I agree she should sing Courage. It is a ballad and the general public loves consuming her ballads. She has also sung it live already and we know she is doing a great job.

 

Alternatively, she should sing For The Lover That I Lost. Viewers will CRY!

They are discussing the Courage tracks on her official fb fan group page. So ffing weird. There's like a poll for which one is best and so on....

I don't want her to sing Courage. It's a bit too mellow and too "same". People will hear it think "ok she hasn't changed - NEXT!" And then the album is over and done with by the time the Christmas season kicks in.

 

Don't get me wrong it's a very nice track. But if it's in a live setting it shouldn't come as the only performance. It should had been on like Oprah where she did many songs in one show.

 

For the first performance off the new album it needs to be bombastic and new (LD sounds "old" too). And it seems from those who heard the album there are plenty songs to choose from to do just that.

I think falling in love again is gonna be appreciated only by fans. I can't see regular people (for the most part) enjoying it like we do.

The article is a narrative about her life and career, her life after the loss of Rene, her love for haute couture. There are also some anecdotes, like the story of how she handled that woman who entered the stage during a concert in LV.

There's a two-page piece about her "beautiful hair" LOL and an advert for the new album.

For those looking for a translation - there's nothing here you don't already know. It's basically cobbled together from pre-existing interviews, press, and books. The quotes are verbatim translations of previously-released interviews in English.

It is well written though, and clearly well researched. (They even mention her pre-Rene manager). Nice to see such an extensive feature, and one that succinctly and effectively summarizes her life and career.

I genuinely expected more than one late night show next week, so truth be told, this is disappointing.

But better than nothing, I suppose.

She'll probably not sing anything from the album (that's not on the EP). I am surprised if I am wrong about that, pleasently surprised though.

 

LD is the highest chance. She seems to love it. Had a snippet on Carpool, made a mv for it and actually sings it on tour.

 

I hope she doesn't coz I simply don't like Lyin Daaaaooo. To me it's dated and isnt that easy on the ears in the refrains. The rest of the album seems current, cool, impactful, well crafted and quite innovative (if I've taken your reviews correct). It would be a shame if she showcased it with LD, which to me isn't much like that.

I expect (hope?) that she does more than the one appearance. Would be waste of a trip / promo week otherwise!

But you never know. Team Celine has made some odd choices lately (like that FB group they posted about earlier this week... what's that? Who's on Facebook in 2019? I mean, other than your grumpy grandpa... or is that the Celine target demo now? They better have more up their sleeves than that!)

 

I'm disappointed by the lack of magazine features. Most would have already released their covers and at least promo'd the key content for this month, even if the full editions aren't out yet.
