Anyway, looks to me like she met the international marketing them, the brand partnerships team, and exec management (I think I recognized Rob Stringer and John Doelp in some of those videos from today).

I think it’s clear that she now does the work that Rene would do in the past. Actually, I like seeing this. It’s good to know she didn’t just fly to NYC for pleasure but also for some business! That’s great, even if it was just a quick “hello”.

Good to see that the team seem to love her.

Would love to know what they talked about, and especially what Celine wants.

 

Back in the day it was always like 'I don't have to prove myself' attitude.

But something tells me that in a way she got a spark back about recording this album and has a vision about it. So I really want to know what she wants with this album and promotion.

Well one single can have many remixes. So by "when they are out" he must mean the remixes (not the singles).

Ok!Am I the only one that is deeply touched by this! I am always amazed at how much she loved and treasured Rene.She respected his work and everything he did for her.

 

That, and of course she made friends with the mailman.

99% of people - regular folk, never mind a superstar! - would not have noticed him. But Celine did and clearly made a point of making his day.

 

It seems everyone who meets her - in any context, and even for a few minutes - comes away with such a positive experience.

Well, from what I gathered, a lot of the people in that meet-up yesterday were marketing coordinators and marketing managers. Those are fairly junior roles.

(Plus Sony doesn't pay all that well so a lot of older / more experienced people eventually leave for other industries. (I speak from experience, having worked at Sony in the past - Pictures, not Music, but it's not all that different.))

Music biz largely really is a young person's game - on and off stage.

I accidentally posted this in in wrong topic, but yeah, I think the major aim of that visit was to get the people with day-to-day responsibility of marketing her actually pumped about it. Lots of them are clearly too young to really know her or really care, but judging by those photos & video - she clearly won them over.
