Please no, but she recorded The Show Must Go On, so there might be a chance since she love Queen so much.

 

I want no covers, but if there has to be covers I'd rather want her to record and English version of one or two of her French songs.

I don't get the hate for Shania Twains new album. I ENJOY it! It's not her "Come On over " album just like Celine when she released LMBTL album it surely wasn't any "Falling Into You " quality lol

I hope before this year ends.. they'll release a single for the upcoming album. I hate it when céline fans always have to wait that long unlike other fans they can get a single right away. I'm curious about the 3 songs that Sia written for her and how the music will sound like. I hope it will be better and the vocals should blend with the music and not too autotune like in LMBTL album. The last album that really well produced (like sounding so natural) is the Taking Chances album. Her voice really blends with the music. That's why when she's belting it's not too direct and loud.

 

Compare Breakaway to Surprise Surprise and you'll hear what i meant to say. (When belting and blending with the voice to the instrumentals)

It doesn't need to be a whole "comeback project" but just a side thing, just because she likes it... and so do we.

LOL and I just want more covers. By proper songwriters.

 

And as for duets, I'd be all for - they bring in whole other audiences if selected well. (Just look what entire duets albums did for Tony Bennett's career, for instance.) But not when she releases one English album every 5 years. If she did this more frequently, by all means, do an entire duets album one year. But if we are to wait another 5 years for the next one... I really don't want to risk this being littered with more Incredible / Ne-Yo- type blunders just to desperately try to reach some new demo.

She did it with Miracle, I'm surprised Celine didn't realise there were other projects she could still do on the side. Although I think it was more realistic when Rene was around and healthy, she's done so much since her comeback in Aug 2015, fair more than expected actually. Maybe she'll get reminded of side projects once again over the next couple of years!

I don’t know Breakaway... (as I am discoverering everything past S’il suffisait d’aimer now....)

But I know immediately what you mean.

I love the sound of Surprise Surprise. Low voice, I am capable to sing along...

Those beautiful low / mid high sounds... without overdoing her voice. An album with a smooth voice... that’d be a very nice one.

No need to overrange with the C5 all the time.

Even in lower ranges she still blasts everyone away and no-one can reach that level Céline always achieves.

Celine's version (they deleted "you loved me back to")

Sia's Version

 

"You never gave up on me, YEAAAAAAHHH You love me back to LIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE LIIIIIIIIIIIFE from the coma the wait is over"

 

And the chorus parts every 2nd phrase of ("you loved me back to life") is much more powerful (like there is a double voice effect and louder) than the 1st phrase (Sia's version)

What was ruined at LMBTL?

 

After the bridge there are too many vocals and things sung together (it would've been great to hear the "uuuuh uuhh uhhh" much stronger without the "loved me back to life" ... and the bbc2 radio edit is better and even the las vegas one because it's more traditional (without the upbeat)... but that's my personal taste of course.
