smw Posted October 26, 2017 at 12:55 AM Posted October 26, 2017 at 12:55 AM A spring 2018 release would be nice. It would probably ensure a #1 album too. It'd be nice to have another Celine number 1 on the Billboard chart! Falling Into You was a spring release.... What else was? And then she could promote the album with some sort of summer tour. And that would keep up the momentum of sales through the fall. 5 Quote

The bbc2 radio edit... i think they lower the voice of celine to blend with the music because in the original it's really too direct/loud. And they cut the long intro. Quote

I think by next year, the world will still be fascinated by Celine and overcoming hardship and being reborn as a fashion Icon as well as the greatest voice alive today. Can't wait to hear this album! browseceline Posted October 26, 2017 at 09:38 AM Posted October 26, 2017 at 09:38 AM I agree 100% with you!!! Taking Chances, One Heart, and Loved Me Back to Life don't get as much airplay as her 90s albums with me. But then again, her 90s albums had quality songs with her great voice, real instruments, great melody and lyrics. They were thinking of timeless, evergreen music when making those records. I can't really say that about TC, OH, and LMBTL. They were following a trend so those albums sound like time capsules. Her pretending to be Adele, Kelly Clarkson, and Britney Spears (musically speaking). Now don't get me wrong, there are a few good/great songs on each of those albums, such as Faith, Skies of LA, and Somebody Loves Somebody. But those albums are not any I would recommend to anybody to buy unless they already have all her 90s stuff. I want another timeless, evergreen album from Celine. I want quality songs that will not age as quickly as any trendy music that comes out. I want Celine to talk about her feelings in the lyrics, like ANDHC or ML, since this makes the album as autobiographical as were going to get from Celine unless she writes and records a song herself. I want songs she can easily translate to the stage, and sound just as good or better than the album version. Thinking about all the LMBTL and Incredible discussions we have had on here. I want her excited about the album, and willing to promote it and perform the songs in Vegas as well as in her mini tours! If that means a duet with Josh Groban, then I will take it!! Besides, I love Josh Groban's music so I am completely STOKED!! Basically i want encore un soir quality and yes i would like the see a timeless masterpiece with songs that can be her new signaturesongs Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G901F met Tapatalk 4 Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Popular Post smw Posted October 26, 2017 at 10:32 PM Popular Post Posted October 26, 2017 at 10:32 PM (edited) I totally agree that we need Celine's new English album to care less about being hip / keeping up with trends and MORE about being evergreen and timeless. So many of her albums --- all the way up until the A New Day Has Come album -- are full of timeless vocals and beautiful arrangements. I agree, we need to bring in some new Celine standards. Madonna and Cher created new classics around the age of 50. Shania just celebrated another number 1 album. Celine Dion can do the same! The general public wants Celine Dion to embrace her classiness and elegance. She is one of the only remaining Divas who's been around for decades and can still sing. Encore un Soir was stunning. This new English album should be too. Bring on the Josh Groban duet! Bring on an Adele duet! I want a new I Surrender and A New Day Has Come and some jazzy stuff too. I hope for more stunning songs on this new album. Beautiful songs with meaningful lyrics representing where she's at her in life and all that she's been through / accomplished --- and songs that showcase her pretty tone (not the edgy Granny voice stuff she's been trying out) as well as her soaring vocal abilities that we've clearly seen she's still capable of in Vegas and on her recent summer tours. Then... After she releases another big English album, she should record a new Holiday record! Edited October 26, 2017 at 10:36 PM by smw 9 Quote

It was fun to read your comments though. 😘 You think Celine still needs to “prove herself”? Oh goodness.... Spend some time learning about her career. And “everyone’s sick of the same old Celine”? Ummmmmm.... Well, I happen to admire Celine’s incredible work ethic, her many recent projects and concerts and recordings, & how her voice can still so crystalline and powerful after all these years. So I’m not exactly sick of her. And the fact that the general public is still selling out her shows is a good sign people aren’t sick of her. Also... Hardly any of the songs Celine’s recorded since the A New Day Has Come album have remained staples in her concerts. That speaks volumes. The vast majority of the general public didn’t seem to care much about the recent songs she’s recorded that were trying to sound hip. Celine is classy and has a one of a kind voice. Who cares about working with “hitmakers”? Her classic songs are epic ballads and love songs. She should continue embracing her untouchable gift with modern day versions of what she does better than anyone else. I would say the same for Mariah if she could still sing like she used to and Whitney Houston as well. I stand by everything I posted before. Edited October 30, 2017 at 08:21 AM by smw 5 Quote
Javito Posted October 30, 2017 at 08:16 AM Posted October 30, 2017 at 08:16 AM I reckon Céline doesn't have to proof herself anymore, in terms of her career, BUT she has to proof she still cares about her place in the industry with her next new album, delivering a solid, coherent and flowing album next year. Not the insipid attempt she made with LMBTL. And to prove that she still has something to say in the music industry, there wouldn't be a better chance than doing those project albums she wants (wanted) to do: the jazz album and the Spanish album. But it ain't gonna happen The old formula of English album/French album is way overdone and used up for her. Long ago she could have alternated these time lapses between album with doing other musical projects... 3 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
