It’s weird because its coming from a not a fan of his, i actually don’t like him at all. Musically and his personality.. just few catchy songs are good.

I've had the album on repeat since the last couple of days and i may write a review later but I'm ready to call it now.... Falling in Love Again will be sung at the Grammy's!! It is the one stand-out vocal in the album. The rest is great, I don't skip any songs (maybe nobody's watching... which is ironic since it's the most FIY album sounding). Probably a Courage vol.2 maybe, lol. Has she ever had such a full sized album before? 21 tracks in all with the Japanese release... also, I think she said that basically every song they had sent to her as demos she was like "this is so good I want to sing it", right?

 

yeah that's what she said and I think she said back in April she recorded 40 something songs. If that's true, I hope we will hear some of those songs. I wouldn't mind a super deluxe edition of Courage released later on with additional songs wishful thinking

I remember the TC album was released in Japan before the USA and I rush ordered it and got it the weekend before release date. That was exciting.

"For the lover that I lost" is another gem. Easy for her to perform live. It's so melancholic and powerful at the same time.

This is still my favourite song, but it’s soo short! It’s such an elegant song about loss, and it could apply to a death of a relationship or an actual death. The melody is haunting and yet sweet.

 

I’d love to see this performed on TV, but if someone was in the bathroom, they’d miss the whole thing!

I can't wait to be the 15th to share my happiness about this MASTERPIECE!!!!! I want to tell my friends, my family, and THE WORLD to listen to this wonderful album, the best since A new day has come (and maybe the best of ALL, but I have to wait several years to say so ahah).

 

And I like to see that we don't have the same taste about the songs..

 

I am still amazed by "Look at us now", it makes me feel so good (I know the lyrics are not positive ahah, but...). And "The hard way" is just magic.

 

I can't understand the hype around "Nobody's watching", which is the song that I like the less, even though I still listen to it as it's a good song anyway ahah.

As for 'Nobody's watching' i'm guessing the hype is because it sounds like a FIY song. I enjoy it even though it's not part of my absolute favorites from the album... but I have lots of them Boundaries is a gem too

Look At Us Now, The Hard Way and Change My Mind are quickly becoming my top 3. I've been good, haven't listened anymore since I said I wouldn't. I'll share about it on social media when it's actually been released....only really discussing it here for now. But wow, this whole album!!!

 

Does anyone know what the Japanese blue-disc is?? (The one that has the 21st song on it) Before I try and go through the effort of purchasing this, I want to make sure I'll actually be able to play it. And how does Yen translate into the American dollar....Like, if it's Y2,640....what is that in terms of US value? LOL

I'm loving the facts that reviews are so mixed, there are not absolutely hated songs, some are hated by some and loved by others.

I also love the fact that is so difficult to choose the next single.

As I stated before, there are no fillers in this album, there is music for everybody inside it.

I have caved in and listened to Lovers Never Die and FREAKING LOVE IT! Wow! If this is one of the worst on the album I can't imagine the best! It's definitely a little edgier for her, I love her style of singing, it's less enunciated for sure but I'm loving it!

 

I don't get Love is All We Need AT ALL. That's super misleading, this song is much more melodic, I can't stress how offensive that is to Lovers Never Die comparing the two. Opinion is fine, I just don't remotely see any similarity.

 

For me, it's really Michael Jackson-like.
