I'm not surprised either, but in the space of the last month, they have chosen songs, and have had the writers/producers do their bit ( instrumental sections/ backing vocals, etc ) and have already been booked to fly to Vegas to meet with Celine, Rene, Humerto etc, and fine tune things/ try things and record them, and I'd say as Celine and Humberto are such perfectionists at what they do, there is little editing/cutting before we get the final album... so don't worry

 

And if anyone can do it, Celine can!

It's in moments like this when I blame Vegas the most I raised hopes that she would have recorded this album with her rested voice now, sharp and clean. What on Earth has stopped her to record the songs this time?? Wasn't that she had a recording studio in her new house too? :glare:

There's also the question of shooting the videoclips that would support the singles from the album. I can't really imagine when she'd have time to do that.

Yeah... because if shooting ONE videoclip seems to take this marathonian eternity of effort that makes it look almost impossible to have a good video, I can't even imagine 2 or even 3 videoclips for a new album of hers today It's really THAT hard to do these things for her today?

 

But who knows, One Heart was done in just one day, just as Et S'il N'en Restait Qu'une, and this was a nice one

That's assuming the album will 100% be released in April? Of course with the Titanic re-release that makes sense but since when have Sony done anything that made sense?

Celine should take this more serious I mean, she said NOVEMBER was going to be the month in which the recording sessions would start. I hate it when a celebrity says something to his/her fans and then doesn't do it. It just gets our hopes up for nothing.

I'm assuming they're still going with an April release. Celine is off from her show in April/May and returns for a run June/July/August, so really for promo it's the only period to release the record.

With this new albums sometimes it really seems they don´t know what to do, but let´s hope that finally they will surprise us with great album.

Sadly an album with 10 cover versions from the Vegas show and 2 new tracks will not be a surprise.

 

An album full of fresh relevant material will be very much a surprise.

Promoting new album equals being away from the kids more often (not just for 2 hours a day). I think because of that she's kinda unwilling (or not so eager, to say at least) to start the promotion of the new album, visit other countries or appear on TV shows. She might simply prefer to be in one place, have her daily job (Vegas concerts) and not be bothered by her record company or the fans and their high expectations.

Rene needs to get her out of her contract with Sony then and they need to set up their own record label so they never need to worry about record label commitments again. Sony pay her millions of dollars to be part of their label and in return they expect her to sell records and i'm sure, quite rightly, that behind the scenes they are beginning to demand new material. Part of the deal is she has to promote those records across the world. That's what having a record deal involves.

 

If Celine doesn't want to do any of that and instead spend her life in Vegas performing and raising her children (and there's nothing wrong with that by the way) then she should just walk away from Sony and stop the illusion of being an active international singer and instead focus on the Vegas showroom.
