet its very emotional and convincing. Many of songs are French level songs emotional. Album has a very y2k vibe, but its not dated its retrofuturistic. But the biggest issue is that there arent enough break moments and instrumental parts. Many songs could have been longer by at least half a minute. That is what previous albums done better. Also besides 4 songs already released, CMM, NW, FTLIL, LAUN, HOG are single potentials. Additionally many of these songs could work live. Overall highlights for me are FOMO, LD, C, LAUN, Boundaires and Heart of Glass. On technical level, this album is above OH, TC, Unison and LMBTL easily. Altough, bigger production of LTAL, FIY and ANDHC is missed on some occasions. However, easily most personal english album. Probably the most versatile vocally. It probably is the best album of her english career because of these 2 last charateristics alone. IMO criticis wont rate it higher than 75. But it definetly deserves at least ANDHC and LMBTL level of positive reviews. 3 Quote http://imageshack.us/a/img138/7804/5tq2.png

JulienMcbeal Posted November 8, 2019 at 02:07 PM Posted November 8, 2019 at 02:07 PM On iTunes, it now states the album is "explicit"! Never thought I'd see the day. It's great and hilarious I think! mikez Posted November 8, 2019 at 02:24 PM Posted November 8, 2019 at 02:24 PM Has anybody here already identified what note she hits in the "scream" part of CMM? It's an E5 (one semitone lower than the ABM big note). She's hit this note many times on her records but usually not this long and not this chesty (which makes it this powerful). I guess this video needs an update 2 Quote
superstar85ca Posted November 8, 2019 at 02:56 PM Posted November 8, 2019 at 02:56 PM Ok who can I DM for the bonus tracks I.e. Heart of Glass? Again - I'm buying the album. Nothing will be more fun than going to the music store to purchase a new Celine album - however I've had a taste and I need every song now. "Baby" is playing on a loop in my life right now. Quote

I can also add that this is a very solid and matter-of-fact article about her, which I have never seen in the Polish press in the past. In total, the text is very comprehensive, mentioning many interesting facts from the past but also has very substantive references to what Céline is doing today. At times I had an impression that such a text could have been written only by someone who is an active reader or user of this forum Alice, maybe it's you? 4 Quote
