"My Love: Essential Collection" album - Official Topic

I think that all songs that charted AT ALL since the release of All The Way should be included. Also - the best of any unreleased songs. Don't just put filler songs on a Greatest Hits album. BAD IDEA.

I love the idea of a 2008 version of My Love. A couple of live tracks of her greatest hits would be a much better idea than the original studio recording. The very best of the live songs - even if they are from the 1990s. That way - the hits could be there without basically recreating All The Way.

I would hope Sony would take the time to put together as fresh of an album as possible.

Overall - I'm happy and I think it's a nice idea. I'm gonna miss her after the tour is over. :confused:

Some people complain over every little detail. They second guess every move Celine makes. Celine chooses her own path and we should respect it. I just don't see why. We should be so happy that we are getting a new cd very soon. I know that I am very excited and I will be happy with it however it turnes out!

Darren you have made my night! It's amazing that a Greatest Hits CD may become one of my favorites. I really hope Fade Away and Dance With My Father are ones that are included, at least one of them. I think it's cool when songs that were not hits (concerning radio) are put on Greatest Hits albums. I think its a nod to the fans. Could Sony have actually made us happy with this release?

Great news about her new upcoming greatest hits/best of album. I really hope that this album is similar to her ATW one, with half of the album being old favorites and the other half being new "unreleased" songs. I love the title of the album I can't wait. Im dying to believe that this album is coming out but i was just wondering why nothing has been mentioned on her official website yet? Or it hasnt been put on amazon as a pre order which new releases are put on there quite a while before the actual release!!! :hmm:

Well the idea seems similar to ATW: Release a Greates Hits album to occupy all us fans during her break! But I hope they have a couple of new tracks and some live ones too!

Also, it would be a good oppurtunity to put a sneak preview of the TCWT DVD in a deluxe CD+DVD version, like they did with TC for AND!! :drool:

I hope they really make an effort to promote this album! ATW has sold about 22 million copies, and I hope this one does really well too. We need more airplay for any singles that may be realeased from from this album (I heard TC and EOM once on UK radio around christams last year, months after TC was released!). A couple of new videos would be nice (I can't stand the makeshift videos for Alone and EOM!), however the tour restricts thing a lot! :angry:

Why do some people expect "rarities" when we are talking about a Greatest Hits album? Hits doesn't mean rarities... :music:

And unfortunately, Because You Loved Me and My Heart Will Go On WILL can't be left out... The older hits like If You Ask Me Too or Misled should be included since we don't have them on ALL other Celine albums... :rolleyes:

Well, I would much rather have an unreleased and (mostly) unheard song than some crappy I'm Alive (2008 version) or If I Can Dream (solo version or studio duet version), or some other repeat of what we already have like Map To My Heart or The Reason I Go On. The inedits for On ne change pas were amazing, so let's hope they are for this one, too.

Ok, but that's NOT her greatest hits. Most of people doesn't know 90% of these songs. It would be insane.

And about Let Me Be Your Soldier, I remember that the person who said that it was horrible, said that ALONE was a little bit poor, pop, no power... And it's one of the best songs on the album. So, it's a matter of taste. I still prefer something new than something we already can listen anytime we want.
