Here's the chart run for "Et S'il Ne Restait Qu'une (Je Serais Celle-Là)", Luke. :)

 

In fact, it only stayed 10 consecutive weeks inside the Top 40, starting from its debut:

"Parler A Mon Pere" is a hit in the old school way. Slowly climbing up the charts. I'm sure it's gonna be inside the top 20 on its 27th week.

 

I think we're looking at another milestone in Céline's career.

Ok guys, this is my cover of "Attendre".

 

Bloody difficult song! It sounds sorta bad :P Still wanted to give it a try.

 

Thank you for recording this and sharing with us. I thought that you did a great job singing the song. It certainly couldn't have been easy.

Thanx! PAMP does so much better, it has sold 52k in France which means it should be certified Gold.

 

I reckon it will become her longest running single. :xmas_happy:

When the song came out I wasn't really crazy 'bout it. I was happy 2 hear smth new from Celine but i wasn't that happy 'bout the song itself. But my boyfriend who'd never give a damn for Celine Dion in a GAZILLION years was like "seriously? this is a great and a catchy song, people gonna luv it". And now everytime i listen PAMP he's like "i've told ya"))) this song is amazing, it grew on me. it has an immensily deep meaning actually.

Love comes to those who believe it...

Céline Dion en nomination aux Victoires de la musique

La chanteuse québécoise fait partie de la liste des nommées dans la catégorie meilleure artiste interprète féminine en vue des 28e Victoires de la musique, le gala français de l'industrie musicale. La cérémonie aura lieu le 28 février.

 

La chanteuse, qui a lancé l'album Sans attendre le 2 novembre dernier, a été récompensée à trois reprises aux Victoires. Elle amorce mercredi une série de 23 concerts en un peu plus de 2 mois au Caesars Palace, à Las Vegas.

 

Selon le Bureau de Francine Chaloult, responsable des relations avec la presse de Céline Dion au Québec, il n'est pas prévu pour l'instant que la chanteuse assiste au gala des Victoires.

 

Lou Doillon, Françoise Hardy et La Grande Sophie sont les autres nommées dans cette catégorie.

 

Benjamin Biolay, Dominique A, M et Orelsan sont les artistes en nomination dans la catégorie meilleur artiste interprète masculin.

 

Les artistes nommés ont été choisis par 600 votants de l'industrie musicale française.

 

Cette année, l'animation des Victoires sera assurée par Laurent Ruquier et Virginie Guilhaume. Le gala se tiendra au Zénith de Paris et sera diffusé à la télévision sur France 2, ainsi que sur le web.

Yes, I know what you're saying. People arround me who aren't into Celine's music liked the song AND the music video! I guess that's because Celine avoided all the things that make her ''un-cool'' and ''boring'' to the masses, like big notes, dramatic vocal embellishments & overproduced arrangements (of course, we still love all these lol). The music video of ''Parler a mon Pere'' is very fresh and she looks cool & pretty. In my opinion, the 600.000 people who bought her album in France, are not just her typical fans who would buy any of her records. I think this album gathered a larger audience, outside her hardcore fan base, which is amazing, given the fact she's 44 years and way past her prime. The ''Taking Chances World Tour'' gave me the exact same impression... that Celine managed to get some new fans.

 

Back to the song, I loved it when I first listened to the 30'' preview back in July and I still love it. The lyrics go deep, her perfomance is subtle and the melody is addictive. I have been saying this here (you can see it in my first posts lol) that the song had potential to be a hit and I'm glad I'm proven right. I hope it stays in the charts more than ''Pour que tu m'aimes encore''. :)

Good idea! I chose ''La Voix Du Bon Dieu'' cause it was recorded with her family (1982 Version), so it'd fit the albums message.

Since "Sans attendre" has reached a tremendous success in Francophone countries, I think it would be great if this kind of show could also be performed outside these countries. What about a mini-tour in Europe (like she did with "D'eux") with basically all the songs from "Sans attendre" + some of her everlasting international hits (WDMHBN, TT, MHWGO & IA)?

Once she's in Vegas I think that everything else is pushed back or they simply don't think about anything else :down: , but if it can't be a mini tour, I would seriously think to do another TV show to celebrate the sales of the album, something between a TV special and a concert, but this time, a show that it is exclusively dedicated to the album songs and where she sings the majority of them (if it can't be the 16 songs). That would be pleasing to see and that way she would give a chance to all of the album songs to be presented on the stage :)

That's why I said if it can't be a mini tour, then an unique show-concert could do the job ^_^ I'm not the one talking and dreaming here of that supposed Sans Attendre mini tour in France this year! ;)
