Hey folks,

 

I've just gone through the last pages to see if can add any news. I called my contact at Sony BMG Germany today and he confirmed the release of this GH but for the 31. of October. That's due to our different release scedule here in Germany (it's Friday for quite a while now)

He's also trying to put "Ne partez pas sans moi" on it (for Germany) since she had at least a lil success with this song her back than. He also mentioned a new version of "My love" but couldn't say if it will be a remix or a live version. BUT he said it will be a single here and it will contain a new song.

It is planned to release a 1CD and a 2 CD package, a DVD was mentioned but it is more likely that this is cancelled.

 

More infos, like Darren said, will come at the end of this week/at the beginning of the newxt week.

It would be a real shame if they didnt release a DVD. I know ATW had some, but a comprehensive DVD would be amazing. Fingers crossed they change their mind.

yeah awful cover art and plus it doesnt sound like a real GH but it says a collection of favourites so they can add also many no famous songs

The new photo is one of my favourites from the tour book. Defo think it is a great choice of cover....although a new picture would have been better....

Well... I guess its nice they didn't use one of the TC photoshoot pictures again. The tourbook pictures are a lot lesser-seen by outsiders. And I've read so many people say that it's their favorite picture of her from the tourbook. And I like the purple background and letters

Well if Doelp changed his mind about ATW and he will apply his project to this, we will have those "hard to find tracks" as well, so something similar to collector's series volume 1:

This makes sense that it's an "Essential Collection", so many artists have released these and most of which are 2-CD sets. This gets them out of a 2002-2008 CD set, I guess.

 

I like the cover. Classy looking, but too much like TC.

oke well I LOVE the cover! although it's kinda cheap, she looks amazing in this photoshoot! let's hope there will be more inedit pictures from that shoot inside! at least it isn't one on the TC shoot! so that's a plus :whisting:

 

I do wonder what it will be, like a greatest hits, or maybe her best songs since 2000??!! 4 unknown tracks sounds cool to me! but I do hope they are new and not the ones Vinny mentioned LOL Still It would have been smarter if they had released a Collectors Volume 2

Still It would have been smarter if they had released a Collectors Volume 2

I imagine they call it that so they can throw the "essential" Celine fan songs at us again:

à la "Because You Loved Me", "The Power of Love", etc, etc. So I imagine it will be a "compilation of songs Celine lovers shouldn't live without."

 

Folks---don't ask people for the TC cover photo! It's in our "clause" NOT to share and copy things from their website. Do you want this site shut down because of violating that? It will show up on amazon or other sites in the next few days (even hours, I bet!)

 

As for the inédits---let's have them be completely previously unreleased. Not things released on other compilations---how boring is that?

Je sais pas, Seduces Me are also her favs, but I don't think they will be on it! Seriously I don't think Céline was involved in picking the songs what so ever! Oh and I wouldn't mind Dance with my Father NEXT to new original songs it's an amazing song, and people should know about it!

Celinedion.com news state it's a compilation of "favourites", not "hits". This could mean we will find some tracks that weren't single but successful songs (i.e. "I Surrender").
