"Courage" album - Official Topic

" I found me, I found faith, I found trust" I think in the whole Encore un soir album she didn't open her throat as much as in the last note of "trust". She has developed her technique and is not closed as she used to be in the past recordings. So, so beautiful

as great as some songs were , her voice was not at her best on this album. She was fragile.... but great album anyway.

I'm so so so thankful. At least we won't discover those songs with bad quality youtube videos tonight!! They've finally learned from their LMBTL/FOMO experiences I guess!

This could probably be her best album since falling into you, let's talk about love is great but it will stay in 90s, A New Day has come is equally nice but it stay in 2000, taking chances is taking chances but neither here nor there.... Loved me back to life tried so hard to catch up with the trend but somehow sound dated in 2013 unquestionably still few nice song like surprise surprise.

 

Finally in my opinion, courage seems to be the finest album filled quality and hopefully no more cover songs in this album, almost half of the songs from this album already beat the above all.

 

Not forgetting "play me like a love song" sounds very promising as well and it could be i surrender 2.0

If we think of trends and what s current just right now, Imperfection incapsulate all that. Crazy she managed to get to work with Lauv and obtain this just perfectly current sound. It has this post Malone vibe and it just feels good in Celine s repertoire.

Well... after several hearings, these are my impressions:

 

Lying Down: anticipated. It deserves (at minus) a decent video, based on album cover (as happen with "All By Myself" on Falling Into You album). Has so much potential. Superb.

 

Courage: Extremely EPIC. The orchestra, the progression of notes, all in the place. Perfect. It remains me so much to Laura Pausini's songs, especially the "it's not easy" part.

 

Imperfections: Radio friendly, to me it's not "a hit" but it's sounds good.

 

I was waiting for "Play Me Like A Love Song"...

Ok don't shoot but Imperfections just is blah to me.... I like FOMO much better.

 

Same - I like it, but don't love it. YET anyway. So far Lying Down is my favorite. Always takes me a while though. Honestly back when I heard ANDHC for the first time I wasn't that impressed and now it's one of my absolute favorites.

 

I think the repetitiveness in Imperfections is what bugs me, but I know this is the way more modern songs are sung. That being said, I've listened at least 15 times so far. And my husband was humming it this morning so that's always a plus. lol

 

I'm mind blown - this album is clearly going to be WELL worth the wait. And sooooooooo many tracks I'm just speechless! :wub: :wub:

Imperfections to me sounds like a conversation that a person knows they need to have but it’s so difficult that they just can’t quite make sense of how they feel. I mean all this in a good way! It’s real, has that R&B feel, and the ending lyrics are so common but the way she sings them make such a huge impact.

Oh I love both Courage and Lying Down very much! Imperfections still need to grow on me, the vibes of this song reminds me a bit of the Michael Jackson song that Celine sang in Vegas.

Imperfections sounds like a Justin bieber track. I like the track, it is growing on me more and more! courage is really beautiful and honest, straight from the heart about missing Rene.

Lying down is a classic powerballads and has a great epic production.

Guys, I can't stop listening to "Courage" and "Imperfections" on repeat 😍😍😍😍😍

"Courage" is soft, intimate and powerful in the same time. It's like Celine is whispering her story to our ears.. 💕

"Imperfections" is current, fresh, modern, radio friendly and much better than "Flying On My Own" imo 😁

About "Lying Down", I don't know actually.. I'm kinda disappointed until now 😕 not the best song at all for me.
