CelinesDIVO5 Posted April 14, 2019 at 08:28 PM Posted April 14, 2019 at 08:28 PM Fair observation, and I suppose it's a possibility. I'd say it's remote though, given the amount of material she gets from established songwriters / proven hitmakers, I worry that even if she did try something for this album, it may not make the 12-song cut. She and/ or Sony might get cold feet.I think if we're to see her own songs, it's far more likely to be on a French album first. She’s actually said that she writes better in English, than French. So I don’t see the latter being what happens. 1 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

True... but she mentioned a few times she prefers to write in English, because it’s (comes to her) easier.. I really hope we’ll see this someday... René couldn’t convince her in the past, hopefully she’ll get the confidence to do it in the (near) future ♥️ 2 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY

Well it makes sense. Shes said herself she didnt do well in school (French) and that she wasnt very smart, And yet she excelled when she went back to learn English because of her determination, so i assume that she probably does feel more confident writing in English Edited April 14, 2019 at 10:27 PM by Dion2000 1 Quote

So yeah, that I get, given she left school early and was never much good at it. But there's no way she expresses herself with more eloquence in English than in French! And you can hear it in her performances, too - those in French are far more nuanced and show a much deeper innate connection to the lyrics than in English - understandably so. Quote

See thats speaking though. Many people who may not be so good grammatically and in terms of spelling etc are far better at speaking, many people are better at speaking than writing so that adds up completely. Not to mention that French is still at the end of the day her first language, so she naturally will understand and be able to emote it better. However In English from what shes told us, she has a better grasp grammatically and in terms of what she learned in comparison to french Edited April 14, 2019 at 10:47 PM by Dion2000 Quote

dj_a_rock Posted April 15, 2019 at 12:12 AM Posted April 15, 2019 at 12:12 AM She already tried to be modern, cool and hip thrice( One Heart era, Taking Chances era and LMBTL era ) but it did not work for her. I remember most of people here praised the song LMBTL the first time we heard it and said prior to release that "If she can't get a "Hit" from this song, she can no longer get any." Except from the hardcore fans like us, general and casual fans do not want to see her singing songs like Beyonce, J.Lo or Rihanna. People love her for her power ballad. We also complaint that she is not innovating her music and that she is "stuck" in her comfort zone but that's what the public expect from her. 1 Quote

She should have this look for the carpool karaoke and on stage. It is beautiful, lush, chique and the color looks perfect. Make a whole photoshoot with this makeup and hair. It is perfect! weasley321 Posted April 15, 2019 at 07:45 AM Posted April 15, 2019 at 07:45 AM Are you saying the songs she wrote for Marc were originally in English? Yes the song actually titled 'I'm Gonna Love You Foreve" which Celine wrote as wedding gift for Rene's daughter in 2001. I think it was a very beautiful song. Celine was pregnant when she wrote this song. Here's the lyric: When I met you you were just a little girl, my babyMore than just a stranger in my eyesBut then, oh so quickly you grew up before meGirl, how you became part of my lifeAnd now as I carry life deep within meSo uncertain of a life can doI need and pray to God for just one wishThat our child be just like you And I, I'm gonna love you foreverAlways togetherYou'll never be far away from my heart Here's the video when Celine sang that song:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HmqLVQQkthUhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yAqG7FSayI 1 Quote

Marc Dupré (and Nelson Minville) translated IGLYF into TPDB and Entre Deux Mondes was more or less translated by Frédérick Baron (he and Céline were co-writers on the song). There's more on EDM . fred Posted April 15, 2019 at 09:37 PM Posted April 15, 2019 at 09:37 PM I think the font for Courage seems a bit B. Makes me think of the font called papyrus or something. Chantemoi Posted April 16, 2019 at 02:35 PM Posted April 16, 2019 at 02:35 PM - I wish Sony would give up the November release dates for her. I loved ANDHC and OH being released in the spring so I could listen to new Celine music during the summer. I agree!!! I have fond memories of those albums’ releases, as I was just learning to drive then. Nothing better than to pop on ANDHC and go for a spin, with the wind in my hair and the sun on my face. 😎 The release date fit the material: fresh, airy, new growth, youthful beats... 5 Quote
