wellllll actually the discussion is NOT really about "album promo" as much right now, since currently the new album is not due for another 6 months (OR MORE,) so obviously it is WAAAAY TOO EARLY for album promo @ this point & right now we BARELY have any info on the new album as it is...

 

however, the latest trend with MOST other artists is releasing a FEW singles before the actual album release in recent years (especially this being "THE DIGITAL ERA" with people mostly streaming & purchasing their music/entertainment on digital platforms such as itunes/google play/amazon/spotify nowadays more than ever...)

 

& it is NOT just younger artists doing that, (releasing MULTIPLE singles before album releases,) even OLDER artists are doing that as well... like a few pages back, a few of you guys mentioned MADONNA releasing a few of her new songs before her upcoming album release, & MARIAH just recently did that as well since her most recent album release, & PINK, LADY GAGA, BARBRA, & a few other "older & not newbie" artists are also doing that trend as well...

 

personally i think it would be AWESOME if celine would do that with this current album (& release it EARLIER & withing AUGUST-SEPTEMBER instead of november!!)

 

here would be THE PERFECT TIMELINE if the album was to be released aug.-sept. (in my opinion:)

 

-released a new single during the FIRST WEEK OF APRIL (during the tour promo week, that "FLYING ON MY OWN/BABY" song should of been released as a new single instead of just a 30 second snippet!!)

 

-release single #2 during late may/early june (around end of vegas residency time!!)

 

-release single #3 right before the album release in aug./sept. (like a week or 2 earlier!!)

 

like i said, i think this would be PERFECT... but us fans know this would be VERY UNLIKELY to happen, cause celine & her team are known to never follow most trends & this would be waaay too "logical" for her team lol...

Haha, I generally read every post on here since I like to stay informed.

That said, since I joined the forum in mid-2015, ffgravygirl82 has the distinction of being the only member whose posts I skip, as they are just completely illegible.

Can't be bothered to go through the brain damage of deciphering that.

i think that passing over the post is quicker.... some people don't want to learn to be concise and bring their point . When i feel it will learn me nothing , i skip. Depends on the poster naturally.

Even with Celine, I don't think Sony will be smart/interested enough to release much new material after she's gone!! They're just plain stupid and careless with her catalogue. Time has proved this.

I don't know why Celine isn't doing something similar to Barbra Streisand's "Just for the record" career retrospective where Barbra compiled demos, alternate takes, rare songs, unreleased material, live renditions from each decade of her career. She personally hand picked the songs for the compilation, I don't know how often Celine visits her previous recordings or just her scrapped songs (which are numerous for sure), but she's been in the business for so long now, she could do something like this and it would sell for sure.

It says that he decided to make a charity song in honor of not only Venezuela but everything that’s happening in the world, that will be bilingual, will send a message about love and unity (so Celine) and will happen in Vegas. Probably the majority will be latin singers but i think there will be others as well. That girl isn't a latin american singer to begin with. Anyway i can't be sure. We will find out shortly.

I recently bought an Audio Technica record player and I've been having a LOVE AFFAIR with Celine's albums from the 1980s. I purchased them all off eBay and it's been a dream come true. I had been listening to them on YouTube prior to now, but there's something so special about listening to them as they were intended to be heard.

 

C'est Pour Toi might be my new favorite album of hers. Divine.

 

I wish Celine would release more French music on her English albums and embrace her bilingual career. I wonder what the odds are that we’ll have a new French song on this English album??

yea i know what you mean, i think celines team should have tried to put her english & french careers TOGETHER side by side a LOOONG TIME AGO (like back in the 90s!!)

 

but i am afraid @ this point it will NEVER happen @ all!! especially since celine does not release new music as often as she USED to back in the day... & LORD KNOWS when the next new english album will be released after this upcoming one comes out... & thats even IF celine will make anymore albums after this one though....

 

oh by the way, is there ANY WAY to find those songs from the 80s online ANYWHERE?? (cause unfortunately i do NOT own a record player, i have never bought records or a record player, & i dont intend to anytime soon or if ever, ALL of my music collection is DITIGAL now!!) is there anything on ITUNES/AMAZON/GOOGLE PLAY, etc... thank you soooo much!!
