Ejion Posted February 18, 2010 at 08:08 PM Posted February 18, 2010 at 08:08 PM I always feel left out in this forumI can't see the movieI never seen her live cos she never came to Libyaand all her CDs , DVDs I need to have from the internet illigally God I hate my life I feel bad that it's hard to get Celine stuff there in Libya. I actually had this idea to mail Celine stuff to people who have a hard time getting Celine stuff in their countries. The idea came to me when I saw Celine's bio For Keeps for only $10 at HMV! Of course, I bought the book when it first came out years ago and I thought that if only I knew someone who don't have the book, I'll buy it for them since it was on sale! I saw the movie last night with two of my aunts and my grandma. Of course, I paid for them ($60!) but just knowing that they really enjoyed the movie, it was worth it! I even paid for my friend(she's not a Celine fan but I was trying to convert her:P) to come see Celine with me in concert here in Toronto. Of course, I'm not rich or anyhting like that but when it comes to Celine, just want to 'share' and 'promote' her with everyone I meet and know hehehehehe.. Anyways, let me know which CDs or DVDs or books etc.. that you would REALLY want to have and I'll see if I could get it here in Canada^_^ Quote

Davide Silva Posted February 18, 2010 at 08:49 PM Posted February 18, 2010 at 08:49 PM Thanx for answer mate=))kisses and enjoy the next time=)).. I have to wait until dvds come out=(((I just got home...I knew it'd be great, but it was AMAZING! They did a really good job of putting it all together. Definitely worth the wait. It was funny, and also emotional...and it still amazes me after 8 years how she can SING!Just when I think I couldn't love her more, I do. And yes, I'm pretty sure there was some footage from Czech Republic... so much to take in and I'm exhausted, I don't really remember all the details. I'm seeing it again on Monday so hopefully more will stay in my brain next time. Quote

MrTim212 Posted February 18, 2010 at 09:30 PM Posted February 18, 2010 at 09:30 PM The movie was excellent, and I thought it was interesting that they used actual live vocals for "I Drove All Night," "The Power of Love," and "It's All Coming Back To Me Now," instead of the same playback tracks that we've been hearing for years. I hope we get those for the live CD/DVD. I also loved the fact that they included "I Got The Music In Me"! Maybe we'll get this as a bonus track! Sometimes though when you see the effort it takes to record some ofthese songs, its no wonder she mimes some of the time. Shaun Posted February 18, 2010 at 11:02 PM Posted February 18, 2010 at 11:02 PM Well i'm just in from seeing the movie. I've followed Celine all over the world. I've seen her in Edinburgh, Paris, London, Las Vegas and tonight she took me to, well, Dunfermline to see Through The Eyes Of The World. And I can safely say the movie is AMAZING!!!! The theatre was no-where near full but those who were there were die hard Celine fans and it was great to be in their company watching this quite magnificent documentary. Everyone else has commented on the vocals and I agree with them all, Celine sounds amazing throughout and the points where she doesn't is when she's struggling with her throat and those are difficult scenes to watch. Some quite outstanding moments for me though included: - Rene saying "no no no are you sure?" when Rene-Charles and Celine enter a lion compund. Hilarious.- Rene Charles and Rene on the golf course. Brilliant.- Rene asking the Czech woman what Celine should say when she goes on stage several times and still failing to get an answer from her. Then he and Celine speak about it and Celine was like "honey I've been told by the number one teacher what to say" and Rene says "Well I spoke to the person that taught the number one teacher." LMAO Brilliant - The footage of Celine singing in Arras is quite spectacular.- Celine pretending she's had an allergic reaction to something, I was in stitches laughing at her!! lol- I love the crazy Italian fan and the other meets and greets we saw Celine take part in.- The footage of Rene in Ladbrokes in Dublin was brilliant too. The he talks about selling 60,000 tickets for Dublin in an hour, clearly very proud. If I had to pick one thing wrong with the film it would be the "is that ok..................." montage we got over and over again at the start. But that's being extremely picky. This is a film for the fans no doubt about it and Celine and her team deliver yet again. She's a courageous, devoted, funny and talented woman and tonight, once more, I was proud to be a Celine Dion fan. Oh, and studio version of "The Show Must Go On" over the end credits anyone? Bring on a new album!! Loved it! Quote Bringing you the world's only Celine Dion podcast show since 2014.Find us on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Spotify & Amazon Music.
Brody-Celine Posted February 18, 2010 at 11:06 PM Posted February 18, 2010 at 11:06 PM OMD ! There was some Funny bits and i laughed my #ss off whilst getting weird looks from my sister , but i didnt care.. And btw All songs seemed pretty much LIVE to me ! no playbacks Quote
klgurney Posted February 18, 2010 at 11:27 PM Posted February 18, 2010 at 11:27 PM Just saw Through the eyes of the world last night and it was very memorable, but there were only a hand-full of peple there. What is wrong with the promotors???? There was nothing in any of our newspapers, radio etc. The theatre itself didn't have anything. People heard there was a movie on various prime-time shows but no dates, no cities mentioned. I only heard about it by fluke. Celine had two sold out shows here in Vancouver, the movie theatre should have been full. Can't Sony afford the advertising? Having said all that, love Celine and looking forward to the DVD. Quote
Lucie Posted February 19, 2010 at 12:03 AM Posted February 19, 2010 at 12:03 AM Great movie! Favorite moment was when Celine and Rene are in their car and finally arrive home and Rene is sleeping... Celine singing "My love we are finally home, time to unbuckle and get out of the car" to wake him up. Good stuff! Only 6 people in the theater though... almost like a prive viewing hehe I LOVED this part!!! The theater we were in last night was pretty large... but only 28 people. And I was the youngest by far. Alex_Incognito Posted February 19, 2010 at 12:22 AM Posted February 19, 2010 at 12:22 AM I went last night, and what a thrill it was! The cinema had about 20 people in the Céline movie. A much better turnout than I had anticipated. Do you all understand how lucky we are to have our favourite singer come out with a documentary in theatres? This doesn't happen to everyone! I laughed a lot, I even had some tears throughout the movie. It was very well done, my only complaint is that it started a little slow. It would have been nice to start out another way. The introduction, however, using the video footage used as the intro was absolutely amazing. The building up to "I Drove All Night" was fantastic. The scenes at the concentration camp in Germany were very, very powerful. As was the scene where Céline was losing her voice. I don't want to give too much away to you who haven't seen it yet. This movie made me understand how much I really love Céline. She's such an extraordinary woman and she puts her all in everything she does. It was NOTHING short of FANTASTIC! I plan on seeing it again next week! Quote "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990
Josh89 Posted February 19, 2010 at 12:25 AM Posted February 19, 2010 at 12:25 AM Saw it tonight in Manchester and OMD it was AMAZING. Celine is such a amazing person with the biggest heart in the world. I cried many times, I wept when the Woman in the wheelchair said Celine gave her a reason to keep on going when she was in the Hospital. This movie show's that Celine is much more than just a incredible singer, she is a incredible person. I loved the moments between her , Rene and Rene Charles. I loved the concert footage , it looks amazing on the big screen and the MHWGO performance is breathtaking. The Intro also is amazing , love the driving the car video , she looks so sexy. You all will LOVE this movie , it is one of the best I have ever seen. I really want to go and see it again and I don't regret missing Lady Gaga for it.
