I have to say that, for me, "Fade Away" and "Shadow of Love" are probably the weakest parts of the show.

 

"Love Can Move Mountains" and "River Deep Mountain High" are superb though, along with "I'm Alive."

I watched both concerts! I definitely think the french one is better! First because it features AMAZING songs we haven't heard live from many years such as "L'amour Existe Encore" (fantastic performance), "Destin", "Je Sais Pas" (the very last note was an obvious playback), "S'il Suffisait d'Aimer"... I went crazy while watching "Et S'il N'en Restait Q'une (Je Serais Celle-La)", i'm CRAZY about this song and her live rendition was breathtaking as well! The performances of "My Love" and "My Heart Will Go On" are also better on this concert. "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" was a real mess - boring and she seemed like she can't sing anymore for that night. It's sad, 'cause this song is GREAT!

 

About the Boston one - "The Power Of Love", "Eyes On Me" and "River Deep Mountain High" are great! I liked "Fade Away" and "Taking Chances" too. I'm so tired of the medley, it's very nice again, but it's the same as the Vegas one, which i watched like a billion times and so i was a bit annoyed while watching it on here. "The Show Must Go On" and "It's A Man's Man's Man's World" are GORGEOUS (on both shows)! Really nice choice these covers, she rocked with them! "Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore" was better on this concert, although not the way it would be. "All By Muself" was OK, in my opinion.

Nice choreography and nice outfits! And brilliant superstar presence on stage by Celine, which is the next best thing in her after her voice! Overall she did it great again!

 

I strongly recommend the FRENCH concert!

She really likes to get into that song when she's on stage. And she has her moment on the wing with her guitarist

 

I'm a big Alone fan, I don't know why. It was one of my favorites during the show and I love how she performed it live. I was definitely satisfied with the version we got on the DVD/CD

For the french DVD I know that alot of the performances are the same but are there different camera angles at at for any of the same performances such as taking chances, i drove all night or the show must go on? Anything to make it look atleast somewhat different than the boston dvd?

About that particular thing i should say - this is a Monston concert yes "My Love" and "My Heart Will Go On" are different, but the rest of the songs that are on both concerts - they seem the same to me (at some points it's obvious). Buying both DVDs certainly's only for DIE HARD fans (like me). In other cases better only one of the two (in my opinion - the french).

I've watched the English one a couple times now and am still waiting for the French version in the mail. My honest opinion? FREAKING AMAZING. This concert is just absolutely everything I could have hoped for. I can't believe the difference between this and her Vegas show. She just seems like an animal that was let out of her cage this time around. So much more free and she seems so happy and care free. She looked GORGEOUS during the show, I think better than she's ever looked in her life. Her outfits, her hair, her makeup, everything about her was stunning.

 

As a whole, I just loved the entire experience of watching and listening to her. I'm not going to nitpick her vocals. I actually think as a whole she sounded awesome. She had some great vocal moments and then some fantastic vocal moments for me. I wasn't unhappy with any of the songs. Highlights for me were Taking Chances, I'm Alive, All By Myself, Fade Away, Alone, My Love, River Deep Mountain High, PQTME, It's a Man's World, The Prayer, and The Show Must Go On (I know I just practically listed the entire set list). There were a couple short moments that really stood out that I loved. When she was singing PQTME and she winked at the camera, and in the middle of Shadow of Love when she said "indeed." I LOVE that! And you could really tell that even 30 years in the game, the crazy applause still makes her giddy. I loved that she restarted My Love because the guy screamed out. That moment was awesome. The speech before is definitely contrived because she said it night after night, but the moment after she started and had to stop was genuine and awesome.

 

I thought the actual filming of the show was fantastic. The shots and camera angles were great. I thought it was so much better filmed than the Vegas DVD, though they had a huge advantage this time around with being able to film from every single side, whereas Vegas was just from the front really.

 

I can't wait to see the French version! I'm so happy with everything, the DVD, the CD, and the documentary are all so amazing. We are so lucky!

After watching this like 5 times already...most footage is from Montreal...except for the songs that weren't sung there obviously

Exactly! You've just described it in the best way The introductory video of Céline "escaping" from Vegas in her car, an open desert road in front of hear, has much more meaning now when you see the DVD In short, it means "I'M FREE" (for now). I just loved it, the whole experience

Yeah, I'm so happy with that too, and we have to thank that to the central stage they used The possibilities it offered were almost countless, and add to that the dancers she had this time (she hadn't any in LTAL), tha platforms and the sliding belts in all the sides of the stage Just perfect
