Hey folks,

 

I've just gone through the last pages to see if can add any news. I called my contact at Sony BMG Germany today and he confirmed the release of this GH but for the 31. of October. That's due to our different release scedule here in Germany (it's Friday for quite a while now)

He's also trying to put "Ne partez pas sans moi" on it (for Germany) since she had at least a lil success with this song her back than. He also mentioned a new version of "My love" but couldn't say if it will be a remix or a live version. BUT he said it will be a single here and it will contain a new song.

It is planned to release a 1CD and a 2 CD package, a DVD was mentioned but it is more likely that this is cancelled.

 

More infos, like Darren said, will come at the end of this week/at the beginning of the newxt week.

Celine was in the studio earlier this month, to re-record ''My Love'' - (the tour version of the song).

So I can say its not a remix or taken from any live performance of the song.....

 

As I said the tracklist has yet to be confirmed, but one of the 'new songs' that may be on the album, I have never heard of, so its definatley new...lol

But whether it makes the final cut and makes it onto the album is another thing!!

 

All will soon be revealed though.....

I can't agree. Let's remember that it's her GREATEST HITS album... People will buy it if it REALLY have her GH! Just look how ATW (with her REAL GH's) have sold and then the numbers of The Collector's Series (that had darker "hits").

Forget about ATW. This is a new greatest hits album, with all her oldies and more recent hits. People will buy it if they can get ALL her hits in one package.

 

I went to Japan recently and bought the Complete Best, which is a 2008 release, and that has all her oldies: TLYM, MHWGO, BYLM, IACBTMN, WDMHBN, TPOL. So I think this album will be similar.

Do they really think radio stations would air a 1-minute-acappella-intro song? It's a suicide. I hope they found a tricky solution to avoid tons of seconds of silence during the acappella intro.

Yes, ironically the original version is more radio-friendly than the one they want to release now. Wise move!

 

By the way, John Doelp told me that they are "still in the planning mode", so nothing is confirmed yet.

 

Another contact from Sony Music Europe confirmed the release date for October, 31st and that there will be from 2 to 4 new tracks.

 

Plus, the journalist from La Presse who wrote about the new Japanese version of "A World To Believe In" replied to me that Céline confirmed "she did record the song with a young Japanese girl this summer".
