That's just an assumption... in February Stephan Moccio posted a picture he was editing the song. The album will come, she might need to record a few more songs, or they need to be mixed off completely. We all hoped for a Spring release, but even last year they talked about a Fall release... so we have to be patient again.

A single could come out anytime soon, as well as the album. With the current music industry, you never know. Things now are even different than they were in 2016 (when EUS was released).

Celine was,is and will always be a ballad singer. Her career began with a ballad and it will end with a ballad. Since her career began shes been known as “ the woman with the big voice and even bigger ballads” all her best known hits are ballads and she delivers them amazingly. We cannot say Celine has to do these new songs (which she will) and to leave behind the foundations of her career. Her biggest fanbase, the majority, all know and love Celine for her ballads. It wouldnt be a Celine concert or album without ballads, people would be shocked and it would be misplaced. Im sorry but its the truth. I for one love ballads and i know not everyone does but its the matter of remaining true to oneself, and for Celine thats being bilingual, a mother and a ballad singer..... sorry

Céline is the queen of ballads but she has done a lot more than that. But since her biggest hits are ballads, well that's what the general public knows her for.

I have nothing against ballads but I just don't like that Diane Warren cheesy song by Leann Rimes (but I do like Leann).

So yes, more ballads to come in the new album but I also hope for some shake-your-booty songs with great remixes.

i agree but a lot of her audience are 40+ i think, they want classic Celine. Experimenting is okay but do not experiment too much. I like Tu Sauras but i wonder what the mainstream adult contemporary listeners expect..

I think the audience of celine is also getting younger, so it definitely wouldn't hurt to include a few uptempo dance songs.

 

But if you look at all her albums, their is always a uptempo dancy song.

But I hope this time around they go "all the way" with it.

Classic Céline won't make anyone today even care to look at the cover photo of her new album.

 

She can stay classic and bring a fresh and updated sound to her, at the same time, and that's what she badly needs.

 

It's been said a gazillion times here, but I think only an uptempo album with electronic sounds/arrangements or a dance hit single can save her from the oblivion and musical stagnation she has installed herself.

 

That or a concept quality album diving in some defined topic, her musical roots, the folklore of her country (like the 1f&4t sound) or an album in another language... (which ain't gonna happen at this stage unfortunately).

 

I said this too and as crazy as it may seem, I'm sure that if she were to record an album with an orchestra singing the old American songbook (as much as I despise covers), or an album of Tangos or Boleros singing in Spanish (like Gloria Estefan did recently), that would totally bring some attention back to her.

 

The thing is that she in a stage of her career and life that she doesn't need to prove anything vocally, so she should be fearless of doing these things. One thing I loved about the 2002/2003 era is that she had a rejuvenated ambition doing songs she had never done before, particularly when she recorded the album 1 fille $ 4 types: that album is not like any other she had done before. But she wasn't afraid of trying new things.

 

Now, reality shows she has well sat in her comfort zone and always goes back to the same production, and repeats the same thing album after album I reckon the song Loved Me Back To Life was an exception in the 2013 album, but it was the only exception, it was so short, it wasn't enough... She should have recorded a FULL album in that style, not just one song.

 

So I just hope that whatever she does this time, she goes FULL ahead all the way, and not stay halfway as always

She has like 30 albums with ballads, nobody is going to care about another album like that today (but her fans and not all of them I'm afraid) and also everyone is going to compare immediately with her glorius albums like FIY, LTAL etc and say "again more ballads? Again another tearful song? Not more of her thank you, we've had enough". And there you have the umpteenth ignored album of her in radios and stores, TV and everywhere.

 

If after all these years and all the changes in the music industry they have not realised she has to deliver something different after 30+ albums of the same music style, they're really dumb.

 

In another words, been there, done that! Move on! Renovate yourself!

Funny how ppl keep on talking the content of this album, while at this stage we don't even know if there will be an album. lol

 

She started talking about it years ago... and for all that we know it can take another 2 years.

 

I mean she is the boss, she doesn't care and she doesn't even want to talk about it (anymore).

 

Ppl keep on dreaming, talking, and blaming but we don't know s***.

The woman might be confused... she's going to be 50, that's her first album without any management, she maybe doesn't know what she wants to sing, she is maybe frustrated because she's not getting what she wants to do...

It might be painful for her too.

 

And ppl keep on projecting on her what they want or what they think the public wants her to do or talking her down.

 

Just stop pressuring. And be peaceful😁
