Well put! May doesn’t seem likely for a new single. However...July...July is another story. BST is where I’m thinking she’ll unveil some new material - maybe the more uptempo stuff since its an outdoor concert? The single may still not be released for a while a la LMBTL.

I think they're definitely going to release the first single right after the Car Karaoke thing. It's probably not a bad idea to test the new sound/song and potentially have a summer hit to keep the buzz going for the new album in the fall. If it does well or doesn't well, maybe that'll help them decide what will be the 12 songs out the 40+ songs she's already recorded for the new album.

haha right on... cause since there are hmmm, about over 100 songs in her catalogue NOT uploaded to her youtube vevo account yet, again it looks like it will be SEVERAL more years left before we get the new single or even the album... NOT BEING NEGATIVE, but being REALISTIC!!

 

like i said, @ this rate the new album will be called "60" & released when she is 60 years old!! 😣😣😔😔😝😝

 

They’re not uploading EVERY song. And they’re at TCOLM now.... that still leaves CD and Unison after this.

sorry but i still DONT KNOW WHY celines team is still WAITING UNTIL THANKSGIVING to release the new english album instead of SUMMER/EARLY FALL if celine has recorded over 40-50 songs as she says she did...

 

cause honestly during november, the US media moves on to EVERYTHING CHRISTMAS by then & any new songs that is NOT christmas related will be FORGOTTEN & IGNORED by the media & the general public!!

 

i dont know how it goes in other countries, but here in the good old US, the "NON-STOP christmas frenzy" now starts in EARLY november (before thanksgiving,) so anything new released gets the cold shoulder around that time if it is not holiday-related lol... sorry but thats just "the way it is" lolllll...

EXACTLY!!!!!! THANK YOU!! i do what i am talking about here, i see it happen every year!! that us why celines "LMBTL" album back in 2013 was a HUGE flop in the US!! sorry but it was... both "LMBTL" the single & "incredible" were both IGNORED by the US general public... & no it was not cause of lack of promotion, cause she did lots of promo from september-november 2013 & the album was still ignored!! in fact most people i know did not even know that xeline had released a new album that year!!

And don't forget that when she was promoting it - like her duet with neo, she was in uncertain times because Rene for ill again.

Some people still don't accept the fact that radios won't play Celine single, it won't matter if it is before Christmas, in summer or in spring. Radios are not going to play her singles, same as they don't play Madonna's new music (despite all the collaborations), Mariah, Christina... Don't set yourself up for disappointment because is not going to happen. Celine Dion won't have a radio hit ever again, accept it and move on. They are releasing the album when they know they can sell more.

 

On the other hand, Q4 is harder to get #1 album because competition is higher, but with the ticket bundle we might be surprised this time. I think the first week sales are going to be quite decent.

Newsflash - she is a huge commercial machine- part of which she must enjoy/strive for and thrive in- and is ruled by contracts and sales figures. She would love to sit and smoke spliffs round the campfire with all her fans, but she can’t. Music is coming though! Patience people.

I got a feeling that they got the name Courage for having to courage to wait 6 years after her last English album. It was either that or Without Waiting

no i do agree that a tour with a title should at least have some new songs before the tour starts. and yes usually people get excited after hearing new music to go to an upcoming tour.

But yeah, it is just odd and backwards logistically....one doesn’t have to say anything about it other than it makes no sense! It goes to show that her team really do act in mysterious ways.

I’m hoping that she was just guessing when she said a November release - she certainly didn’t seem at all like she was certain about it.

 

Releasing a single in July after premiering it at BST in the lead up to a September album release makes more sense. We all know that her team hasn’t made sense in the past but now that Celine seems to be more in charge, perhaps things are going to change?

 

I’m sure there will be nothing new/no news until Vegas wraps but that’s not too far away now. The new era is about to begin!!

Its no use releasing an album while you are touring. Between Vegas and the start of the tour she could have about 2 months promoting it... but with the tight tour schedule I cant see much TV appearances happening then

They still have in mind that releasing it in November will boost sales because of Christmas.

But seriously they are just killing the album already.

 

There were plenty of moments the last 2 months to release at least a new song.

I don't care if they don't have the setlist ready.

If they can give us a preview during a tour announcement and promo video.

Why wait with releasing?

Whether the song ends up on the album doesn't matter.

I was thinking the same thing. Makes much more sense to release a July single where she can do some TV appearances for it in July and August (she’ll already be in Europe so could release it the same day as BST and then do London talk shows and the like the following week.)

 

I seem to remember there being a 4 week break in the tour in November though when all the dates were first announced. That may have changed as they’ve been adding more shows to the first leg of it.

Theres a 4 week break between November 5th and December 1st, that gives around 2 weeks of promo time with 2 weeks off too for a vocal rest.
