hahah the demands - no i agree tho. Im sick of her pretending to be everyone else in her english career.

Im excited for this album though coz i feel like shes really putting thought and time into it.

yes it is isnt it!! im trying but its really...the songs all kinda sound the same...and the lyrics are kind of annoying.

 

Move you and love so soft and that last song are really the only ones i bother with.

If only.... if only... she could make an English album just like her French ones.

I totally adore her French albums, although the English ones are ‘easier’ to sing along, because of better remembering the lyrics.

But most of the French songs seem perfect, they really suit her voice.

Wish the English songs had that too.

Wow if you think OH had a rushed promotion (most of the songs come from ANDHC which had one of the best productions she has ever had), then LMBTL was done like in the blink of an eye, with worst production and arrangements ever in songs like Unfinished Songs, Incredible, Save Your Soul etc. THAT was a rushed album lol

 

 

 

Just two things:

 

1. Videoclips are compulsory today. More than ever. She urgently needs to release again videoclips, or she will be nowhere to be seen in social networks. Period.

 

2. Taking Chances had good songs, and many radio friendly songs, but as usually, it's in the single selection of songs that they spoil it all. Eyes On Me was there, Surprise Surprise was there, Can't Fight The Feelin' was there, Fade Away... yet they used covers and the most insipid ones again. Having the right songs which are crying out to be sent to radios, they pick the wrong ones. This has been happening since 2002 when they sent GTSW to radios

 

They need to change that decision-making process and identify clearly which are the songs suitable for radio.

that's what I'm talking about!! Encore Un Soir video could've achieved the 100m Mark on YouTube, that's another waste

We all fell in love with Celine for these exact reasons ---- along with what a kind, humble person she is.

True.. even though there's no artists who sounds the same way for decades. She needs new things.

Not everything she does are imitations.. I thought Dind't Know Love or the song Loved Me Back To Life did sound great for here, it did suite her the way she did it. Water and a Flame felt different because she 'faked' her raspiness.

 

Also.. bare in mind that a lot of the technical perfection from the days you love so much is gone... like really gone... Celine doesn't sound like that anymore

Yes it is! I spotted it too. It seems they have like a songbook with all the songs she has recorded or a guidebook of her albums with the songs.

 

Anyway, whatever she's doing, I hope she's not just rehearsing new songs for the show!
