OMG! I watched the DVD for the first time today and I could have cried! I absolutely love the new version of The Power Of Love. This is my favourite song in English and I am absolutely delighted to hear it sung differently after all these years! I cannot tell you how excited I was - I was squealing in delight all the way through!

 

I also love Fade Away, I'm Alive and especially The Prayer, which is another favourite. I know it means we have no Think Twice but The Prayer live is an excellent substitute!

 

I realise the show was filmed over two nights but can anyway explain the disappearance of the bald male dancer at the end of the concert. He appears throughout but is not present for River Deep, Mountain High. Did he have his accident in Boston? If not, I suspect that not all the footage is from these shows...

 

Enlighten me if you can...

I think my favourites on the DVD were Taking Chances, My Love, Eyes On Me and Show Must Go On.. :wub:

I watched the English concert and I don't know why, but I'm a bit dissapointed. I was looking forward to hearing some of the new songs and I really have to say that except for ''Taking Chances'' and ''My Love'' (''Eyes on Me'' does not count) the rest was just a mess. Anyways, I'll wait for the French concert before I say more, but at this stage I'm more impressed with the movie.

The "montreal" show is magic. There is a nice blend of uptempo, power ballads, and emotional ballads, old and new songs. It has more sincerity and spontaneity than the Boston show.

 

And for the bald guy disapearing: though the tracklists are fairly from montreal or Boston, the video footage is a mix of both shows, hence they are known as the Monston DVD and the Boreal DVD. That's why you can see the bald guy who snaped a ligament in montreal appearing and disapearing during the show, and iside the songs themselves. Eg: on eyes on me, the brunette is being held by the bald guy (aaron) and his substitute ....

The french concert is simply amazing! I loved every song and i'm so glad that she didnt perform TPOL, BYLM, IACBTMN in montreal...

 

Best moments were Destin, Sil nen restait qune, Dans un autre monde, im alive, queen medly, pour que tu maimes encore... oh forgot eyes on me... (they didnt include in on the tracklist but in the dvd menu :D haha... clever)

 

cant wait to see my fav english songs... fade away will be great :D and the movie bd is comming tuesday... OMG i'm so excited

JUst got mine today, watching it again for the second time. I LOVE IT, I have no problems with it.....ITs amazing.

 

Celine is Beautiful

TPOL is amazing, even if we know the truth most others will think its live and love it

ABM is the best track ever in the world

 

Does anyone else think that she and Andre coutu have so much chemistry an.....SHHHH but i think they love each other lol :wub: :wub: :wub:

 

Anyway I totally love it, this is the best concert yet :whee: :whee: :whee: :whee: :whee: :whee:

i just finshed watching both of them and she was amazing. Celine has one powerful voice and i loved it. My favorite song on the concert My love. "I think its going to be harder to sing live than in the recording studio" i just adore celine so much

I just watched the English concert. The filming, editing, and angles used were impressive. It really captured the show very well. I was disappointed that the speech was not included. Why would they do that?? :( Looking forward to seeing the French version.

 

Got mine from Amazon yesterday and just finished watching both. :clap: Very well done but come on Sony you can do better as far as storage goes. For those that are concerned about a glitch at 1 hr and 3 minutes just before The Prayer, it's not a glitch, this is a double layer DVD and it's just switching layers at that point. It does it on my DVD player but not in my Blu-Ray player. Just a FYI.

Yeah, I was surprised to find out that they only used 5.6GB on the DVD. As a result, the picture is a little soft. There is almost 4GB more to fill up. :pinch: I was just thinking earlier that the glitch was probably due to the double layer.

 

Edit: how big is the French version?

It's 6.09 GB :wink:

 

S'il suffisait d'aimer makes me cry a lot :msn-cry: Those french songs is priceless :wub: but the bitrate of stereo audio is only 192kbps :blink: why don't they use LPCM audio :doh:

I got my deluxe edition :D. It looks very good!

It really does. I like the idea about giving us general information about the tour, how many flown miles, how many check-ins or what was it? and all the other infos :P i like it. Unfortunately we don thave the small pictures in big size......

 

I have it to!! :D

The general information is great! It makes me want to know more.

 

The whole package looks great, dont know why but I expected that it would be a little bigger, not dvd format.

And i was a little dissapointed when I noticed that the other half is paper, and the other half is the dvd case, haha when I opened the envelope I thought damn thats a thick book :D

 

And those tiny pictures :w00t: I want them to release another photobook! An english version with all the pictures that didnt make it into Autour Du Monde!!! :whistling:

 

Edit: did anyone noticed the wonderfull instrumentals throughout the movie? They are amazing :D :wub:

Did anyone else notice that on the English Live CD The first track is not the whole i drove all night remix intro but the ending duh duh duh duh duh duh part then the crowd applause but o nthe montreal live cd the whole i drove all night remix intro is there, strange.

I'm pretty sure it will be avaliable in stores too (coz I've heard it will be realeased here the 19th and in the US the 25th :D) but to be sure, ask someone who really have bought it already :P

Just ordered the 3 French editions (ADM, TMTC, Deluxe) from Amazon.fr :clap:

 

But it cost me €71 with shipping :cry: Oh well!
