Yes! And apperently she didn't sign the contract til last second. She should do it for free and be glad for the huge amount of promotion it brings... so ignorant.

 

Instead it's Madonna promoting on Eurovision... and getting paid 1.3 million to do just that!

Releasing two singles in one day is not a smart move, it more or less negates the chance of either of the songs having big success as people will be listening to both rather than focusing in on one released song, lessening streams etc.

 

And even if one does chart, the other is probably guaranteed to be forgotten.

 

And id hardly call someones career that started years ago but had no impact until 3 years ago someone that a legend should take notes from

Is it good exposure? Sure.

Is it a smart move for Celine? Not necessarily.

 

Eurovision is the ultimate extreme of pop music kitsch. It's widely perceived as tacky / hilariously over the top. Which is precisely the sort of criticism that's plagued Celine for much of her career.

If she's trying to distance herself from that perception and be taken as a serious artist, staying away form Eurovision is a wise thing..

 

And I get a sense she's been trying to do just that for a while now. Judging from what she's said in various interviews, I don't think she'd want to relive the experience. When it comes up, she begrudgingly acknowledges it was an important / useful step in her career, but then quickly veers away from the subject. She has said she didn't particularly like the song nor the experience of participating.

 

She has had 30+ years to come back. She hasn't. And I don't think it's by accident. She's Eurovision's biggest success story that gets trotted out every year. I'm certain they've asked many times. If she hasn't shown up, it's probably because she doesn't want to.

Any Other Way has 2 MVs. WDMHBN had also two: the pseudolive one with Celine on stage and the black-and-white one. Water from the moon had also 2, if I remember correctly. Think Twice has a second pseudoMV, shown in a TV show, but it is unofficial MV. Je sais pas has also two. The second one can be found in the ONCP DVD.

Possibly because the albums coming out in November and its only May... maybe, just maybe people dont release first singles when theyre still stuck in a residency 6 months before their album is released

Well.. lead single from Charlie Puth's "Voicenotes" album (May 2018) was released in April... 2017 😇😏

so, Celine could easily release the lead single 6 months before the album 😉

Or even better, she could release just a promotional single (as Mariah did with "GTFO" before "With You" (the actual lead single of her "Caution" album)) 😋

 

When you're Celine Dion, believe me, you can release anything anytime you want... 😎

Well put! May doesn’t seem likely for a new single. However...July...July is another story. BST is where I’m thinking she’ll unveil some new material - maybe the more uptempo stuff since its an outdoor concert? The single may still not be released for a while a la LMBTL.
