stone Posted December 17, 2012 at 05:50 PM Posted December 17, 2012 at 05:50 PM Anyone else wish she would've went for full chest voice towards the build-up of Attendre instead of the falsetto notes? I really like the build up but the falsetto kind of flatten out the climax for me. I just felt there could be more to the progression of this song musically speaking. Quote

I just felt there could be more to the progression of this song musically speaking. i like the fact that she doesn't use strong chest voice because it lets the song , the lyrics, the music do most of the work. There is this nice crescendo to her interpretation as well, but she keeps it as understated as possible. It is like ,for me , with this album, she trusts the songs more and she trusts her instincts too . She does what she thinks is the best for each song, and it gives this great result. I like this album more ans more, it speaks to me. Edited December 17, 2012 at 06:14 PM by québecflower Quote Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

LukeD Posted December 18, 2012 at 10:39 AM Posted December 18, 2012 at 10:39 AM I don't know if it happens to you too, but "Sans Attendre" sounds to me like an album would a lot of songs that could have fitted on different old Celine albums... Even from the early era. What do you think? - Parler A Mon Pere (1 Fille et 4 Types)- Le Miracle (C'Est Pour Toi)- Qui Peut Vivre Sans Amour (D'elles)- Attendre (D'eux)- Une Chance Qu'On S'a (S'il Suffisait D'aimer)- La Mer Et L'Enfant (1 Fille Et 4 Types)- Moi Quand Je Pleure (C'est Pour Toi)- Celle Qui M'a Tout Appris (D'elles)- Je n'ai Pas Besoin D'amour (Dion Chante Plamondon ... Except for the voice that sounds different)- Si Je N'ai Rien De Toi (D'Elles)- Que Toi Au Monde (On Ne Change Pas... And it reminds me a lot of Ma Nouvelle France)- Tant de Temps (Dion Chante Plamondon)- Les Petits Pieds de Lea (S'il Suffisait D'Aimer)- Ne Me Quitte Pas (A L'Olympia)- Les Jours Comme Ça (1 Fille Et 4 Types) I'd say Moi quand je pleure is taken from ''Tellement J'ai D'amour''. It reminds me of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6XPbg3tHj8 1 Quote

Its weird how with most of her albums we feel ecstatic the first days and then we grow tired of them, and with this one almost everyone has experienved the same thing: 6 weeks after its release we love it even more, we even like the songs we didn't care for that much at the beggining. How weird is that? 3 Quote

smw Posted December 19, 2012 at 07:01 PM Posted December 19, 2012 at 07:01 PM This album's promotion cannot stop once she's back in Vegas. She can easily continue performing and giving interviews via satellite. I hope she balances Vegas with work on the making the new English record as solid as possible -- as well as the continuation of promoting Sans Attendre (her strongest, most thoughtful album in YEARS). The promotion can't stop. I'd rather wait longer for the new English record to continue pushing this current one. With more LIVE performances of these beautiful new songs. If she doesn't sing them live now, she never will. 6 Quote

If she doesn't sing them live now, she never will. 100% true. But that's exactly what happened since she installed herself in Vegas, to our desperation and disappointment. Since she began her shows in Las Vegas, everytime she returned there, the album promotions were over. Finished. Adiós. Sadly but true. No more singles released by Sony, no more videoclips, no more support to the album promotion. And there's no reason to cancel this, all of a sudden, like they've done. But unfortunately, it's been like that with each and every album she has released since One Heart, with the exception of the videos she shot in the Vegas desert. They could easily shot 3 more videos here and there and release more singles, but we know that once she's in Vegas, they don't care anymore about the CD she's just released 3 Quote "Hush, now... In his own words, he just told me "without setting a precedent, I LIKE that song you were singing" (and of course I was like , "you mean that one of Céline I just played?"  ) If you knew my brother a little, saying that he likes ONE Céline Dion song is like asking water from the moon and then put it all in a glass. My brother can't stand Céline, for 12 years he has mockered about her, always criticising and making practical jokes about her, and never admiting he liked a song even in the slightest way. So to me, after 12 years of being a fan, this means a lot hahaha. It's historic to me that he has told me that. I think I will try giving him the translation of the song, maybe he likes it even more then So to me, there's no question now: Attendre MUST be a single, deserves to be promoted and deserves to have a videoclip! If my brother, the biggest anti-Celine fan in Spain has told me he likes the song, the song must be REALLY something! Harys Brilliants Posted December 20, 2012 at 06:06 AM Posted December 20, 2012 at 06:06 AM I agree. Attendre is a great song. It can be the masterpiece, it has something special, the melody, build up, changes of key, amazing special lyric (started by verbal words, finished by same sounding words), the energy, emotion, etc. It's better than 3rd song, which i don't really like (it's not the real celine at all). If they released in a great timing, followed by many promotion (live performances), accompanied with a great-everlasting-creative-meaningfull video, it can be the new PQTME. please, choose it as the next single, not the 3rd song from this album. 5!!! Not 3!!! 5 Is celine's lucky number. and this album was released at november 5th, right? Please, we must do something. 3rd song from this album is not celine at all. Quote

I know how you feel. My siblings and father were also anti Celine, and then I heard my brother singing "Your Light", my sister whistling "Misled", and this past november that I went back home, my father asked me to show him how to download videos, and I asked him which one he wanted first, and he said, that Celine Dion video where she appeared with a mouse. At least there's a small Celine seed now in each of them. My mother is such a supporter that she always asks me about her, the twins, her career. She loved "Parler À Mon Père", and I'm getting her "Sans Attendre" with some other things this Christmas. 2 Quote

I'm fed up of seeing other singers directly asking to their fans in the social networks "which song would you like to be the next single?", and just this morning I saw another example with a very famous spanish singer who has just released a new album... but it never happens with Céline! They don't care at all, and its precisely HERE where they could show they count on us, that we are an important part of her success. But they just don't care Can't the official site put someday in the news section a poll to ask us what song we want to be the next single for one of her albums? Is that hard to ask? Will we ever see that gesture from their part? Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
