remykyes Posted February 17, 2010 at 11:18 PM Posted February 17, 2010 at 11:18 PM That thing would do much better on VOD platforms or some cable channels. I can't understand why they're throwing away money showing it in theaters and making celine's first movie a failure. They'd better have used that money to properly promote her previous albums, and wait for some solid material to release on the big screen, rather than adapting a bonus feature of her DVD for theaters. It's not her first...did they not show "A New Day...Live in Las Vegas" on the BIG screen? Yep, and I'm pretty sure it didn't fare that well either. Quote New Signature Coming Soon!

I really hope you all get to see it, it was brilliant...cant wait for the DVD. I would go see it again but they are only playing it for tonight only, which is a shame and the METRO this morning stated it is only playing still monday or something which surprised me Anyway I loved it loved it loved it xxxx Quote

destin139 Posted February 18, 2010 at 12:00 AM Posted February 18, 2010 at 12:00 AM Hey guys So I'm just back from the Cineworld showing in Sheffield I was really surprised (so were others!) at just how many people there were I turned up expecting to be one of only a few, but the cinema was at least 75% full which was great It was such an incredible film... on a personal note it brought back beautiful memories of when I saw her live in London 2 years ago but it was so wonderful to see what goes on behind the scenes and in the life of Celine and her family. We shared their ups and downs, the laughter, the tears, the pain and the joy Celine has the gift of being able to inspire millions of people with just one smile, or a few sung notes... I feel privileged to be her fan, and that she wanted to share her world tour experience with us I can't wait for the DVD, wish I could go watch it again right now but that was the only showing in Sheffield I hope as many of you guys as possible get to see it... it's wonderful... I dont really have the words to fully do it, or more importantly her, justice Quote http://i717.photobucket.com/albums/ww171/destin139/Celine2.jpg

It's a good idea in some ways only because she has never had a movie documentry before.. but the general public is not going to go pay $15-$20 for a movie ticket to see a 2 hour long documentary about Celine Dion.. people love her yes.. and the fans all love her and we are the only ones who probably really care about this the most. I'm not trying to sound like a debbie downer or anything.. im sure this movie will be successful in some parts of the world and not as successful in others.. They should've marketed it a lot better than they did.. it wasnt until just the last week that we heard about it in the USA on entertainment shows and Oprah and Larry King.. and they really could've had a TV trailer or something to get the word out.. but what's important is that she made this for US the fans.. so who cares if this movie bombs.. I dont think they really expected huge numbers at the box office.. now I believe that when this thing comes on on Blue-Ray/DVD then watch out! It'll be like the A New Day DVD all over again.. only because more people will see it in stores etc.. And i think too that they need to eventaully have this available to watch On Demand and play it on Pay Per View and eventually put it on Showtime or HBO or something.. Quote The Wait Is Over?

I guess you had just built up your expectations too much. Hopefully on second viewing (when the DVD / Blu Ray comes out) you'll enjoy it a lot more. celinemaniac07 Posted February 18, 2010 at 01:24 AM Posted February 18, 2010 at 01:24 AM (edited) Wow...I havent seen the film yet and so i cant fully comment and regardless I am sure it will be one incredible documentary...but wow..all these songs either not in the film or drastically cut or shortened. Kinda confused why All By Myself isnt in full as it is on the promo...it sounds like there might be 3 or 4 songs that are close to being in full. Thats ok..this is a documentary and hopefully we will get the full show on dvd..but still wish we had more full performances in the film.....but thats nitpicking i guess.
