I do LOVE "Breakaway" even more than "Incredible" but I think "Incredible IS the best choice for the next single in terms of what should be more successful. Either way there better be a music video.

I don't have any hopes... It's Celine Dion. Nothing will change:( Good times are gone as far as the charts are concerned....

after a TOP 15 hit in the UK and 3rd biggest week for a female artist this year do u really believe that?

breakaway is a perfect choice, so powerful! We must have two videos .. and she doesn't even need to be part of it.completely.. make a beautiful and artistic video for breakaway where she doesnt need to invest so much time and one for Incredible where her and neyo give it all.

 

For instance Rolling in the deep, don't tell me Adele spent so much time filming that video, she is just seated on a chair, no costume change.. and the video is great

I've been listening to this song a lot lately, even though it reminds me of my past. Her vocals are just amazing! I'm so glad this will be released in the UK!! :) And I'm hoping for some bootlegs if she does perform this! ;)

This is great news! This song is amazing, yes it´s true after big expectation with great single LMBTL it would be better not expectated too much ... but I´m so happy this is single. If there will be video /really not sure but still hope/ I will be more than happy.

So you guys think I should update the topic title to 'Official UK (or European) Second Single' or wait for a while and see which other regions are added? From what I heard, even Australia is getting this as the second single instead of 'Incredible' :hmm:

She hasn't performed it so far : neither for the special of last Saturday nor for the next 2 upcoming appareances ( "Vivement dimanche" and "Les chansons d'abord").

 

Céline has a full evening TV show and her team is not even album to let her "sing" the second single of her album.

 

They picked "At seventeen".

 

How professional is that?

 

This means she'll probably perform it during the ''Sans Attendre Tour'', so we might get an actual live version of the song! How awesome would that be!

 

I don't think she will. I mean being the new single doesn't mean anything. Back in 1999, she didn't even sing the lead single off SSDA ( "Zora sourit"), so...

 

The "Sans attendre Tour" won't even include "Attendre".

 

I bet she will sing "LMBTL" and "WAAF".

You have a point. Celine did perform 'Zora Sourit' when it was released as a single though. She didn't include it in the francophone leg of her tour which is another thing. Strange, but it is not like she missed the chance of promoting it which will be the case if she does not perform 'Breakaway' now. What negatively surprises me is the fact that we have no setlist and the first concert is tomorrow. :mellow: Edited by LukeD

That solely speaks volumes of how coherent her career is today. Let's see what she performs these next days, but a "Sans Attendre" tour about her "Sans Attendre" album and without "Attendre" is plain ridiculous :innocent:

I'm pretty positive that this song will chart in the UK top 40 after the performance. That's all that matters to me at this stage!

ahahhahahaha, well maybe they don't consider it "concert" material, i don't find it that weird, but performing breakaway (since its the next single) is a must, doubt it will happen though

Oh yes? And surely "La mer et l'enfant" was born to be performed on concerts eh? :doh:Or even Attendre has more "concert appeal" than S'il Suffisait D'aimer or Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour :innocent:
