Javier_Natalio Posted November 28, 2012 at 02:52 AM Posted November 28, 2012 at 02:52 AM ok I know that this isn't about the Sans Attendre (that I love if I may say) but I just search everywhere and dind't find, if someone please can send me somehow the studio version duet with Claude Dubois of "Si dieu existe" I'll be sooo happy...Can someone help me on this? And again I know this isn't the correct topic for it but just this once...help? You're better off with the live "St. Justine" version!! And keeping with the singles discussion, I hope Attendre becomes a single. I know it's not very likely since she has yet to introduce it in one of her promo appearances, but I can still dream. Quote

chrisel Posted November 29, 2012 at 10:52 PM Posted November 29, 2012 at 10:52 PM If i may I would like to add my comments on Celine's new album, even though it's a little late.First of all, I have to say I enjoy this album big time. It's full of interesting melodies, beautiful lyrics and I love the way that Celine plays with her voice on this album. Not many big powerful notes, which doesn't bother me at all, but new sounds that I've never heard from Celine before. The only track I skip is Tant de temps, which like most of you I find too boring. But i have to admit Celine sounds great on this song.My favourite songs are: Qui peut vivre sans amour?, Je n'ai pas besoin d'amour, Le miracle and Les petits pieds de Léa. But I also enjoy the other songs too. Now, comparing this album with her previous more "recent" works I can't say it tops S'il suffisait d' aimer or D'eux yet. But it's close enough to 1 fille & 4 types which is a great album for me. D'elles even though it was an artistic album it was a little "forgettable". Sorry..Also, the thing with Sans attendre is that I like it as a whole. There is no song that is way better than the others. They are all to the same very good level. Maybe that's the reason why none of them has entered my personal top 5 list of favourite french songs. Well, overall it's a 9 out of 10! 1 Quote Time flies...

LuisMa Posted December 4, 2012 at 05:02 PM Posted December 4, 2012 at 05:02 PM anybody think this album will get nominated for the next juno awards?? anybody know when the nominations are out??? According to the JUNO website, The eligibility period for the 2013 JUNO Awards is between September 1, 2011 and November 13, 2012. So, Celine has the possibility of receiving nominations. The International Album of the Year and Album of the Year categories are due January 11, 2013. So the actual ceremony may take place between February and March of 2013. Quote

Even the duets and I'm not a duet kind of gal! (Except for Tant de temps blah) I agree with you "DionFanAlways". I sometimes don't want to listen to Tant de Temps, and I sometimes want to skip the song, but I usually go ahead and listen to it. It rather amazes me that I tend to like it when I do. There's still something about the song that is very nice and relaxing. 3 Quote

There's still something about the song that is very nice and relaxing. I like Tant de temps too It's perfect for closing the album. It has a sort of melancholic feeling that the first times I also wanted to skip the song, but it ended up catching me. "Why I've fallen so low, being such an ordinary person. In my hands there's nothing else but bread for birds. I'm so afraid of the ghosts of happiness... Oblivion falls upon us" The song captivates, and the melody sounds like one of those timeless classic songs you've heard once but can't remember where or when 4 Quote "Hush, now... smw Posted December 9, 2012 at 05:02 PM Posted December 9, 2012 at 05:02 PM About Vegas and Sans Attendre and Water and a Flame: This album is a representation of what Celine is still capable of if she (and her team) take the proper amount of time. Anything worthwhile takes time. I have gained more perspective on Celine's life during the initial Vegas show, A New Day… I watched the Oprah interviews with Celine leading up to the Vegas show (in 2002) and once the Vegas show premiered (in 2003). You can see how hard Celine worked and how nervous she was. She was almost a different person during that first year in Vegas. She worked her #ss off -- and her life was consumed by that show. A New Day… was an unbelievably daunting feat! No other performer has tackled anything quite like it -- and history will continue to shed light on what a gamble it was and how much it really did change entertainment history. I know we are all sick of Vegas and how it seems to hold her back. But I think she's proud of what she's accomplished in that town. And I'm thankful she is still pursuing other projects. It's obvious that the new show isn't as consuming as A New Day… was. Because Sans Attendre is spectacular. She is exploring with her voice more than she has since her vocal prime. You can just tell that a lot of love, passion, and time went into this album's creation. Not just on Celine's part -- but in the lyrics and arrangements. I hope this same sort of magic will be present for Water and a Flame. I still believe Falling Into You to be Celine's greatest English album. She recorded some of those tracks in Jamaica -- and not all of the songs follow a traditional pop song formula. There are surprises, vocally, on that album. While that sort of magic still existed in many of her French songs since, it has gotten sort of lost in English. Celine, like with Sans Attendre, needs to take her time. 3 Quote
