The show had an extra song, that night : "Friend of Mine", sung by Barnev !

I wouldn’t exactly say that’s a bonus lol

Well, about Mariah’s All I Want For Christmas Is You became popular again because of her fans making it trend again on social media. And doing that “#justicefor..” glad it’s over. Kinda embarrassed for them for doing that.

I don’t know about Céline fans if they can do it too. Kinda weak in social media part honestly…..

AIWFCIY has gone number one for the past 3 years though. It’s beloved classic regardless of that too. I will never understand the feuds between different artists’ fans. There is room to celebrate them all. Whether or not you care for Mariah’s music, her talent and do music have made a significant impact in the industry.

My issue with Mariah is her feuding with other artists - and then that tends to trickle down to her core fan base. In some ways, it reminds me of Trump supporters. All she cares about is being #1.

And the fact that she put down Celine - the nicest woman in the music industry - in her memoir. She was trying to rewrite history regarding the Aretha moment at Divas Live.

I loved Mariah’s music when I was a kid. But, based her her behaviors over the years, it’s hard to respect her as a person.

And didn’t Mariah do more dirty work behind the scenes during the 90s?

Yeah! Because of her fans doing that #justicefor. That’s what I’m amazed by Mariah’s fans. They will do whatever they can to trend Mariah on social media

Yep, people can call that embarrassing but the reality is they sometimes get what they want. When they did the #Justice4Glitter it went #1 on iTunes, she went in Jimmy Fallon’s show to talk about it and included a medley on tour of songs of the album, never sung before.

Some of us would die for Celine to do something like that!

So… is the celebration over? We got some videos uploaded to YouTube and orange vinyl?

No deluxe version of the album? No bonus tracks?

That was a disappointing anniversary.

Baby steps! This is how I feel about this. They finally started uploading stuff on YT which showed some engagement and subscribers' numbers went up. That's good.

However, yeah, bonus tracks would be amazing!

Sorry for writing it above but does anyone have TTWII's recording of the last concert of the LTAL tour?

You mean the Millenium Concert?

You mean the Millenium Concert?

No, I meant the concert at Sunrise on November 5, 1999, this should be the last official concert of the LTAL tour

TTWII from the Let's Talk About Love Sunrise show was recorded by a guy called Youth. He's the same guy who recorded the Indianapolis show. It seems he recorded the entire show actually but didn't share it because the audio quality wasn't that good but he shared TTWII since it was brand new at the time and Celine's current single.

He used to have a Celine fansite where he sold the Indianapolis show on CD, I ordered the show from him back then but this was 20 years ago now and it's long defunct. I always remember his site because it was dedicated to "Feline Lion" and it stuck in my mind lol...

The MP3 was shared a lot at the time on the mailing lists and the early forums, I had it in my collection for years but it was lost. I have no idea how it doesn't get shared these days as loads of people must have it, how could it just vanish? Some of the longer term fans must surely still have it somewhere!

I hope someone who has been on this forum for a long time has this and wants to share it

I spoke to another fan the other day that used to have it, but they don’t have it anymore either. I think a lot of fans need to try to come together again to find boot legs, just as I imagine they did in the early days.

Her tone is exquisite on this song. 3:39 onward is sublime. It’s songs like these that remind me that she’s a legend. She would’ve been huge no matter what era she lived in.

I sent the MP3 to you. Does he have any known contact information? Is it at all possible to find archives of that sight like you did with the other trading sites?

I'm sure it -along with a trove of other rare gems- is safely stored on a floppy disk somewhere in the world. :giggle:

The lyrics are cheesy and bland, but 90s Celine saves it with her voice. She has better songs on the album.

Agreed. I never gravitated to this song because of the lyrics. But I recently gave it another listen after a long time, and appreciated just how gorgeous her singing is on it.

Be the Man is the worst song on LTAL for me.

Followed closely by Where is the Love. Just standard generic ballads that dont have any thing to set them apart the way the other ballads in the album do.

Lol sadly you’re probably right. We can add Tokyo 1997 to that list, along with the person who has a fan recording of Brussels. Same with a few LTAL dates and 2 from 1992 tour.

“Where Is The Love” is lyrically breathtaking. It has a beautiful message that’s honestly quite relevant right now. And her delivery is fab. I don’t think she needs to be screaming her head off in every ballad for the song to be good.

Why Oh Why is my least favorite song on the album. I wish Send Me A Lover was included instead.
