I thought there would be a clip of Dana Parish previewing Always Be Your girl, but i guess there isn't going to be any news tonight.

I'm going to toronto tomorrow and i won't be back for atleast a week and i won't have any internet access, so i hope i won't be missing out on to much info on the forum. I will sure miss my Celine fix!!

 

I checked on youtube and there was nothing new on Dana Parish. I really hope we get to hear the song tonight. I have been jumping off the walls with excitment!! I will try to stay awake for a few more hours, cuz i really don't want to wait for a week to hear the song.

i don't agree with that; I have been to the sticky and sweet tour.. and that show ROCKED! yes the album was not the best. But what about Confessions on the Dancefloor? love that album! It is true what Javito said; Madonna fighted to keep that audience and her music fresh. In fact she does it each time she releases a new album. Celine does not care, she leaves everything to Rene and trusts him and his (old) producingteam for 100%. And it is true what you say in here that since Celine decided to do Vegas ( and again) the radiostations don't care about her anymore.. and she doesn't care for it either. She is happy with her familylive nowadays, she has the children she always wanted, and I think if she got the chance to quit Vegas, she would, I really think she would. But she is already contracted for a long time..

The Sticky and Sweet tour should have been renamed "The Tourette's Tour" Every so often she would just scream an obscenity in the middle of a song which would have nothing else to do with what was going on around her. It really was terrible.

Well I agree that I liked the confessions tour more, only have seen that one on my tv, however, the Sticky and Sweet Tour I have seen in Amsterdam was a great show. The screaming and obscenity was not there and she sang live most of the time. The only obscenity I can think of is that suit/underwear she was wearing. But again the show was great in my opinion. A lot better than the album itself.

Madonna enjoyed the show and the crowd was singing happy birthday to her, since that day it was her birthday, and she really liked it and gave her best that night. When I compare that with the dvd/bluray of the sticky and sweet tour, i prefer that Amsterdam show..

Also she recorded The Diva and Il Diva (English and Italian versions of La Diva, from the D'elles album). Some of the songs Celine has written over the years and that remain unreleased 'till date (she might not even have recorded them on the studio) are called Isabella and Drop by Drop.

I agree. If the song was selected as the one that made the final cut, Rene and Sony wouldn't allow for its prior posting by Parish. It might be as simple as that.

Besides, I'd rather wait until April, though it is hard, to hear the whole English album, not bits by bits. That would spoil the surprise.

As for the Madonna / Celine releasing albums at the same time thing, well Celine is very much an albums artist these days so there's no need to worry about singles etc clashing as any Celine singles wont get much exposure whereas sadly Madonna's will get maximum exposure. Just the way it is these days.

 

Remember that "Hard Candy" was released in April and sold 280,000 copies in its first week in the USA. "Taking Chances" was released two weeks before Thanksgiving and it opened with 214,000 copies. So, if both release their albums in the same week, Madonna is a good contender.

 

Any album by either artist being released in April will struggle to reach 500k sold when all is said and done.

There is really going to be a new album this time?? I haven't checked these threads about new albums for a loooong time, cause I felt like the information just keeps changing and "new albums" get postponed and no one knows anything for sure, and it's just a disappointment after disappointment. But I'm SUPER excited if this is really true this time..!
