Narada Posted December 3, 2013 at 10:13 PM Posted December 3, 2013 at 10:13 PM In a perfect world..Sony UK would have prepared a 2-track cd single with Breakaway and Open Arms as bonus track...would really help sales...probably too late with christmas so close to get the cd pressing plants to press them now...wasted opportunity but I hope Breakaway blasts into the Uk charts after SCD.. 1 Quote

Matias Posted December 4, 2013 at 12:49 AM Posted December 4, 2013 at 12:49 AM Ugh...worst choice as a single since "Goodbye's the saddest word"What about water and a flame? or even Thank you! No wonder her career is going down the drain!I have to say this presumption seems a little harsh. Why not wait to see how the single does before making such a claim? I think that Breakaway could do quite well in the UK. Its been proven that ballads are still quite big there, look at the success Adele had in a time when ballads were no longer taken seriously in the music industry around the world. This is a good choice I think and a nice followup to the lead single which was more edgy and modern which brought in a new generation of fans, I think Breakaway is enough like the old 90s Celine yet modern enough that it will appeal not only to her traditional fanbase but also to those new fans LMBTL has garnered because it is something a la Adele so to speak. 5 Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas

It looked like a bad single choice.. a song about her dead father, and what a big hit it turned out to be, as opposite to QPVSA which seemed like a more obvious single choice. Still, BREAKAWAY is a bomb, and really catchy!!! 3 Quote
Javito Posted December 4, 2013 at 09:07 AM Posted December 4, 2013 at 09:07 AM I still think that the great success of PAMP lies more on the hunger that french public had for a new Celine Dion album than on the "greatness" of the song. To me its a very so-so song. Should they have released QPVSA or another song and I'm sure it would have enjoyed similar success too, because people was really excited for new Celine music in french! 1 Quote "Hush, now... Didn't know love is one spot before and i think should be the 3rd single, so i don't think the track number matters but yes Thank You is the filler of fillers. though i've read a review (from idolator? not sure) that mentioned it as an "obvious single choice" ? oO Quote

It is a meaningfull song , something rare to find today. Others on the album may be better musically, but i think they have made a good choice with that one. The album is a great success. But it has not changed her image. I agree, and everyone didn't jump on the PAMP bandwagon on the first weeks or months of release. The song was a grower and made its way into the fans or general public's consciousness little by little. It's sometimes sleeper hits that make a much more lasting impact on the mainstream audience, hence helping carry the album to higher plateaus. Edited December 4, 2013 at 05:37 PM by LuisMa 1 Quote
