"Courage" album - Official Topic

Imperfections is sinking in on me. I think after listening for a few hours my order goes this way:

1. Courage- Great ballad. very emotional would love to see how everyone will react to this on tour.

2. Imperfections - I would love to see her do dancing somehow but not really vocally what I want to see live.

3. Lying down- great-- remind me of I got nothing left or some songs on Taking chances.

The songs are amazing and she looks great in all the photos already revealed.

 

IMO, Lying Down will be a perfect single.

Now release the music video, please.

Lying Down, better than expected.

Courage, just beautiful.

Imperfections, took me a couple of listens but it’s actually quite good.

 

Great production, great vocals and all three just keep growing after each listen.

One thing, sorry, but i don’t know where i can write it. I’m new here and when i was creating my account i had to write, that Celine is 49 years old (during prooving that „i’m real”). 😉 maybe someone can change it for 51, to be actual. I barely guessed what the problem was 😉

- Courage - when she sang that line on a few interviews I didn't had big expectations.

But dear lord, it's amazing. The orchestra, her voice, the lyrics are sooo sad. THIS song is really written for Celine, instead of that Recovering one.

Very personal. I can say now that it's a gem in her English 'album' repetoire, along with some oldies. Since ANDHC album she hasn't one that moved me this much.

 

Would love to see more of his songs on the album with orchestra

 

- Lying Down - wow heavy, hard to understand some words. Kind of This Time vibe. 'I can hear you speak poison' it's like her voice is at its limit, a bit too much for me. Wonder how she will nail that live haha. And a bit too many repeat of Lying Down.

 

- Imperfections - perfect first single, radiofriendly, very current sound but not exaggerating it. Just a mellow song that you listen anywhere in any atmosphere.

I really hope radio will play this. Could easily be a Ariana or other current young artist song.

 

Overall, 3 different songs, 3 different vibes, but they match so good together.

 

Really have big expectations for the rest of the album.

Like I said earlier, think this could be a big hit. Don't think Sony will do much more effort for her next English record.

Hi everyone! Long time - no post.

 

I listened to the new songs today and I got very excited, so I thought that this is the place for me to share this excitement...!

 

Courage - very emotional performance, but not in a forced way. Her voice soars and you can tell she is feeling the song. I also noticed it is going to be track #5 on the album, so apparently the song means a lot to her, since 5 is her lucky number. Same thing happened with Sans Attendre and ANDHC - two very strong albums.

Lying Down - probably my favorite new song. Strong, modern, catchy. Most importantly, the lyrics are probably the best answer to toxic relationships.

Imperfections - a much needed chilled song. Makes me think this will be a considerably diverse album in terms of mood. Love her voice in this one as well. I think her lower register has improved with age.

 

On a side note, I have also enjoyed FOMO, but not as much as these new songs. And have to admit I have only listened to it a handful of times.

 

IMO, the most positive thing is how we are probably looking at a very coherent piece of work. The songs blend well and are very consistent with the overarching theme of the album. Something that we have not quite seen since ANDHC. I am also very happy about us getting an album of 16 songs! Quality should be put above quantity, but I cannot help being excited about us getting an album that is seemingly structured like her larger-than-life blockbusters. European editions of both FIY and LTAL include 16 songs each. Something about this number clicks so well with me! Getting 20 songs for the Deluxe edition makes things even better. Even the most demanding ones should be pleased as far as quantity is concerned.

 

I have a very good feeling that this can be a milestone album for Celine! We should enjoy the journey!

I just got out of class and my god these songs are amazing. I adore Lying Down! The music behind Celine’s vocals is just breathtaking. The lyrics cut you, and they’re perfect. Courage is amazingly beautiful. It’s simple, but I think Moccio hit it right on the head. He got out what she needed to say and in such a beautiful way. That “train wreck” line shocked the heck out of me. So haunting but so perfect all at the same time. Imperfections is good too! Not my favorite out of the bunch but I’m sure if she does it live tonight it will be a hit for sure!

Best thing is that for all those who are not impressed today, there are still other 16 songs to discover soon. That's one full album and half another one as per the usual standards in today's releases!

 

And I wonder what will happen with the Japanese release, will they have even more bonus tracks? I doubt they can have more in the Deluxe Edition (a 20-track disc is already full capacity enough!), but what about the standard edition? They have space for bonus tracks in the 16-track standard edition...
