I think it's the other way around. Madonna is releasing in June to try to get number 1 even if it means less sales. But a summer realease won't garantee a number 1 album, Bruce Springsteen is now releasing same week as Madonna...

That's FIVE new songs unveiled before the album release, almost one new song each week. Exactly as Celine guys

 

And here's we're still seeing opinions defending Celine "doesn't need to release a new single because it's too soon"... Some people!

 

The only thing I agree with is that Celine needs to release a music video or two with good concepts and visuals.

 

As for the rest, Madonna's album comes out in 2 months. Of course she's releasing 5 songs leading up to it. Why would Celine release songs when her album is still 5-7 months away. Despite wanting new music already I can understand why they may not want to release anything yet.

Then there's the fact that she's apparently still recording some stuff, idk.

 

Besides, we know she'll be singing at least one new song during BTS. I just hope to god they don't use a live recording as the "music video."

But, I am choosing to be optimistic because I think they are trying much more with this album. They recorded a video (or movie as they've been calling it) to announce the tour and they set up a free event for fans (2 things they didn't need to do), and they're putting out ads everywhere possible.

There's effort being put so I think when they are finally ready we are going to get many of the things we want.

 

Could they move a little faster with some things? Sure, but it is what it is.

Then again, I wasn't expecting the tour announcement until after Vegas.

 

EDIT: just watched the Medellin video. I did not like it.

I think it's the other way around. Madonna is releasing in June to try to get number 1 even if it means less sales. But a summer realease won't garantee a number 1 album, Bruce Springsteen is now releasing same week as Madonna...

 

i was being ironic, Celine releasing the album around november is a strategic move because it's around the christmas season and that will generate more sales for her

Madonna is so desperate that she had to do multiple collabs with younger/hip singers (Maluma, Annita…)

Without them, I doubt she would get much attention.

 

As for Celine, well I thought she would have released and sung the new single the day she announced the tour, and perform it on Kimmel's show as well. Lost opportunity because the momentum was so big! Let's hope for a new single at the Billboard Awards or on Carpool.

Come on Celine, give us something before the summer is over!

we have still 4 game of thrones to listen to, much better than Madonna last video. And we don't know what will happen, contrary to Madonna, who dit not surprise me in the slightess.

I'm not going to create expectations on Billboard, because maybe this surprise act is Taylor Swift, she releases single tomorrow.

If Celine releases her single closer to Autumn it's understandable because of the time between the single and the release of the album. A good news is that we know the album is coming this year.

Lol that was a PERSONAL reason (sorry don’t have bold option in my mobile version) but truth is that with that album everything was jinxed from the start: the conception of this album was a total mess from the start and with René being healthy, the first single with a Top name like Sia didn’t have a video, she didn’t do anything with the remixes they released for the song (like always), the second single arrived too late and the video was released months after the single (and was pretty poor honestly), and eventually, the record company didn’t care about this album from the start. That has nothing to do about René’s health and may I recall that Celine was still performing in Vegas all the way through till 2015.

Just heard 'Courage' off P!nks new album Hurts 2B Human . . know its been mentioned before but its a great uptempo track - big coincidence for track to have the same name, be the name of the tour and potentially the album title??
