I recieved my Taking Chances Tournée mondiale CD/DVD today and I luv the concert and all the rerecorded versions...

It is simply amazing although sometimes it is too obvious that they have mixed footage from Montréal and Boston....

Does anyone know if Celine did ''Your Song'' from the movie also during a sound check or did she record it at some point? I love her voice in that song. The little Japanese song was also very cute.

 

There is a small part where Celine does "Your Song" only in a soundcheck probably. I also love when she did "Ticket to Ride"! It would be amazing if she recorded these one day or even sang the whole song haha

Okee, I just watched the french concert...

 

I LOVE it!!

I think this one is much much better then the english one!!

The audience is much better, compared to the boring people in Boston. During the songs you can hear the audience (the way a LIVE concert should be)

Celine puts much more emotion into the songs. (wich I think is normal consider the fact that some english songs on Boston were re-recorded, and when you see and hear the french show you now what i mean)

 

She talks more (wich I very like)

I think it's a shame they didnt included her welcome speech in Boston, but Montreal makes it good She thanks the audience a few times, wich makes it really live for me.

 

But also watching the french show, makes me really really want also a full Montreal show ;-) When she starts with IDAN and speaks french you think Whaaah new material... and then, owh i've watched this before. And that happens a few times during the show, with My Love I was exited to see more reaction from the audience etc. So that's the only thing i had to 'complain' about ;-)

It makes you want a full Montreal dvd. But for sure it's far better then the Boston dvd.

Edit: also this dvd has a glitch after or before My Love, cant remember correctly!!

And DAMN 'S'il Suffisait D'aimer is AMAZING!!! It's like the whole audience is holding their breath!! It's another PQTME i think. But this song wasnt a single was it?

I have just finally watched the french concert.

Im so delightful by everything . INTRO is very long which made me feel awesome. As my point of view, nothing is missing there. IDAN is re-recorded(i'd say half of studio version and some other live version). I also noticed some other songs to be re-recorded like JSP cuz i think that the lipsync wasnt at the same level as the song at the end of it. Well, it doesnt bother me at all. She sounds great in any way. I was crying a lot listening Destin(which is my fave french song ever), ML, SSDA, LAEE, PQTME..

FLAMENCO is one of my favorite parts in lot of colours which moved me. Also, RDMM moved me very emotionally from the beginning, even before, when i heard it on the cd live for the first time. Celine is really great, serene and very hot . The best part from ML performance was when she started to sing and the audience screamed: 'JE T'AIME CELINEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!.' She just smiled and responded them with the same love. Sth very touching too. I loved the thing when she kissed the mike . I forgot what was the song. That was very cool. I laughed a lot. I like the way she sang the intro of MHWGO. That was sth extraordinary too what i really cant forget. As much as i was in love with Celine, i didnt realize that she was singing. I thought they were playing it . Then i realized they werent.

All in all, that's my first impression for now. Im in such an amazement that i cant remember all the stuff. When i do, i'll write again . That's probably tomorrow when i'll be watching it again cuz i love it and i cant stop :clap:

Hey...who has received their french taking chances concert dvd from MY PLAYDIRECT? I ordered mine last week and they said it would be here on the 11th..I live in the US...and I had to email them again yesterday to ask where it was and they emailed me back saying the FRECH concert dvd has not been released and will be out may 25 and that they will send it out then. Is this correct? Who has gotten their french concert from My play direct already? I think they have messed up my order. Thank you!

in the boston version during IDAN, doe she end the song on the platform or in the middle b/c it seems like they edited the ending to the montreal version which is kinda dumb, but just curious...
